VISUAL AND AUDIBLE FRONT AND/OR REAR PARKING ASSISTANCE
System consisting of four proximity sen-
sors, installed in the front and/or rear
bumper.
It detects any obstacle (person, vehicle,
tree, barrier...) located behind the vehi-
cle, however, it will not be able to detect
obstacles located immediately below
the bumper. The parking assistance is
switched on :
- by engaging reverse gear,
- at a speed below 6 mph (10 km/h) in forward gear.
This is accompanied by an audible sig-
nal and/or displaying of the vehicle on
the multifunction screen.
An object, such as a stake, a
roadworks cone or any other
similar object may be detected
at the start of the manoeuvre but may
no longer be detected when the vehi-
cle moves nearer to it. The proximity information is indicated by:
- an audible signal which becomes
more rapid as the vehicle approach-
es the obstacle,
- a diagram on the multifunction screen, with blocks which move
closer to the vehicle.
The obstacle is located in relation to the
emission of the audible signal by the
speakers; front or rear and right or left.
When the distance between the vehicle
and the obstacle is less than approxi-
mately thirty centimetres, the audible
signal becomes continuous and/or the
"Danger" symbol appears, depending
on the multifunction screen version.

Parking the vehicle

Apply the parking brake unless it
has been programmed to automatic
m o d e , s w i t c h o f f t h e i g n i t i o n a n d e n -
g a g e fi r s t g e a r * t o l o c k t h e w h e e l s .
Check that the braking warning light
and the P warning light on the park-
ing brake lever come on.
I f n e c e s s a r y , p l a c e a c h o c k u n d e r t h e
wheel diagonally opposite the wheel
to be changed.
I t i s i m p e r a t i v e t h a t y o u e n s u r e t h a t
the occupants get out of the vehicle
and wait where they are safe.
Never go underneath a vehicle raised
u s i n g a j a c k ; u s e a n a x l e s t a n d .
Removing the wheel

R e m o v e t h e c h r o m e d b o l t c o v e r f r o m
each of the bolts using the tool 3 .
Fit the anti-theft socket 5 on the
wheelbrace 1 to unlock the anti-theft
bolt.
Unlock the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 only.
Place the jack 2 in contact with one
of the two front A or rear B locations
p r o v i d e d o n t h e u n d e r f r a m e , w h i c h -
ever is closest to the wheel to be
changed.
E x t e n d t h e j a c k 2 until its base plate
i s i n c o n t a c t w i t h t h e g r o u n d . E n s u r e
that the centreline of the jack base
plate is directly below the location A
or B used.
R a i s e t h e v e h i c l e u n t i l t h e r e i s s u f -
fi c i e n t s p a c e b e t w e e n t h e w h e e l a n d
the ground to admit the spare (not
punctured) wheel easily.
R e m o v e t h e b o l t s a n d s t o r e t h e m i n
a clean place.

After changing a wheel
To store the punctured wheel
i n t h e b o o t c o r r e c t l y , fi r s t r e -
move the central cover.
When using the "space-saving" type
s p a r e w h e e l , d o n o t e x c e e d 5 0 m p h
( 8 0 k m / h ) .
Have the tightening of the bolts and
the pressure of the spare wheel
c h e c k e d b y a P E U G E O T d e a l e r w i t h -
out delay.
Have the punctured wheel repaired
and replace it on the vehicle as soon
as possible.
Fitting the wheel

Put the wheel in place on the hub
using the centring guide 4 .
Screw in the bolts by hand to the
stop.
Pre-tighten the anti-theft bolt using
the wheelbrace 1 fi t t e d w i t h t h e a n t i -
theft socket 5 .
Pre-tighten the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 only.
Lower the vehicle fully.
Fold the jack 2 and detach it.
Lock the anti-theft bolt using the
wheelbrace 1 fi t t e d w i t h t h e a n t i -
theft socket 5 .
Lock the other bolts using the wheel-
brace 1 only.
