The vehicle is fitted with four safety belts to
ensure occupant safety. However, they can
only offer protection when adjusted correctly.
General
information
Always make sure that safety belts are being
worn by all occupants before driving off. Alj
though airbags enhance safety by providing added protection, they are not a substitute forsafety belts.
The upper shoulder strap's anchorage point will be correct for adult seat occupants of evj ery build if the seat is correctly adjusted.

If the safety belt is used to buckle more
than one person, the efficacy of safety gear, inj cluding safety belts can no longer be ensured.
There is a risk of injuries or danger to life. Do not allow more than one person to wear a sinj
gle safety belt. Infants and children are not alj lowed on an occupant's lap, but must be transjported and secured in designated childrestraint systems.'

'yThe safety belts or safety belt buckles aredamaged, soiled, or changed in any other
way.'yBelt tensioners or belt retractors were modified.
Safety belts can be imperceptibly damaged inthe event of an accident. There is a risk of injuj
ries or danger to life. Do not modify safety
belts, safety belt buckles, belt tensioners, belt
retractors or belt anchors and keep them
clean. Have the safety belts checked after an
accident at the dealerss service center or anj other qualified service center or repair shop.'

WARNING
Objects on the head restraint reduce the
protective effect in the head and neck area.
There is a risk of injury.'yDo not use seat or head restraint covers.'yDo not hang objects, for instance clothes
hangers, directly on the head restraint.'yOnly use accessories that have been dej termined to be safe for attachment to a
head restraint.'yDo not use any accessories, for instance
pillows, while driving.'

Height
Settings'yTo lower: press the button, arrow 1, and
push the head restraint down.'yTo raise: push the head restraint up.
Folding
down

Only fold the head restraint back if no one will
be sitting in the seat in question.
'yTo the back: press the button, arrow 1, and
fold the head restraint back, arrow 2.'yTo the front: fold head restraint forward unj til the head restraint engages.
Removing
Only remove the head restraint if no one will besitting in the seat in question.
1.Raise the head restraint up against the rej

The following settings can be stored and, if necessary, retrieved using the memory funcj tion:

Two memory locations with different settings can be set for each driver profile, refer to
page 58.
Depending on the vehicle equipment, the folj
lowing settings are not stored:
'yBackrest width.'yLumbar support.

Using the memory function while driving
can lead to unexpected movements of the
seat. Vehicle control could be lost. There is a
risk of an accident. Only retrieve the memory function when the vehicle is stationary.'

WARNING
There is a risk of jamming when moving
the seats. There is a risk of injury or risk of
property damage. Make sure that the area of movement of the seat is clear prior to any adjjustment.'
