■Front
XVehicles with halogen headlights
You may replace the following bulbs by yourself. The difficulty level of replace-
ment varies depending on the bulb. As there is a danger that components may
be damaged, we recommend that replacement is carried out by any autho-
rized Lexus dealer or repairer, or an other duly qualified and equipped profes-
sional.

Maintenance and care
Replace the light bulb, and install
the bulb base.
Align the 3 tabs on the light bulb with
the mounting, and insert.
Turn and secure the bulb base.
Shake the bulb base gently to check
that it is not loose, turn the headlight
high beams on once and visually
confirm that no light is leaking
through the mounting.
When installing the cover, conduct step in reverse.
■Halogen front fog light (if equipped) Remove 2 screws, a bolt and clip,
and pull down the fender liner.
Pull the fender liner down slowly,
being careful not to dislodge any
fixed components.

Unplug the connector while
pressing the lock release.
Turn the bulb base counterclock-
wise.
Set the new light bulb.
Align the 3 tabs on the light bulb with
the mounting, and insert. Turn it
clockwise to set.
Set the connector.
After installing the connector, shake
the bulb base gently to check that it is
not loose, turn the fog lights on once
and visually confirm that no light is
leaking through the mounting.

■Rear turn signal lights Open the back door and remove
the covers and bolts, and remove
the lamp assembly by pulling it
directly backward from the rear
of the vehicle.
Use a flathead screwdriver wrapped
in a cloth.
Turn the bulb base counterclock-
wise.
Remove the light bulb.
When installing, reverse the steps listed.
■Back-up light/rear fog lightOpen the back door and remove
the cover.

■Replacing the following bulbs
If any of the lights listed below has burnt out, have it replaced by any autho-
rized Lexus dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified and equipped profes-
sional.
●Headlight low beams (LED type)
●Daytime running lights and front position lights
●LED front fog lights (if equipped)
●Side turn signal lights
●Stop/tail lights
●High mounted stoplight
●License plate lights
■After replacing the bulbs
■LED lights
The headlight low beams (LED type), front position lights, daytime running lights, LED
front fog lights (if equipped), side turn signal lights, stop/tail lights, high mounted stoplight
and license plate lights consist of a number of LEDs. If any of the LEDs burn out, take
your vehicle to any authorized Lexus dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified and
equipped professional to have the light replaced.
■Condensation build-up on the inside of the lens
Temporary condensation build-up on the inside of the headlight lens does not indicate a
malfunction. Contact any authorized Lexus dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified
and equipped professional for more information in the following situations:
●Large drops of water have built up on the inside of the lens.
●Water has built up inside the headlight.
