Remove spring assembly and Special Tool 204-111 from
suspension turret.
11. Lower vehicle to working heig ht and support on stands.

sensor from vertical link.
14. Remove nut securing tie rod oute r ball joint to steering arm.

Release tie rod ball joint from vertical link.
1. Install special tool 211-098 on tie rod ball joint.
2. Tighten tool bolt to rele ase taper pin from vertical
link.

Remove nut securing upper wish bone ball joint to vertical
link.

CAUTION: Do not use special tool 211-098 in the
following procedure as this will damage the ball joint gaiter.
Release upper wishbone ball joint from vertical link/hub
assembly.
1. Install special tool 204-192 on ball joint.
2. Tighten tool bolt to rele ase ball joint taper pin from
vertical link.

Slacken but do not remove nut securing lower wishbone ball
joint to vertical link.

ON: Do not use special tool 211-098 in the
following procedure as this will damage the ball joint gaiter.
Release lower wishbone ball joint from vertical link/hub
assembly. 1. Install special tool 204-293 on ball joint.
2. Tighten tool bolt to rele ase ball joint taper pin from
vertical link.

CAUTI
ON: The wishbone front and rear arm bushes differ in length.
Ensure the correct bush is installed in each arm.
1.
Position arm on suitable supports on press bed.
2. Position Special Tool 204-214 on top of bush.
3. Operate press to remove bush from arm.

• NOTE: Initial press action will cause tool to sh ear bush flange.
Using a hydraulic press, remove bush from rear wishbone arm.
1. Position arm on suitable supports on press bed.
2. Position special tool on top of bush.
3. Operate press to remove bush from arm.

TE: On vehicles fitted with an engine oil cooler, it may be
necessary to release the stabilizer bar from each ball joint in turn
to achieve the required cl earance from cooler pipes.
Remove stabilizer bar from crossbeam.

9. Remove mounting brackets and rubbers from stabilizer bar.

nstallation
1.
CAUTI
ON: Make sure the Ca
strol NTR grease is only
applied to the inner surface of the mounting bushes. Failure to
follow this instruction may affect the retention of the bushes in
the retaining brackets.
Apply a thin film of Castrol NTR grease to the inner surface of
the bushes.
2. Install
mounting rubbers on stabilizer bar.
3. N
OTE: Ensure mounti
ng rubbers seat correctly between
flanges.
Install and fully seat mounti ng brackets on rubbers.
4. Position stabil
izer bar assembly
on link arms and install but do
not tighten ball joint securing nuts.
5. Install stabilizer bar mounting bolts.
