cants, and wear materials are calculated sepaj rately. Further information is available from a

CBS
Concept
Sensors and special algorithms take into acj
count the driving conditions of the vehicle.
CBS uses these to calculate the need for
maintenance.
The system makes it possible to adapt the amount of maintenance corresponding to your user profile.Generalinformation

play.
Servicedataintheremotecontrol Information on the required maintenance iscontinuously stored in the remote control. Thedealerss service center can read this data outand suggest a maintenance scope for the vehijcle.
Therefore, hand the service advisor the remote
control with which the vehicle was driven most
recently.
Storageperiods Storage periods during which the vehicle batj
tery was disconnected are not taken into acj count.
If this occurs, have a dealer's service center or another qualified service center or repair shopupdate the time-dependent maintenance projcedures, such as checking brake fluid and, if
necessary, changing the engine oil and the mij
crofilter/activated-charcoal filter.

intricate component intended to be used in
conjunction with specialized equipment to check the vehicless primary emissions system.Improper use of the socket for Onboard Diagjnosis, or contact with the socket for Onboard
Diagnosis for other than its intended purpose,
can cause vehicle malfunctions and creates risks of personal and property damage. Given
the foregoing, the manufacture of your vehicle
strongly recommends that access to the socket for Onboard Diagnosis be limited to a
dealer's service center or another qualified service center or repair shop or other persons
that have the specialized training and equipj
ment for purposes of properly utilizing the
socket for Onboard Diagnosis.'

If the wiper arm falls onto the windshield
without the wiper blades installed, the windj
shield can be damaged. There is a risk of propj
erty damage. Secure the wiper arm when rej
placing the wiper blades and do not fold down
the wipers without the wiper blades installed.'

Bulbs can get hot during operation. Conj

three wheel house panel screws, arrow 1. Carefully pull back the wheel house panel,
arrow 2.2.Pull off the bulb connector, arrow 1.
Turn the bulb, arrow 2.
Left side of vehicle: turn clockwise.
Right side of vehicle: turn counterclockj wise.
Remove the bulb.3.Insert the new bulb, connect the connector and screw on the wheel house panel.

These front fog lights are made using LED

TurnsignalinexteriormirrorThe turn signals in the exterior mirrors feature
LED technology. In the case of a malfunction,

These lights are made using LED technology.

The battery is maintenance-free.
The added amount of acid is sufficient for the
service life of the battery.

Replacingthevehiclebattery
Generalinformation
The manufacturer of your vehicle recommends that you have a dealerss service center or anjother qualified service center or repair shop
register the vehicle battery to the vehicle after
the battery has been replaced. Once the batj
tery has been registered again, all comfort feaj
tures will be available without restriction and
any Check Control messages displayed which
relate to comfort features will disappear.

Vehicle batteries that are not compatible
can damage vehicle systems and impair vehij
cle functions. There is a risk of personal and
property damage. Only vehicle batteries that are compatible with your vehicle type should

Removingthecover1.Use the onboard vehicle tool kit to loosen
the three cover screws, arrow 1.2.Pull up the holder, arrow 2.3.Remove the cover from one side, arrow 3.4.Press the four fasteners and remove the
cover.

1.When attaching the cover, make sure that all four fasteners are engaged.2.Attach the cover under the rubber lip and
then thread it between the bars.3.Press down on the holder and tighten the
