This is the average quantity of fuel con-
sumed during the last few seconds.
This shows the distance that can still
be covered with the fuel remaining in
the tank in accordance with the ave-
rage consumption over the last few
miles (kilometres).
Distance remaining to be travelled (miles or km)
Average speed (mphor km/h)
TRIP menu
Press the
"MENU" button for access
to the main menu.
Select the "Trip computer" or "Ve-
hicle diagnostics" application using
the navigator, then confi rm or press
the "MODE" button until you gain ac-
cess to the trip computer screen, then
confi rm "OK" .
The "Trip computer" or "Vehicle diag-
nostics" menu offers various options:
- Alerts log,
- Status of the functions,
- Inputting the distance to be tra- velled.
Average fuel consumption(l/100 or km/l or mpg)
Distance travelled (miles or km)
Alerts log
This summarises the active warning
messages, displaying them on the
multifunction screen in succession.
Status of the functions
This summarises the active or inactive
status of the functions present on the
vehicle.
Distance remaining (miles or km)
When guidance is not activated, this
enables you to enter an approximate
distance to be travelled.
This fi gure may increase if
there is a change in the style
of driving or the road surface,
producing a signifi cant drop in
current fuel consumption.
When the range is less than 20 miles
(30 km), four bars are displayed. After
fi lling with fuel, the range is displayed
when it exceeds 62 miles (100 km).
If horizontal bars are displayed
for long periods instead of di-
gits, contact a dealer.
This function is displayed only
when the vehicle is travel-
ling at a speed greater than
20 mph (30 km/h). This is the distance remaining to the
destination, either calculated at any
time by the navigation system if gui-
dance is activated or entered by the
user, minus the distance covered since
the distance was entered.
If digits are missing, dashes are dis-
played in their place.
This is the average fuel consumption
since the computer was last set to
zero.
This indicates the distance travelled
since the computer was last set to
zero.
Access via the main menu
This is the average speed calculated
since the computer was last set to
zero (with the ignition on).

Display
This menu allows you to set the bright-
ness of the display, the display colour
scheme and the colour of the map
(day/night and auto mode).
Vehicle
This menu permits the activation or
deactivation of certain driving and
comfort systems:
- air conditioning (A/C),
- vehicle information,
- access to the vehicle,
- driving assistance,
- lighting confi guration,
- comfort lighting.
Units
This menu permits selection of the
units: temperature (°C or °F) and fuel
consumption (km/l, l/100, miles and
mpg).
System
This menu permits restoring of the fac-
tory confi guration, display of the soft-
ware version and activation of scrolling
text. For safety reasons, confi gu-
ration of the multifunction
screen by the driver must only
be done when stationary. COLOUR SCREEN (WITH PEUGEOT CONNECT NAVIGATION) "SETUP" menu
Press the SETUP button to gain access
to the "SETUP" menu. This provides
access to the following functions:
- System language,
- Date & Time,
- Display,
- Vehicle,
- Units,
- System.
System language
This menu allows you to select
the language used by the display:
German, English, Spanish, French,
Italian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese.
Date & Time
This menu allows you to set the date
and time, the format of the date and
the format of the time (refer to the
"Audio and Telematics" section).
This displays the following information:
- time,
- date,
- ambient temperature (the value dis-
played fl ashes if there is a risk of ice),
- check of openings,
- vehicle function status messages, displayed temporarily,
- warning messages,
- audio functions,
- trip computer information,
- air conditioning settings,
- satellite navigation system information.

HIGH DEFINITION COLOUR SCREEN (WITH PEUGEOT CONNECT MEDIA)
This displays the following information:
- time,
- date,
- ambient temperature (the value dis-played fl ashes if there is a risk of
ice),
- check of openings,
- vehicle function status messages, displayed temporarily,
- warning messages,
- audio functions,
- trip computer information,
- air conditioning settings,
- satellite navigation system information.
Main menu Display confi guration
Press the "MENU" button to gain ac-
cess to the main menu and select one
of the following functions: Navigation-
Guidance, Map, Traffi c Information,
Audio Functions, Telematics, Confi gu-
ration, Video, Vehicle Diagnostics and
Air Conditioning. - Choose colour,
- Adjust brightness,
- Adjust date and time,
- Choose units.
Defi ne the vehicle parameters
Permits the activation or deactivation
of certain driving and comfort ele-
ments:
- permanent locking of the boot on
the 407 Saloon,
- automatic illumination of headlamps,
- automatic "guide-me-home" lighting,
- automatic rear wiping on engaging reverse gear on the 407SW.
The "Confi guration" menu provides
access to the following functions:
- Display confi guration,
- Sound,
- Choice of language,
- Defi ne the vehicle parameters.
You can connect video equipment
(camcorder, digital camera, ...) to the
three video sockets, located in the
glove box.
Video display is only possible when
stationary.
Select the Video menu from the gen-
eral menu:
- "Activate video mode" to activate/deactivate the video,
- "Video parameters" to set the dis- play format, the brightness, the con-
trast and the colours.
Press the "ESC" or "DARK" button to
exit from video mode.
Press the "SOURCE" button several
times in succession to select an audio

