TOWING THE VEHICLE
Access to the tools Towing your vehicle

 On the front bumper, unclip the cover
by pressing at the top left and pull-
ing at the bottom right of the cover.

 Screw the towing eye in fully.

 Install the towing bar.

 Switch on the hazard warning lamps
on the towed vehicle.

 Place the gear lever in neutral.
 On the rear bumper, unclip the
cover by pressing at the bottom.

 Screw the towing eye in fully.

 Install the towing bar.

 Switch on the hazard warning lamps
on the towed vehicle.
Towing another vehicle
The towing eye is installed under the
boot fl oor.
To gain access to it:

 open the boot,

 remove the adjustable boot fl oor,

 lift up the boot carpet,

 remove the towing eye from the tool
holder. When towing with all four wheels
on the ground, always use a towing
bar.
When towing with only two wheels
on the ground, always use profes-
sional lifting equipment.
When towing with the engine off,
there is no longer any braking or
steering assistance.
Failure to observe this special con-
dition could result in damage to
certain braking components and
the absence of braking assistance
the next time the engine is started.
Procedure for having your vehicle towed
or for towing another vehicle using a re-
movable towing eye.

IDENTIFICATION MARKINGS
Various visible markings for the identifi cation of your vehicle.
If the infl ation pressures are too low,
this increases fuel consumption.
The infl ation pressures must be
checked when the tyres are cold,
at least once a month.

A. Vehicle Identifi cation Number
(VIN) on the front right door pillar.
This number is engraved on the bodywork near the hinge.
For access to it, open the right-hand door.
B. VIN on the windscreen lower
crossmember.
The number is on a self-adhesive label which is visible through the
windscreen.

C. Manufacturer's label.
This number is indicated on a self- destroying label affi xed to the centre
pillar, on the left-hand side.
D. Tyre/paint label.
This label is affi xed to the centre pillar, on the left-hand side.
It bears the following information:
- the tyre infl ation pressures with and without load,
- the wheel rim and tyre sizes,
- the brands of tyre recommended by the manufacturer,
- the infl ation pressure of the spare wheel,
- the paint colour code.
