If y our MP3-CD contains several albums,
you can select the album y ou w ant as
follow s:

The folder lab els with < and > nex t to
a folder icon ap pear on the disp lay.
Pre ss the appropriate button 6
loca ted below the fold er label you wish
to se lect.
By sele cting the < folder label, the
Infotainme nt sy ste m goe s b ack to the
first track in the prev ious folder.
By sele cting the > folder label, the
Infotainme nt sy ste m goe s to the first
tra ck in the ne xt folde r.
Whe n the first trac k in the p re vious/
ne xt folde r starts to play , and the
re lev ant track information (a lb um
na me, track name or artis t name)
appea rs on the displa y.
zAll the folders which do not contain

The Infotainm ent system c an play discs
containing both uncompressed CD audio
file s (w ith “. CDA” file exte nsion) and
compres s ed a udio file s (MP3 files ).
By d efault, the s ys tem reads and play s only
the uncompres s ed a udio file s and ignore s
the MP3 files .
To switch be twee n uncompres s ed a nd
compres s ed file s, procee d as follow s;
Press the CAT 9 cate gory button.
The Infotainment s yste m will only read
and p lay the previous ly ignored file s.MP3-CD m usic navig ator
Us e the mus ic navigator fe ature to play
MP3 file s on the dis c in order by artis t or b y
album, as follows ;
You are listening to an MP3-C D.
Pre s s the appropriate button 6
located below the music navigator
label B on the display.
T he I nf o t a i n m en t sy st e m s c a n s t h e d i sc
to sort the file s by artist and album ID3
tag inform ation.
zIt can take se veral m inute s to scan the
disc depe nding on the num ber of MP3
file s recorde d on the d isc. The radio
may begin to p lay while the

disc in the bac kground.
Wh e n t h e s ca n i s f i ni s h ed, t h e di s c
beg ins play ing again and the sy ste m
defaults to playing M P3 files in orde r
by a rtis t.
The current artis t playing is s hown on
the second line of the display be twee n
the arrows.
Once all s ong s b y that artis t are
played, the Infotainment system
move s to the nex t artist in a lp ha betical
order on the disc and be gins play ing
MP3 file s by that artis t.

The disc goes to the next/previous

the de sire d artist appe ars on the
display .

From the sort screen, press the

locate d be low the ‘Bac k’ la bel to return
to the main music navigator scree n.
The album name appe ars on the
display - on the second line between
the arrow s - and tracks from the
current album beg in to play.
zO nce all tra cks from tha t album are
p l a y ed, t h e In f o t a i n m en t s ys t em
mov es to the ne xt album in
alphabe tical orde r on the dis c and
be gins playing MP3 files from that
album.

‘Back’ label to return to norma l MP3
playback .
Random m ode
If you use this func tion, the CD/MP3 play er
will play back the tracks of the curre nt d is c
in ra nd om order.Si ngle CD
To play the track s from a s ingle CD in
random order, proceed as follows;
Press the CD / AUX a button to e nte r
CD m od e.

In se r t th e C D (lab el sid e u p) p ar t o f the
way into the CD slot i.
The de vice pulls the CDs in
autom atically.
zThe mov eme nt of the C D must not be
hindered or aided .
An ‘ RDM’ labe l ap pears on the d is play .

A bee p s ounds and “Load All Dis cs ”

Follow the on-s cree n instructions for
ins erting m ultiple dis cs, ins e rting the
CDs labe l side up pa rt of the way into
the CD slot i.
The device pulls the CDs in
autom atic ally.
zThe move me nt of the CD must not be
hinde red or aided.
Pr e ss t h e LO A D 1 button again to
cancel loading of m ore C Ds.
An ‘RD M ’ label app ears on th e dis play.
Pre ss the appropriate button 6
loca ted b elow the RDM labe l until
“Randomize All Dis cs ” appe ars on the
display .
The tracks of all dis cs loaded in the

Press the EJ EC T 0 button.
A beep sounds and “Ejecting Disc”

Once the disc is ejected, “Remove
Disc” appea rs on the disp la y.
Rem ov e the disc from the p la yer.
zIf the disc is not re move d, after seve ral
se conds it is a utoma tica lly retracte d
and be gins to p la y.

With the six -disc CD play er 3, press
and hold the EJECT 0 button for two
se c o n d s.

CD m essage s
The me ss age ‘C HEC K DISC ’ a ppears on the
dis play if a problem occurs and the
CD playe r does not operate correctly .
If this mes s age appe ars or if the CD is
e je cted automatically, it could be for one of
the following rea sons:
– The CD is d irty , scratched, wet, or
up side down.
– The air is very humid.
If so, wait app rox . one hour and try
again.
– There ma y have been a prob lem while
burning the CD.
– The label may be caught in the
CD play er.
–It is very hot.
Whe n the te mperature returns to
normal, the CD should play.
– You are driving on a v ery rough road.
When the road surfa ce becomes
smoother, the C D should play .
If the CD is not playing corre ctly, for any
other reason, try a known good C D.
If any e rror occ urs repe ated ly or if an e rror
cannot be corre cted , we recom mend that
you consult a n Opel Service Partner.
If the radio displays an e rror m essag e,
write it down and provide it to your retaile r
when re porting the proble m.Usi ng the auxi liary input ja ck
Your Infotainment sy stem has an auxiliary
input jack b locate d on the lowe r right
side of the E ntertainment He ad Unit (E HU).
This is not an audio outp ut;
D o no t p l ug he a d p h o n es i n t o t h e
auxiliary input jack b.
You can howev er, connect an external
audio de vice such as a laptop compute r 3,
MP3 p layer 3, CD changer 3, or c assette
playe r 3, to the aux iliary input jack b for
us e as anothe r audio s ource .
To us e a portable audio playe r, connect a
3.5 m m phone p lug to the auxiliary inp ut
ja c k b.When a devic e is connected, to begin
play ing audio from the dev ice throug h the
vehicle’s spea kers, proceed as follows;
You are listening to a CD/MP3.
Press the CD / AUX a button.
Audio from the external audio device
conne cted starts to play .
zIf a portable audio play er is not
connected, “No I nput Device Found”
appe ars on the dis play.
zIf the v olume of the conne cted
portable aud io playe r does not go as
loud or soft as you w ish using the
Xek nob (s e e pa ge 8 1 ), you ma y
nee d to mak e ad ditional v olume
adjustme nts on the portable aud io
playe r itse lf.
To s witch back to the C D/MP3 you we re
play ing , pre ss the CD/AUX a button
aga in.
To s witch to radio mode while a portable
audio dev ic e is playing, pre ss the BAN D h
button.
zThe portable audio device continues to
play, so you may w ish to stop it or turn
it off.
