(*) Regardless of the distance covered, the timing drive belt must be changed every 4 years for particularly demanding use (cold
climates, town driving, long periods of idling) or at least every 5 years
(#) On the 1.4 T-Jet and 1.4 Turbo MultiAir versions the following are extremely important to ensure correct operation and prevent
serious damage to the engine: only use spark plugs specially tested for T-Jet and MultiAir engines (see paragraph "Engine") of the
same mark and type; strictly comply with the Scheduled Servicing Plan; you are advised to contact a Fiat Dealership
(°**) If the vehicle is mainly used for town driving or has an annual mileage of less than 10,000 km, the engine oil and engine oil filter
should be changed every 12 months.

❒visually inspect conditions of: engine, gearbox,
transmission, pipes and hoses (exhaust - fuel
system - brakes) and rubber elements (boots -
sleeves - bushes - etc.);
❒check battery charge and battery fluid level
(electrolyte);
❒visually inspect condition of the accessory drive
belts;
❒check and, if necessary, change engine oil and
replace oil filter;
❒check and, if necessary, replace pollen filter.
CHECKING FLUID LEVELS
When topping up, take care not to mix
up the various types of fluids: they are
not compatible with each other and
could seriously damage the car.
WARNING
Never smoke while working in the
engine compartment : inflammable
gases and vapours may be present ,
constituting a fire risk.
