The battery is located under the bonnet.

Access to the battery
Procedure for starting the engine using another battery or charging a discharged battery.

he use of a 12 V lead-acid battery with

he  involvement  of  a  CITROËN  dealer Â

 refitting  the  battery,  the  Stop  &

tart  system  will  only  be  active  after  a

ontinuous  period  of  immobilisation  of  the

ehicle, a period which depends on the
climatic
 conditions  and  the  state  of  charge

f  the  battery  (up  to  about  8  hours).
Before doing any work
Immobilise the vehicle: apply the parking  brake,  put  the  gearbox  in Â

eutral,  then  switch  off  the  ignition.

Changing a wiper blade
F Within one  minute  after  switching  off  t
he  ignition,  operate  the  wiper  stalk  to Â

osition the wiper blades vertically on the
windscreen.
Removing

Checking levels
Take care when working under the bonnet, as certain areas of the engine may be extremely hot (risk of burns) and the cooling fan could start at any  time  (even  with  the  ignition  off).
Engine oil level
The check is carried out either when the  ignition  is  switched  on  using  the Â

il  level  indicator  in  the  instrument Â

anel  for  vehicles  so  equipped,  or Â

sing  the  dipstick.Checking using the dipstick
Refer to the "Petrol engine" or "Diesel engine" section  for  the  location  of  the  dipstick  in  the Â

ngine  compartment  of  your  vehicle.

Topping up the engine oil level

Operation of the system
The green LED remains on (without flashing) when communication is established.
 It  goes  off  at  the  end  of  communication.
This
 call  is  dealt  with  by  the  CITROËN  Localised  Emergency  Call  centre Â
which
 receives  locating  information  from  the  vehicle  and  can  send  a Â
detailed
 alert  to  the  appropriate  emergency  services.  In  countries  in Â
which
 the  team  is  not  operational,  or  when  the  locating  service  has Â
been
 expressly  declined,  the  call  is  dealt  with  directly  by  the  emergency Â
services
 (112)  without  the  vehicle  location.
If
 an  impact  is  detected  by  the  airbag  control  unit,  and Â
independently
 of  the  deployment  of  any  airbags,  an  emergency  call Â
is
 made  automatically.
*

The  screen  is  of  the  "resistive"  type,  it  is  necessary  to  press  firmly,  particularly  for  "flick"  gestures  (scrolling  through  a  list,  moving  the  map...). Â

simple  wipe  will  not  be  enough.  Pressing  with  more  than  one  finger  is  not  recognised.
The  screen  can  be  used  when  wearing  gloves. Â
