Reversing camera
The reversing camera is activated automatically when reverse gear is engaged.The reversing camera cannot in any
circumstances be a substitute for the
vigilance of the driver. The image is provided in the touch screen
only, with an indication of the limit of the rear
bumpers (red line) and the general direction of
the vehicle (blue lines).
Clean the reversing camera regularly
using a soft, dry cloth.
The field of vision covered by the camera is
limited: objects in the immediate proximity of
the bumper or located below it are not visible.
The camera's wide-angle lens deforms the
image presented in the screen: the distances
visible in the screen may be different from
the true distances. This deformation varies
according to the loading of the vehicle and the
slope of the road.
High pressure jet washing
When washing your vehicle, do not
direct the lance within 30 cm of the
camera lens. Never reverse the vehicle looking only
at the screen.
Driving

Rear wiperRear screenwash
Wiper off, turn the control stalk towards you to
operate the rear screenwash, accompanied by
several sweeps of the rear wiper.
Windscreen wash
Turn the ring to this position for a
steady wipe.
Pushing the stalk away from you operates the
wash during wiping.
Pull the wiper stalk towards you.
The

windscreen wash, then the windscreen
wipers, operate for a pre-determined time.

ot use the front or rear screenwash
when the screenwash reservoir is
empty. You risk damaging the pump.

For access to the brake fluid reservoir
and the fusebox, unclip the plastic cover
at the base of the windscreen, pressing
on the two tongues.
Refer to the "Changing a fuse" section.

Avoid prolonged contact of used oil or
fluids with the skin.
Most of these fluids are harmful to
health or indeed very corrosive.
Do not discard used oil or fluids into
sewers or onto the ground.
Take used oil to a CITROËN dealer or
a qualified workshop (France) or to an
authorised waste disposal site.
Used products
Fluid specification
For optimum cleaning and to avoid freezing,
this fluid must not be topped up or replaced
with plain water.
In wintry conditions, it is recommended that you
use an ethyl alcohol or methanol based fluid.
Screenwash fluid level
Top up the level when necessary.
Coolant level
The coolant level must be:
- b etween the " FULL" or "F" and
" LOW " or "L" marks for VTi 68
and e-VTi 68 engines,
In addition, as the cooling system is pressurised,
wait at least one hour after switching off the
engine before carrying out any work.
To avoid any risk of scalding, unscrew the cap
by two turns to allow the pressure to drop. When
the pressure has dropped, remove the cap and
top up the level.
Fluid specification
The coolant must conform to the
manufacturer's recommendations. The cooling fan may star t after switching
off the engine: take care with ar ticles and
clothing that might be caught by the fan
blades. -

When the engine is warm, the temperature of
the coolant is regulated by the fan.
