The electrolyte is hazardous tohealth and cau-

with your skin, eyes, respiratory or gans or
clo thing or be swallo wed. #
Ifyo u come into contact with electrolyte,
obser vethefo llowing:
R Immediate lyrinse the electrolyte
from your skin with water and seek
medical attention.
R If electrolyte comes into contact with
your eyes, immediately rinse them
th oroughly with clean water and seek
medical attention.
R Ifth e electrolyte is swallo wed, imme-
diately rinse your mouth out thor-
oughl y.Do not induce vomiting. Seek

This function is an on-demand feature
(/ page 26).
The rear axle steering is an elect romechanical
auxiliary steering on there ar axle which adjusts
th e steering of there ar wheels according tothe
position of the front wheels, depending on the
speed. This results in greater manoeuvrability and
impr oved driving stability, e.g. when cornering.
Re ar axle steering has thefo llowing characteris-
tics:

sharply or engage reve rsege ar.

not stop.

stee ring wheel gearshiT paddle. If permitted, the

paddle being pulled.

All of theve hicle functions remain active. Glide mode is activated if
thefo llowing conditions
are met:
R Drive prog ram ; is selected.
R The speed is within a suitable range.
R The road's course is suitable, e.g. no steep
uphill or downhill inclines or tight bends.
R There is no trailer hitched up tothe trailer
hitch, and no bicycle rack Fitted.
R You do not depress the accelerator or brake
pedal (e xcept for light brake applications).
% Glide mode can also be activated if you ha ve

ing tone and theØ Active Parking Assist fin-
ished, take control of vehicle message prompt

accelerate, brake, steer and change gear yourself
again.

limit during the manoeuvring or parking proce-
dure, the procedure will be cancelled:
R The vehicle is brought toa standstill.
R Transmission position jis selected and the
electric parking brake is applied automaticall y.
R The vehicle is switched o..
R The vehicle remains loc ked.
If th e parking manoeuvre is cancelled, a cor re-
sponding message is displa yed on the mobile
phone.
Depending on the situation, you can then take
cont rol of the procedure, manoeuvre theve hicle
back tothe starting position or manually take con-
trol of theve hicle.
The system limits of Active Parking Assist apply
(/ page 321).
Cer tain environmental conditions, such as sno w-
fa ll or heavy rain, may lead toa parking space
being measured inaccurately or toconnection
problems with the mobile phone. Only use
Re mo teParking Assist on le vel, high-g rip gr ound. During
the parking procedure, you should not
stand more than appr ox. 3.0 m away from the
ve hicle. Atgre ater dis tances, the procedure will
be inter rupted and a cor responding message will
be displ ayed on the mobile phone. If you mo ve
closer totheve hicle, you will be able tocontinue
th e procedure.

objects are in the path of your vehicle. #
Make sure that you maintain a suitable
distance totheve hicle and that nei ther
yo u nor other road users could be
endangered. #
Beawa reoftheve hicle's sur roundings at
all times and identify possible dangers. #
If necessar y,cancel the parking proce-
dure. No persons or pets are permitted
