Maintain the pressure for rapid
scrolling.
A f t e r 7 s e c o n d s w i t h o u t o p e r a t i o n ,
the screen returns to the normal
d i s p l a y a n d t h e m o d i i e d d a t a i s

Automatic operation
Automatic changing of the four
gears:
F select position D in the gate.
T h e g e a r b o x a l w a y s s e l e c t s t h e m o s t
s u i t a b l e g e a r a c c o r d i n g t o t h e f o l l o w -
ing parameters:
- t h e r o a d p r o i l e ,
- the vehicle load.
The gearbox is then operating in
a u t o - a d a p t i v e m o d e , w i t h o u t a n y a c -
tion on your part. If you take your foot off the accel-
e r a t o r s u d d e n l y , t h e g e a r b o x w i l l n o t
change to a higher gear for reasons
of safety.
Manual operation
Manual
changing of the four gears:
F select position M i n t h e g a t e ,
F push the lever to the + sign to
c h a n g e t o a h i g h e r g e a r ,
F pull the lever to the - sign to
c h a n g e t o a l o w e r g e a r .
You can change from position D
(driving in automatic mode) to posi-
tion M (driving in manual mode) at
any time.
WARNING
Never select position N w h e n t h e
vehicle is moving.
Never select positions P or R unless
the vehicle is stationary.
N e v e r c h a n g e b e t w e e n p o s i t i o n s t o
optimise braking on a slippery sur-
face.
Notes
For immediate maximum accelera-
t i o n w i t h o u t t o u c h i n g t h e g e a r l e v e r ,
p r e s s t h e a c c e l e r a t o r p e d a l d o w n a s
f a r a s i t w i l l g o ( k i c k d o w n ) . T h e g e a r -
b o x w i l l a u t o m a t i c a l l y c h a n g e d o w n
or maintain the gear selected until
maximum engine speed is reached.
W h e n t h e b r a k e i s a p p l i e d , t h e g e a r -
b o x w i l l a u t o m a t i c a l l y c h a n g e d o w n
i n o r d e r t o p r o v i d e e f i c i e n t e n g i n e
braking. Sport and snow programmes
In addition to the auto-adaptive
p r o g r a m m e , t h e r e a r e t w o s p e c i a l
programmes.
The programme is displayed on the
instrument panel screen.
Sport programme
F
Press button S once the engine
has been started.
The gearbox automatically favours
sporty driving and more dynamic
acceleration.
Snow programme
This programme improves starting
a n d d r i v e w h e n t r a c t i o n i s p o o r .
F Press button T once the engine
has been started.
The gearbox adapts to driving on
slippery roads.
Note: you can return to the auto-
adaptive programme at any time.
F Press button S or T again to
s w i t c h o f f t h e p r o g r a m m e y o u
are in. Notes
It is only possible to change from one
gear to another if the vehicle speed
and engine speed permit. If they do
n o t , t h e v e h i c l e w i l l o p e r a t e t e m p o
-
rarily in automatic mode.
When the vehicle is stationary or
m o v i n g v e r y s l o w l y , t h e g e a r b o x
automatically selects gear M1.
Programmes S (sport) and T ( s n o w )
do not operate in manual mode.
