stems of the head restraint in the holes

a t t h e s a m e t i m e .
Head restraint height adjustment
Never drive with the removed
head restraints in the vehicle as
they could be thrown around the
v e h i c l e o n s h a r p b r a k i n g . T h e y m u s t
b e i n p l a c e a n d a d j u s t e d c o r r e c t l y .
After installing the head restraint,
check that the height adjustment but-
t o n i s l o c k e d c o r r e c t l y .
The adjustment is correct when the
t o p o f t h e h e a d r e s t r a i n t i s a l i g n e d
w i t h t h e t o p o f t h e h e a d o f t h e s e a t e d
p e r s o n .

DOOR MIRRORS
Adjustment
The mirrors can be adjusted when the
ignition switch is in the "ON" or "ACC"
p o s i t i o n .
Move control A to the right or to the left
t o s e l e c t t h e c o r r e s p o n d i n g m i r r o r .
Direct control B in all four directions
t o a d j u s t t h e m i r r o r .
W h e n a d j u s t m e n t i s c o m p l e t e , r e t u r n
control A t o t h e c e n t r a l p o s i t i o n . Electric folding/unfolding
- from inside, with the ignition switch
i n t h e " O N " o r " A C C " p o s i t i o n :

The folding and unfolding of the door
m i r r o r s c a n b e c o n fi g u r e d v i a t h e c o l -

a c t i v a t e d b y a C I T R O Ë N d e a l e r . The mirrors can also be folded
m a n u a l l y .
If you have folded the mirrors us-
ing the control C , you must use this
control to unfold them, otherwise the
m i r r o r s w i l l n o t b e l o c k i n p l a c e c o r -
r e c t l y .
If you switch the engine off then
re-start it with the mirrors folded, they
will unfold automatically when the
v e h i c l e r e a c h e s 2 0 m p h ( 3 0 k m / h ) .
If the mirrors have been folded manu-
ally or electrically after starting the
engine, they are not unfolded auto-
m a t i c a l l y .
In this case:

The vehicle will relock automatically
after thirty seconds unless a door or
the tailgate is opened. This function
prevents inadvertent unlocking.
The duration which precedes the au-
tomatic relocking of the vehicle can
b e c o n fi g u r e d v i a t h e c o l o u r s c r e e n
"Equipment" menu.
Folding the key
First press button A to fold the key. Electronic engine immobiliser
The key contains an electronic chip
which has a special code. When the igni-
tion is switched on, this code must be
recognised to permit starting.
This electronic engine immobiliser locks
the engine management system a few
moments after the ignition is switched
off and prevents starting of the engine
by anyone who does not have the key.
Anti-theft protection
In the event of a malfunction and if
your vehicle does not start; contact a
CITROËN dealer as soon as possible.

Starting the vehicle
Insert the key in the ignition switch.
Operate the starter by turning the
key to position 4 (START) .
When the engine turns over, release
the key. The ignition switch is placed
in position 3 (ON) automatically.
Switching the vehicle off
Park the vehicle.
While pressing the key, turn it to-
wards you to position 1 (LOCK) .
Remove the key from the ignition
switch. Changing the battery
Battery reference: CR1616/3 volts.
Unclip the casing using a coin at the
notch.

Slide the new battery into its housing
observing the original direction.
Clip the casing.
Key in ignition
A buzzer sounds on opening the
driver's door, if the key has been left
in the ignition.

FUEL TANK Opening the cap may cause an inrush
of air. This vacuum, which is completely
normal, is caused by the sealing of the
fuel system.

r e l e a s e t h e f u e l fi l l e r fl a p ,
o p e n t h e f u e l fi l l e r fl a p B ,
t u r n t h e fi l l e r c a p C to the left,
W h e n y o u h a v e fi l l e d t h e t a n k :
r e fi t t h e fi l l e r c a p , i n s e r t i n g t h e u p -
p e r p a r t fi r s t ,
s c r e w i n t h e fi l l e r c a p t o t h e r i g h t ,
c l o s e t h e fl a p .
E n s u r e t h a t t h e f u e l fi l l e r fl a p i s c l o s e d
correctly.
r e m o v e t h e fi l l e r c a p C ,
fi l l t h e t a n k , b u t do not continue af-
ter the 3rd cut-off of the nozzle ;
this could cause malfunctions.
Low fuel level
Filling
A l a b e l , a f fi x e d o n t h e i n s i d e o f t h e fl a p ,
reminds you of the type of fuel to be
used according to your engine.
More than 5 litres of fuel must be added
in order to be registered by the fuel gauge. When the low fuel level is
reached, this indication ap-
pears on the instrument
p a n e l s c r e e n . W h e n i t fi r s t
comes on, approximately
10 litres of fuel remain.
The symbol fl a s h e s s l o w l y (approxi-
mately once per second).
When the symbol begins to
fl a s h r a p i d l y (approximately
twice per second), there is not
much fuel remaining in your tank (ap-
proximately 5 litres).
Y o u m u s t fi l l t h e t a n k t o a v o i d r u n n i n g
out of fuel.
This symbol indicates that the
fuel tank cap is located on the
left-hand side of the vehicle.
Location of the cap
1. Opening.
2. Closing.
Capacity of the tank: approximately
60 litres.
