This can cause damage toparts of the body. #
When stopping theve hicle and when
driving o., make sure that there are no
obstacles such as kerbs under or in the
immediate vicinity of the body. %
Ifyo u park theve hicle for a long period,
obser vethefo llowing no tes:
R Make sure the high-voltage battery has a
su1cient state of charge , especially at
ve ry low outside temp eratures. In this way
yo u can avoid any problems when the
ve hicle is subsequently star ted. R
If possible, avoid parking spaces in direct
sunlight.
Obser vethe no tes on charging the high-volt-
age battery (/ page 167). #
Bring theve hicle toa standstill bypressing the
brake pedal. #
Ongradients, turn the front wheels so that the
ve hicle will rollto wa rdsth eke rb if it starts
moving. #
Apply the electric parking brake. #
Engage transmission position jin a station-
ary vehicle with the brake pedal depressed
(/ page 166). #
Switch o. theve hicle bypressing button 1. #
Release the service brake slo wly. #
Get out of theve hicle and lock it.
% When you park theve hicle, you can still oper-
ate the side windo wsand the sliding sunroof
fo r appr oximately four minutes if the driver's
