monotonous journey ssuch as on motorways
and trunk roads. It is active in the 80 km/h
to 180 km/h range.
If ATTENTION ASSIST detects typical indica-
tors of fatigu eorincreasing lapses in con-
centration on the part of the driver, it sug-
gests taking abreak. G
WARNING
ATTENTION ASSIST is only an aid and may
detect yourt iredness or lapses in concentra-
tion too late or not at all. It is not asubstitute
for aw ell reste dand attentiv edriver.
Fatigue may caus eyou to recognise hazard-
ous situations to olate ,misjudge asituation
or reac tslower. For this reason ,makes ure
you fee lreste dbefore you begin driving and
durin gyour journey. Always tak ebreaks in
good tim eand regularly, especiall yduring
lon gjou rneys. Otherwise, you may fail to rec-
ognise danger sintime, caus eanacciden tand
injure yoursel fand others.
ATTENTIO NASSIST assesses your level of

the following criteria into account:

R if you are currently using COMAND APS or

you change lanes or change your speed

relevant to safety or on safety-related sys-
tems must be carried out at aqualified spe-
cialist workshop. Otherwise, the vehicle's
roadworthiness could be affected.
! Only have maintenanc ework on the
engine electronics and its associated parts,
such as control units, sensor sand connec-
tor leads, carried out at aqualified special-
ist workshop, e.g. aMercedes-Benz Service
Centre. Vehicle componentsm ay other-
wise wear mor equickly and th evehicle's
operatin gpermit may be invalidated. Retrofitting of two-way radios and

cialist workshop. Mercedes-Benz recom-
mends that you use aMercedes-Benz Service

Deviations with respect to aerial locations,
output and frequencies must be approved by
Mercedes-Benz.
There is no restriction for aerial position sin
the outer area of the vehicle for these wave-
bands: trunked radio/Tetra, 70 cm wave-
band, GSM 900/AMPS, GSM 1800a nd
UMTS.
Legal provision sfor fittings must be
observed.
RF transmitters with amaximum transmis-
sion output of 100 mW (PEAK) may be used
in the vehicle without restrictions.
! The operatin gpermit may be invalidated
if the instructions for installation and use of
RF transmitters are not observed, e.g.
approved wavebands, maximum output
and aerial position sonthe vehicle.
