1. hEaDlamp controls –
: turns the headlamps off.
: turns on parking, instrument panel, license plate and tail lamps.
: turns on low beam headlamps.
:
autolamps (if equipped) automatically turns the exterior lamps on/off based on
available daylight.
: turns on fog lamps (if equipped) by pulling the control towards you.
2. multi-function lEVEr – rotate the end of the control up/down to increase/decrease the
speed of the wipers.
push the end of the stalk:
• quickly for a single swipe without fluid.
• and hold briefly for three swipes with washer fluid.
• and hold for a longer wash cycle. To operate your rear window wiper, turn the rear wiper control to 1 (intermittent speed),
2 (normal speed) or
o (off). for a rear wash cycle, rotate and hold the rear wiper control to
either
position.
Note: for optimal wiper performance, clean your blades and glass regularly. refer to your
owner’s Guide for more information.
3. panEl DimmEr control – rotate the control up or down to adjust the brightness of the
instrument panel when the headlamps and parking lamps are on. rotate to the full upright
position, past the detent to turn on the interior lights. rotate down past the detent to keep the
interior lights from illuminating when the doors are opened.
4. stEErinG whEEl controls – to set the speed:
1. press on.
2. accelerate to the desired speed.
3. press sEt + and take your foot off the accelerator.
instrumEnt panEl• To set a higher speed, press and hold SET + or press SET + repeatedly until the desired
speed is reached.
• To set a lower speed, press and hold SET – or press SET – repeatedly until the desired speed
is reached.
• To return to a previously set speed, press RES.
• To turn off, depress the brake pedal or press OFF.
VOL +/- : press to increase/decrease volume levels.
: press to access the previous/next radio station, cD track or preset satellite radio channel.
MEDIA: press repeatedly to access all possible media sources.
: press to access voice recognition, if equipped.
: press to access sYnc® phone features, if equipped.
5. sErVicE EnGinE soon liGht –
the service engine soon light illuminates briefly when the
ignition is turned on. if it remains on or is blinking after the engine is started, the on Board
Diagnostics system (oBD-ii) has detected a malfunction. Drive in a moderate fashion and contact
your authorized dealer as soon as possible.
6. mEssaGE cEntEr – (if equipped) the message center, displays important information through
a constant monitoring of vehicle systems. the system will also notify you of potential vehicle
problems with a display of system warnings followed by a long indicator chime. for more
information, please refer to your owner’s Guide.
7. hazarD flashEr
8. aBs warninG liGht – the aBs light
illuminates briefly when the ignition is turned on.
if the aBs light remains on or continues to flash, a malfunction has been detected. contact your
authorized dealer as soon as possible. normal braking (less aBs) is still functional unless the
brake warning light
is also illuminated.
9. aDV ancEtrac
® with roll sta Bilit Y c ontrol™ ( rsc®) sta Bilit Y Enhanc Em Ent s Yst Em –
advancetrac® helps you maintain stability and steerability of your vehicle during a variety of
road conditions. if your vehicle becomes stuck in the snow, mud or sand, try turning off the
advancetrac
® system to allow wheel spin and help increase momentum to dig the vehicle
out. the system defaults to on and the control will illuminate when turned off. refer to your
owner’s Guide for safety information and more details.
10. passEnGEr airBaG off – the passenger airbag off indicator light will illuminate when the
passenger’s front airbag is off. for additional information, please see your owner’s Guide for
safety information and more details.
11. actiVE park assist – (if equipped) the active park assist system can detect an available
parallel parking space and automatically steer the vehicle into that space. the system instructs
the driver with visual and/or audible instructions with regard to braking, accelerating and
shifting gears in order to safely park the vehicle. to initiate active park assist, press the auto
p control and follow the system instructions as prompted by the message center. to stop
the parking procedure, grab the steering wheel or press the control again. for complete
information, please refer to active park assist in the Driving chapter of your owner’s Guide.
12. usB port – (if equipped) the usB port allows you to plug in media playing devices, memory
sticks, and also to charge devices if they support this feature. for more information, please refer
to your sYnc
® supplement or the sYnc® section in your navigation supplement (if equipped). 13.
auxiliarY input Jack – the auxiliary input jack provides a way to connect your portable
music player to the in-vehicle audio system. this allows the audio from a portable music
player to be played through the vehicle speakers. for more information, please see your
owner’s Guide.
rEVErsE sEnsinG – (if equipped) the reverse sensing system may warn you if there is an object
behind the vehicle. the system will sound a warning tone that increases in frequency as the
object gets closer and will sound continuously when the object is less than 10 inches away. the
system is active when the vehicle is in r (reverse) and traveling less than 3 mph (5 km/h). Note:
Visibility aids do not replace the need to watch where the vehicle is moving. refer to your
owner’s Guide for safety information, more details and limitations.
oVErDriVE control/cancEl with GraDE assist – (if equipped) Drive with the vehicle in
overdrive (D) for the best fuel economy. You can deactivate overdrive by pressing the
transmission control switch on the side of the shift handle. Your vehicle is equipped with a
special grade assist feature which is automatically activated when overdrive is turned off. Grade
assist helps to provide optimal gear selection and additional engine braking on hilly terrain. it
is recommended that you return to/D (overdrive) once you return to flat terrain. to return to
overdrive, simply press the transmission control switch again.
powEr siDE ViEw mirrors – rotate the control clockwise to adjust the right mirror, and
counterclockwise to adjust the left mirror. then move the control in the direction you wish to
tilt the mirror. return to the center position to lock the mirror in place.
four-whEEl DriVE (4wD) sYstEm – (if equipped) Your vehicle may be equipped with an
intelligent 4wD system that continuously monitors vehicle conditions and automatically adjusts
the power distribution between the front and rear wheels. the 4wD system is always active,
requires no input and is capable of handling many road conditions, including street and highway
driving as well as off-road and winter driving.
in-Dash cD/mp3 raDio
a. on/off/Vol – press to turn on or off.
turn to increase or decrease the volume.
B. DirEct – press DirEct and then, using the
memory presets (0-9), enter in the numbers
of the desired station, track, mp3 folder (if
available) or satellite channel (if activated).

