When immobilising the vehicle, with the hybrid system active, you must place the gear lever in neutral N.Before carrying out any work in the
engine compar tment, check that the gear lever is in neutral N and that the parking brake is applied.

Stopping the vehicle

With the ignition on, the flashing of this warning lamp,
accompanied by an audible
signal and a message
in the instrument panel screen, indicates a
malfunction of the gearbox.
Have it checked by a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop. Be
fore switching off the engine, you can choose to:

- move to position N
to engage neutral,

- leave the gear engaged; in this case, it will
not be possible to move the vehicle.

In both cases, you should apply the parkingbrake to immobilise the vehicle.

Operating fault

You must press the brake pedal when star ting the engine.
Whatever the circumstances, you must manually apply the parking brake when
parking, unless the parking brake isprogrammed in automatic mode.

Never leave children unsupervised in the vehicle with the hybrid system active.

For your safety, this function will only be activated if you press the brakepedal when engaging for ward drive or reverse.

This function is deactivated if thedriver's door is opened. To reactivate it, close the door and then press the brake or accelerator pedal.
Creep function (moving

)
This function facilitates manoeuvring of the
vehicle at low speed (when parking, in traffic jams, …).
With the hybrid system active and the parking
brake released, if position A, M or R
is selected, the vehicle moves as soon as you
take your foot off the brake pedal (even without any action on the accelerator).

Safety
Dynamic stability control (DSC)

Activation
This system is activated automatically eachtime the vehicle is started.
It comes into operation in the event of a grip or
tra
jectory problem.
This is indicated by
flashing of thiswarning lamp in the instrument panel.

Deactivation

In exceptional conditions (starting a vehicle
which is bogged down, stuck in snow, on soft ground...), it may be advisable to deactivate
the DSC system, so that the wheels can move freely and regain grip.

The DSC system offers exceptional
safety in normal driving, but this should not encourage the driver to take extra risks or drive at high speed.
The correct operation of the system depends on obser vation of the manufacturer's recommendationsregarding the wheels (tyres and rims),the braking components, the electronic components and the CITROËN assembly and operation procedures.
After an impact, have the systemchecked by a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.

Operating fault

If this warning lamp comes on,
accompanied by an audible signal
and a message in the instrument
panel screen, this indicates a
fault with the system.
Contact a CITROËN dealer or a qualifiedworkshop to have the system checked.
Reactivation
The system is reactivated automatically each
time the ignition is switched back on or from 30 mph (50 km/h).
) Press the button.
This warnin
g lamp and the indicator
lamp in the button come on: the DSC
system no longer acts on the operation of the engine.
)
Press the button again to
reactivate it manually. But it is recommended that the s
ystem be

Uncoil the white pipe G
fully.)
Unscrew the cap from the white pipe.)
Connect the white pipe to the valve of the
tyre to be repaired.
)Connect the compressor's electric plug to
the vehicle's 12 V socket. )Star t the vehicle and leave the engine running.
Take care, this product is harmful(e.g. ethylene-glycol, colophony...) if swallowed and causes irritation to the eyes. Keep it out of reach of children.

Do not star t the compressor before connecting the white pipe to the tyre valve: the sealant product would be expelled through the pipe.

Avoid removing any foreign bodieswhich have penetrated into the tyre.

Beware of discharges of fluid.
The expiry date of the fluid is indicated on the car tridge. The sealant car tridge is designed for
single use; even if only partly used, it must be replaced. After use, do not discard the car tridgeinto the environment, take it to an authorised waste disposal site or a CITROËN dealer.
Do not forget to obtain a new sealantcartridge, available from CITROËN dealers or from a qualified workshop.

Checking tyre pressures/
inflating accessories
You can also use the compressor, withoutinjecting any product, to:
- check or adjust the pressure of your tyres,
- inflate other accessories (balls, bicycle
tyres...).
)
Turn the selector Ato the "Air"
position.

Practical information
We recommend the use of genuine
CITROËN towbars and their harnesses that have been tested and approvedfrom the design stage of your vehicle, and that the fitting of the towbar is
entrusted to a CITROËN dealer or aqualified workshop.
If the towbar is not fitted by a CITROËN dealer, it is imperative that it isfitted in accordance with the vehiclemanufacturer's instructions.
Driving advice
Distribution of loads
)
Distribute the load in the trailer so that the
heaviest items are as close as possible to
the axle and the nose wei
ght approaches the
maximum permitted without exceeding it.
Air density decreases with altitude,
thus reducing engine performance.
Above 1 000 metres, the maximum towed
load must be reduced by 10 % for every1 000 metres of altitude.
Refer to the "Technical Data" section for details
of the weights and towed loads which apply toyour vehicle.
Side wind
)
Take into account the increased sensitivityto side wind.

Cooling
To w i ng a trailer on a slope increases the
temperature of the coolant.
As the fan is electricall
y controlled, its cooling capacity is not dependent on the engine speed. )
To lower the engine speed, reduce your
speed.
)If the warning lamp and the
STOP
warning lamp come on,
stop the vehicle and switch off
the en
gine as soon as possible.

Braking

To w i ng a trailer increases the braking distance.
To avoid overheating of the brakes on a long
mountain type of descent, the use of engine
braking is recommended.

Tyres
)
Check the tyre pressures of the towing
vehicle and of the trailer, obser ving the
recommended pressures.

Lighting
)
Check the electrical lighting and signalling on the trailer.

The rear parking sensors will be deactivated automatically if a genuineCITROËN towbar is used.

Driving with a trailer places greater demands on the towing vehicle and the driver must take par ticular care. The maximum towed load on a lon
g incline
depends on the gradient and the ambienttemperature.
In all cases, keep a check on the coolant
temperature.
