This section describes the operation of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system, the scented air freshener and all of the adjustments
for the seats, steering wheel and mirrors, for your comfor t and an optimum driving position.

Rear screen demist - defrost
Switching on
The rear screen demisting/defrosting can onlyoperate when the engine is running.)Press this button to demist/defrost the rear
screen and (depending on version) the door mirrors. The indicator lamp associated with
the button comes on.



Switching off

The demisting/defrosting switches off
automatically to prevent an excessiveconsumption of current.) It is possible to stop the demisting/defrosting operation before it is switchedoff automatically by pressing the button
again. The indicator lamp associated with
th
e button switches off. )
Switch off the demisting/defrosting of the rear screen and door mirrorsas soon as appropriate as lower current consumption results inreduced fuel consumption.


If the engine is switched off before the demisting/defrosting is switched off automatically, demisting/defrosting will resume next time the engine isswitched on.

Mirrors
Each fitted with an adjustable mirror glasspermitting the lateral rearward vision necessary
for overtaking or parking. They can also be
folded for parking in confined spaces.
Demisting - Defrosting
If your vehicle is fitted with heated mirrors, the demisting-defrosting
operates with the engine running, by switching on the heated rear screen (refer to the "Rear screen demist-defrost"page).

Door mirrors
The objects observed are, in reality,
closer than they appear.Take this into account in order to correctly judge the distance of vehicles approaching from behind.

Unfolding

If the mirrors are folded using control A , they will not unfold when the vehicle is unlocked. Pull again on control A.

The folding and unfolding of the door mirrors using the remote control can bedeactivated by a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.
Never fold or unfold the electric foldingmirrors manually.

automatically and progressively changes
between the day and night uses.
Automatic day/night model

In order to ensure optimum visibilityduring your manoeuvres, the mirror lightens automatically when reversegear is engaged.

As a safety measure, the mirrorsshould be adjusted to reduce the "blindspot".

Adjustable mirror providing a central rearwardview.
Equipped with an anti-dazzle system, whichdarkens the mirror glass: this reduces
the nuisance to the driver caused by the headlamps from following vehicles, low sun...

Remote control key System which permits central unlocking or locking of the vehicle using the lock or from a distance. It is also used to locate and start the vehicle, as well as providing protection against theft.

If one of the doors or the boot is stillopen, the central locking does not takeplace.
When the vehicle is locked, if it isunlocked inadvertently, it will relockautomatically after thirty secondsunless a door or the boot is open.

The folding and unfolding of the door mirrors using the remote control can bedeactivated by a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.

Press the closed padlock again within fiveseconds to deadlock the vehicle.

Turn the key to the left in the driver’s door lock to lock the vehicle completely.

the vehicle completely.
Deadlocking renders the exterior andinterior door controls inoperative.
It also deactivates the manual centralcontrol button.
Therefore, never leave anyone insidethe vehicle when it is deadlocked.

the same time. If you do not press the button when folding the key, there is a risk of damage to the mechanism.

automatic illumination of headlamps is
accompanied by a message in the screen.

Turn ring to a position other than "AU TO ".
Deactivation is accompanied by a message

Association with the automatic "Guide-me-home" lighting

Association with the automatic illumination of
headlamps provides "guide-me-home" lighting
with the following additional options:


- selection of the lighting duration to 15,30 or 60 seconds in the functions that can
be set in the vehicle configuration menu(except in the case of the monochrome screen A, for which the duration is set:
60 seconds),

- automatic activation of "guide-me-home"lighting when automatic illumination of
headlamps is in operation.



Operating fault

In the event of a fault with thesunshine sensor, the lightingcome on, this warning lamp is displayed in
the instrument panel and/or a message appears
in the screen, accompanied by an audible signal.
Contact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified
workshop.
In fog or snow, the sunshine sensor may detect sufficient light. Therefore, the lighting will not come onautomatically.
Do not cover the sunshine sensor,coupled with the rain sensor and located in the centre of the windscreenbehind the rear view mirror; theassociated functions would no longer be controlled.
