CHILD SEATS secured by means of the vehicle seat belt
In conformity with Directive 2000/3, the table below tells
you to what ex-
tent each of the seat positions in your vehicle may take a chil d seat that
is secured by means of the vehicle seat belt and approved as “Uni versal”
depending on the weight of the child.
U : Seat position suitable for installation of a unive rsal rear-facing child seat and a universal forward -facing child seat
L- : Only the child seats indicated can be installed in the seat position concerned (depending on destinat ion). Consult the
section “User Precautions”, chapter on “Child Safet y” at the end of the handbook.
X : Seat position not suitable for installation of a c hild seat of the weight group indicated.
(a) If you are installing a “rear-facing” child sea t in the front passenger’s seat position, it is essential to deactivate the front
passenger’s airbag.
Before installing your child in the front passenger’s seat posi tion, consult the legislation in force in your country on
the carrying of children in this position.
