The names, logos, emblems, slogans,
vehicle model names, and vehicle
body designs appearing in this manual
including, but not limited to, GM, the
GM logo, CADILLAC, the CADILLAC
Emblem, and ESCALADE are
trademarks and/or service marks of
General Motors LLC, its subsidiaries,
affiliates, or licensors.
For vehicles first sold in Canada,
substitute the name“General Motors
of Canada Company ”for Cadillac
Motor Division wherever it appears in
this manual. This manual describes features that
may or may not be on the vehicle
because of optional equipment that
was not purchased on the vehicle,
model variants, country specifications,
features/applications that may not be
available in your region, or changes
subsequent to the printing of this
owner’s manual.
Refer to the purchase documentation
relating to your specific vehicle to
confirm the features.

of the manual. It is an alphabetical

appears as an image focused out
toward the front of the vehicle.
Caution
If you try to use the HUD image as
a parking aid, you may misjudge
the distance and damage your
vehicle. Do not use the HUD image
as a parking aid.
The HUD information can be
displayed in various languages. The
speedometer reading and other
numerical values can be displayed in
either English or metric units.
The language selection is changed
through the radio and the units of
measurement is changed through the
instrument cluster. See Vehicle
Personalization 0152 and “Cluster
Settings Menu ”under Instrument
Cluster 0130.
HUD Display on the Vehicle
Windshield
The HUD may display some of the
following vehicle information and
vehicle messages or alerts:
. Speed
. Tachometer
. Audio
. Phone
. Navigation
. Collision Alert
. Cruise Control
. Lane Departure .
Low Fuel
Some vehicle messages or alerts
displayed in the HUD may be cleared
by using the steering wheel controls.
See Vehicle Messages 0151.
Some information shown may not be
available on your vehicle if it is not
equipped with these features.
The HUD control is to the left of the
steering wheel.
To adjust the HUD image: 1. Adjust the driver seat.
2. Start the engine.
3. Use the following settings to adjust the HUD.

may not work if the OnStar equipment
is not properly installed or it has not
been properly maintained.
If equipment or software is added,
connected, or modified, OnStar
services may not work. Other
problems beyond the control of
OnStar—such as hills, tall buildings,
tunnels, weather, electrical system
design and architecture of the vehicle,
damage to the vehicle in a crash,
or wireless phone network congestion
or jamming —may prevent service.

Services for People with
Disabilities
Advisors provide services to help with
physical disabilities and medical
conditions.
Press
Qto help:
. Locate a gas station with an
attendant to pump gas.
. Find a hotel, restaurant, etc., that
meets accessibility needs. .
Provide directions to the closest
hospital or pharmacy in urgent
situations.
TTY Users
OnStar has the ability to communicate
to deaf, hard-of-hearing,
or speech-impaired customers while in
the vehicle. The available
dealer-installed TTY system can
provide in-vehicle access to all OnStar
services, except Virtual Advisor and
OnStar Turn-by-Turn Navigation.
OnStar Personal Identification
Number (PIN)
A PIN is needed to access some
OnStar services. The PIN will need to
be changed the first time when
speaking with an Advisor. To change
the OnStar PIN, contact an OnStar
Advisor by pressing
Qor calling
1-888-4ONSTAR.
Warranty
OnStar equipment may be warranted
as part of the vehicle warranty.
Languages
The vehicle can be programmed to
respond in multiple languages.
Press
Qand ask for an Advisor.
Advisors are available in English,
Spanish, and French. Available
languages may vary by country.
Potential Issues
OnStar cannot perform Remote Door
Unlock or Stolen Vehicle Assistance
after the vehicle has been off
continuously for 10 days without an
ignition cycle. If the vehicle has not
been started for 10 days, OnStar can
contact Roadside Assistance or a
locksmith to help gain access to the
vehicle.
Global Positioning System (GPS)
. Obstruction of the GPS can occur
in a large city with tall buildings;
in parking garages; around
airports; in tunnels and
underpasses; or in an area with
very dense trees. If GPS signals are
not available, the OnStar system
should still operate to call OnStar.
