voltage battery. Otherwise, the vehicle's
high-voltage electrical system could be
damaged.
X Stop the vehicle if the internal combustion
engine is running.
The internal combustion engine drives the
electric motor. The electric motor is oper-
ating as an alternator. The high-voltage bat- tery is charging.
If the high-voltage battery is too heavily dis-
charged, recharge the high-voltage battery to
at least 60% of its capacity. In the "Charging
when stationary" operating mode, you can
observe the charge status of the high-voltage
battery up to a maximum of 70% in the
COMAND display and in the multifunction dis- play (Y page 277). Battery (vehicle)