D. scan – press for a brief sampling of radio
stations or cD/mp3 tracks. press again to stop.
E. am/fm – press repeatedly to select am,
fm1 or fm2 frequency band.
f. cD – press to enter cD/mp3 mode. if a disc
is already loaded into the system, cD/mp3
play will begin where it ended last.
G. sEEk/track – press to access the
previous/next strong radio station, satellite
channel (if equipped) or cD track.
h. aux – press repeatedly to access linE
(auxiliary audio mode) or sYnc
® (if equipped).
i. sirius – press repeatedly to cycle through
sat1, sat2 and sat3 modes (satellite radio,
if equipped). sirius

various menu options such as: autoprEsE t,

(if satellite radio is active). when satEllit E
ra Dio m Enu appears in the display, press ok
and then press p/q to cycle through additional

k. sounD – press repeatedly to access
settings for: Bass, treble, fade, Balance,
speed compensated volume (if equipped)
and all sEats (occupancy mode, if equipped).when the desired selection appears in the
display, press it sEEk/track ui to
make adjustments.
l. clock – press to set the time. the
display will read sEt timE. use the memory
presets (0-9) to enter in the desired time,
hours and minutes. the clock will then start
from that time.
m. tunE/ok – in radio mode, turn to go
up/down the frequency band in individual
increments. if your vehicle is equipped with
sYnc
® and/or satellite radio, you may need to
press ok to confirm menu selections.
n . EJE ct – p ress to eject a cD from the system.

Dual automatic tEmpEraturE control
with hEatED sEats (if EQuippED)
a. auto/DriVEr tEmpEraturE – press to
activate/deactivate full automatic operation.
the system will automatically determine fan
speed, airflow distribution, a/c on or off and
either outside or recirculated air to heat or
cool the vehicle to reach the desired temperature.
turn to increase/decrease the temperature
on the driver side of the vehicle. Note: this
control will also determine the temperature
for the entire vehicle cabin when the
passenger temperature control (pass tEmp)
is not engaged.
B. floor anD DEfrost
– Distributes
air through the windshield defroster vents,
demister vents, floor vents and rear seat
floor vents.
c. DEfrost – Distributes outside air
through the windshield defroster vents and
demister vents. can be used to clear the
windshield of fog and thin ice.
D. DriVEr hEatED sEat
– press to activate
or deactivate the driver heated seat.
E. rEar DEfrostEr
– press to clear the
rear window of thin ice and fog. press again
to deactivate. the rear window defroster will
turn off automatically after a predetermined
amount of time, if a low battery condition is
detected, or when the ignition is turned off
or to the accessory position.
f. a/c – press to activate/deactivate air
conditioning. use with recirculated air
to
improve cooling performance and efficiency. G.
max a/c – press to distribute recirculated
air through the instrument panel vents to cool
the vehicle. this mode is more economical
and efficient. press again to return to normal
a/c operation.
h. rEcirculatED air
– press to
activate/deactivate air circulatiosee
loofereithern inside the vehicle cabin.
recirculated air may reduce
the amount of time needed to cool down
the vehicle and may also help reduce
undesirable odors from entering the vehicle.
recirculated air engages automatically when
max a/c is selected.
i. powEr
anD fan – press to turn
the system on/off. turn the control to
increase/decrease the fan speed.
J. pan El , pan El an D floor ,
f loor – press the desired control for
airflow to be directed through the
(instrument panel vents), (instrument
panel vents, demister vents, floor vents and
rear seat floor vents) or the
(demister
vents, floor vents and rear seat floor vents).
k. passEnGEr hEatED sEat – press to
activate or deactivate the passenger
heated seat.
l. pass tEmp – press to activate passenger
side temperature control. turn the control
to decrease/increase the temperature setting
for the passenger side of the vehicle. press
again to deactivate (the driver side settings
will then determine the temperature for the
entire vehicle cabin).
