celerating.
Avoidunnecessaryacceleratingandbraking.
Vehicles

celerating.Ifyouanticipatewhatisgoingto
happennext, youwillneedtobrake lessand,
thus,accelerateless. Letthevehiclecoast
wheneverpossible-forexamplewhenyousee
thatthenexttrafficlightisred.
Avoid

Drivingatmoderate speedssavesfueland
improves yourmileage.

Acceleratinggentlyreducesfuelconsump­

Fuel

quartersoftopspeed,fuelconsumptionwill

thanthepostedspeedlimitandweathercon­
ditionspermit.
Reducing unnecessary idling
EvenwhenyourcarisJustidlingitburns up
fuel.

Itmakessensetoshutofftheengineintraffic

assuresthatall-importantcontactbetween
you,your vehicleandtheroad.
Maintaining
thecorrecttirepressure,ma king
surethatyour vehicleanditstiresdonothave
tocarrymoreweightthantheycansafely han­
dle, avoiding
damagefromroadhazardsand
regularly
inspectingtiresfordamageinclud­
ing cuts,
slashesirregularwearandoverall
condition
arethemostimportantthingsthat
you candotahelpavoidsuddentirefailure in­
cluding
treadseparationandblowouts.

Unidirectionaltires
