Parking the vehicle
Immobilise the vehicle where it does
n o t b l o c k t r a f fi c : i f p o s s i b l e , p a r k t h e
v e h i c l e o n l e v e l , s t a b l e a n d n o n -
s l i p p e r y g r o u n d .
A p p l y t h e h a n d b r a k e , s w i t c h o f f t h e
i g n i t i o n a n d e n g a g e fi r s t g e a r t o l o c k
the wheels.
I f n e c e s s a r y , p l a c e a c h o c k u n d e r
t h e w h e e l d i a g o n a l l y o p p o s i t e t h e
w h e e l t o b e c h a n g e d .
N e v e r g o u n d e r n e a t h a v e h i c l e
r a i s e d u s i n g a j a c k ; u s e a s t a n d .
Removing the wheel List of operations
I f y o u r v e h i c l e i s e q u i p p e d w i t h o n e
( e q u i p m e n t a v a i l a b l e a s a n a c c e s -
s o r y ) fi t t h e a n t i - t h e f t s o c k e t 5 on
the wheelbrace 1 t o u n l o c k t h e a n t i -
theft bolt.
U n l o c k t h e o t h e r b o l t s u s i n g t h e
wheelbrace 1 o n l y .
P l a c e t h e j a c k 2 in contact with one
of the two front A or rear B locations
p r o v i d e d o n t h e u n d e r f r a m e , w h i c h -
ever is closest to the wheel to be
c h a n g e d .
E x t e n d t h e j a c k 2 u n t i l i t s b a s e p l a t e
i s i n c o n t a c t w i t h t h e g r o u n d . E n s u r e
t h a t t h e c e n t r e l i n e o f t h e j a c k b a s e
p l a t e i s d i r e c t l y b e l o w t h e l o c a t i o n A
or B u s e d .
R a i s e t h e v e h i c l e u n t i l t h e r e i s s u f fi -
c i e n t s p a c e b e t w e e n t h e w h e e l a n d
t h e g r o u n d t o a d m i t t h e s p a r e ( n o t
p u n c t u r e d ) w h e e l e a s i l y .
Remove the bolts and store them in
a c l e a n p l a c e .
Remove the wheel.
