Do not assume the roads are free of ice based
on the outside temperature display. Be aware
that there may be ice on roads even when the
outs ide temperature is around 41 °F (+5 °C)
and that ice can increase the risk of accidents.

tive parties (depending on the cell phone service p rovider) can be added to a conference ca ll. To
make an addit ional call, put all pa rti ci pants in
the curren t confe rence ca ll on ho ld using
Hold .
By pressing the left contro l button, yo u can make
additional calls from the directory or the call list.

-The telephone functions can on ly be con­
trolled with the multif unction steering
wheel if the telephone equipment was in­
stalled
at the factory.
- The telephone functions depend on the cell phone and whether they are supported by
your cell phone service provider or not.

Call waiting function must be act ivated
in your cell phone and in the MMI to be
alerted when there is an incoming call dur­
ing an act ive call. The call options depend
on the cell phone and se rvice provide r. You
can obta in mo re information from your cell
phone serv ice provider.
Navigation
Applies to: vehicles wi th naviga tion system
Requirement: the navigation tab must be dis­
played.
If you have not star ted rou te guidance, a com­
pass will disp lay in the drive r information sys ­
tem. The map is displayed in the Audi v irtual

Driving

For up to 10 minutes after stopping the en ­
gine, the rad iator fan may tu rn on again auto­
matically or it may continue to run (even if
the is ignit ion sw itched off) due to the follow­
ing reasons :
- The coolant temperat ure is increasing due
to trapped heat.
- If the engine is warm and the engine com­ partment also heats up from strong sun ­
li ght .
Messages
Engine runn ing. Warn ing! Turn off ignition be ­
fore leaving vehicle
This message appea rs and a warn ing tone sounds
if you open the driver's door when the engine is
running.
Pressing start/ stop button again will switch off
engine.

A WARNING
Adjust the volume of the audio system so that signals from outside the vehicle, such as po­
lice and fire sirens, can be heard easily at all
times.

The MMI switches off automatically if the en­
gine is not running and the vehicle battery is
low.
Infotainment system

Extending/retracting
The Infotainment system d isplay automatically
extends and retracts when you switch the MMI
on and off.

When the MMI is switched off and the display is
retracted, you can operate certain functions us­
ing the MMI On/Off knob with the joystick func­
tion

-If the vehicle has a cell phone prep", the In­
fotainment system display will automatical­ ly extend whenever there is an incoming
phone call.
- There may be delays when extending or re­
tracting the display.