parts are offered by the dealer net-
work.
They all benefi t from PEUGEOT rec-
ommendation.
These accessories and parts, having
been tested and approved for reliabil-
ity and safety, are all adapted to your
PEUGEOT vehicle.
The product range offered by PEU-
GEOT Accessories is structured
around 5 categories: PROTECTION -
TOURING - IN-CAR TECHNOLOGY -
STYLING - UNIVERSAL. Anti-theft alarm, parking sen-
sors, etched windows, wheel
security bolts, fi rst aid kit,
warning triangle, high vis-
ibility safety jacket, snow
chains, anti-slip covers, dog
guard, etc.

"Protection": Seat covers compatible with
lateral airbags, mats, boot
tray.
For leisure pursuits: roof
bars, transport accessories
(bicycle carrier, ski carrier),
roof box, child seats and booster cush-
ions, rear screen blind, audio/tele-
phone console, side blinds, cool box.
Trailer towbar which must be fi tted by
the PEUGEOT Network.

Windscreen wash fl uid, inte-
rior and exterior cleaning and
maintenance products.

"Universal":
The fi tting of electrical equipment
or accessories which are not rec-
ommended by PEUGEOT may
result in a failure of your vehicle's
electronic system.
Please note this specifi c warning. You
are advised to contact a representa-
tive of the Marque to be shown the
range of recommended equipment
and accessories.

Note
To avoid any jamming under the pedals:
- ensure that the mat is positioned and secured correctly,
- never place one mat on top of an- other.
Depending on the country in
which the vehicle is sold, it
may be compulsory to have
a high visibility safety jacket,
warning triangle and spare
bulbs available in the vehicle.
Installation of radiocommunication
transmitters
It is advisable to contact a representa-
tive of the PEUGEOT marque before
installing accessory radiocommunica-
tion transmitters with external aerial
on your vehicle. The PEUGEOT network will inform
you of the specifi cations (frequency
waveband, maximum output power,
aerial position, specifi c installation
conditions) of the transmitters which
can be fi tted, in accordance with the
Motor Vehicle Electromagnetic Com-
patibility Directive (2004/104/EC).

407SW: you can obtain "Van" conver-
sion kits to convert from a private ve-
hicle to a van.

This displays the following information, via the audio control panel: - time, - date, - ambient temperature (if there is a risk of ice, you are warned by a message), - audio source displays (radio, CD, jukebox, ... ), - telematic system displays (telephone, services , ...), - check of openings (doors, boot, ...), - warning messages (e.g.: "Fuel level low") and vehicle function status messages (e.g.: "Auto lighting activated") displaye d temporarily, - trip computer information, - GPS (Europe) satellite navigation system information.
The system uses the complete and detailed NAVTEQ m aps installed directly on the equipment's hard disk. Updates of the maps of the UK and of the other Euro pean countries, offered by our partner NAVTEQ, are available from the PEUGEOT network.

CONFIGURING THE FILTERING OF TMC
ANNOUNCEMENTS
The TMC (Traffi c Message Channel) messages provide information relating to the traffi c and the weather conditions, received in real time and communicated to the driver in the form of audible announcements and icons on the navigation map. The guidance system may then suggest a diversion r oute.
Press the MENU button.
Turn the dial and select the TRAFFIC INFORMATION function.
Press the dial to confi rm the selection.
FILTER TRAFFIC INFORMATION
Turn the dial and select the FILTER TRAFFIC INFORMATION function.
TRAFFIC INFORMATION
Press the dial to confi rm the selection.
Select the GEOGRAPHIC FILTER function and press the dial to confi rm.
Turn the dial and select the fi lter of your choice.
Select OK and press the dial to confi rm.

The fi lters are independent and their results are eliminated. We recommend: - a fi lter of 6 miles (10 km) around the vehicle in heavy traffi c, - a fi lter of 30 miles (50 km) around the vehicl e or a fi lter on the route for motorway journeys.
