A conidential card is given to the
new owner when he takes delivery
of his new vehicle.
This card bears a hidden access
code for the use of the CITROËN
dealer when maintaining the
electronic immobiliser device.
Do not scratch the protective
strip , the security of the immobil-
iser system depends on the infor-
mation below remaining covered.
Should the card be lost, the
immobiliser device can no longer
be considered secure.
Never attempt to modify the electronic immobiliser’s electr ical
circuit, as that could render your vehicle undriveable .
Should the conidential card become lost, a CITROËN deale r
would have to undertake a major repair.
In the event of a change of vehicle ownership, it is essenti
al for the new
owner to possess the CODE card.
Never leave it in the vehicle.
Advice
C O D E C A R D
Keep the code card bearing your personal electronic immobiliser numb er
in a safe place (never in the vehicle).
If any key modiications become necessary (addition, cancellation or
replacement of the key), you must take the conidential card toget her with
all the keys to a CITROËN dealer.
Also, for any operation on your vehicle’s electronic systems, CITROËN
may need to request this card from you.

ALWAYS PAY ATTENTION TO WHERE CHILDREN ARE WHEN OPENING OR CLOSING WINDOWS.
- Always remove the ignition key when leaving the vehicle, even for
short periods.
- If the driver is operating the passenger’s electric window con trol, the
driver should ensure that no passenger is obstructing the window from
closing.
- The driver should check that the electric windows are used prop erly by
the passengers.
- Should there be any risk of a person becoming trapped by a wi ndow
closing, you should immediately reverse the window movement. To d o
this, reverse the position of the control concerned.
Child safety precaution
The electrical security is operated
by pressing the control located on
the electric windows control panel.
This deactivates movement of the
rear electric windows, sliding side
doors and second and third row
sun roofs.
Doors can still be opened from the
outside and controlled electrically
from the front seat position.
Note:
the electric windows can
also be operated for a limited
time after the ignition has been
switched off (including after the
front doors have been opened).

switched off.
- It lights up as the doors are locked and when the ignitio n is switched on.
- It goes out if the doors are not locked.
Note: the control A is inactive if the vehicle has been locked by the remote
control or the key.
Anti-theft security
In all cases, as soon as the vehicle is moving at more than 10 km/ h (6 mph)
the tailgate locks automatically.
The tailgate unlocks when a door is opened or when the in terior locking/
unlocking control is actioned.
Anti-intrusion security
After you have started the vehicle, the system automatically locks th e
doors as soon as you reach approx.10 km/h (6 mph).
Note: If a door is opened at any time, it will automatically relo ck as the
vehicle attains approx.10 km/h (6 mph).
Activation / Deactivation of the anti-intrusion security
After you switch on the ignition, give a long press on the central locking but-

is secured by means of the vehicle seat belt and approved as “Uni versal”
depending on the weight of the child.
U : Seat position suitable for installation of a unive rsal rear-facing child seat and a universal forward -facing child seat
L- : Only the child seats indicated can be installed in the seat position concerned (depending on destinat ion). Consult the

(a) If you are installing a “rear-facing” child sea t in the front passenger’s seat position, it is essential to deactivate the front

Capacity: See
“Capacities”
When looking under the bonnet, with the engine hot,
even if stopped and the ignition switched off, the cooling fan may operate at any time.
B - Radiator - coolant
Checking the level and topping up must always be done
with the engine cold.
Engine hot:
Remove the protection cover. Wait ifteen minutes or
until the temperature is well below 100° C, then carefull
y
unscrew the cap to allow the pressure to drop, protecting
yourself with a cloth, for example.
Topping up the cooling system
The coolant level should be between the MIN and MAX marks on t he
header tank.
Top up the level. If you have to add more than 1 litre, h ave the cooling
system checked by a CITROËN dealer.
Fully secure the cap.
Note: The need to top up the coolant frequently is an indicat ion of a
malfunction, which you should have checked at the earliest op portunity.
Note: the cooling fan may operate for some ten minutes after the e ngine
has stopped.
C - Power steering oil
For topping up, it is necessary to go to a CITROËN dealer. L E V E L S

Access to the battery
The battery is located under the loor on the front right
hand side (see “Battery compartment fuses”).
Emergency starting with a slave battery
A vehicle with a discharged battery can be started
with either a slave battery or the battery of another
vehicle.
A Discharged battery
B Slave battery
C Earth point on broken down vehicle.
It is essential to proceed strictly following the sequence
indicated.
Check that the emergency battery is correctly charged
up (12 volts). If you are using the battery on another
vehicle, stop the engine of the assisting vehicle. The
two vehicles must not come into direct contact with
each other.
Connect the cables in the order indicated in the
diagram. Make sure that the clamps are properly
secured (risk of sparks).
Start the engine of the assisting vehicle. Let the engine
run for about a minute at a slightly accelerated speed.
Never apply a lame or create sparks close
to the battery (explosive gas). The battery contains diluted sulphuric acid which is highly corrosive.
If ever you are handling the battery, protect your eyes a nd face.
In the event of any contact with the skin, rinse
immediately with copious amounts of fresh water.
Advice
Replace it with a battery of the
same type (voltage, amp rating).
Do not touch the cable clamps
during the procedure.
Do not lean over the batteries.
Disconnect the cables in the
reverse order to connection,
ensuring that they do not touch
each other. Start the engine of the assisted vehicle.
Note:
For any repair necessitating a disconnection
of the battery, it is essential to wait three minutes
after switching off the ignition and to avoid any action
that could prevent the vehicle’s electrical circuit from
changing to standby mode (such as opening and
closing doors, using the remote control etc.).
