MAINTENANCE INDICATOR
It tells you when the next service is due , i n c o n f o r m i t y w i t h t h e m a i n t e n a n c e s c h e d u l e i n t h e M a i n t e n a n c e g u i d e .
T h i s i n f o r m a t i o n i s c a l c u l a t e d a s a f u n c t i o n o f t w o p a r a m e t e r s : the mileage covered , and the time elapsed since
the last service.
Functioning
F r o m s w i t c h i n g o n t h e i g n i t i o n a n d
f o r a f e w s e c o n d s , t h e spanner
symbol for maintenance lights
up ; the instrument panel tells you
h o w m a n y m i l e s r e m a i n b e f o r e t h e
next service.
For example: you have the
f o l l o w i n g d i s t a n c e l e f t t o t r a v e l
before the next service:
Functioning if the distance to the
next service is less than 1 000 km
(approx. 600 miles)

Example: before the next service

interval is exceeded

vehicle must be serviced as soon
as possible.

oil level indicator is displayed, then
the total mileage recorder resumes
its normal role. The instrument
p a n e l s h o w s y o u t h e t o t a l a n d t r i p
mileage counters. A f e w s e c o n d s a f t e r t h a t , t h e e n
-
gine oil level indicator is displayed,
then the total mileage recorder
resumes its normal role and the
maintenance symbol remains lit
up.
It informs you that a service is
imminently due. The instrument
panel gives you the total and trip
mileages. A f e w s e c o n d s a f t e r y o u h a v e
s w i t c h e d o n t h e i g n i t i o n , t h e
total mileage recorder returns
to its normal operation and
the
maintenance symbol remains
illuminated.

Coolant temperature gauge
With the needle or indicator in zone A, the temperature
is correct.
If the needle or indicator enters zone B, the temperature
is too high. The central STOP a l e r t w a r n i n g l a m p a n d
t h e e n g i n e c o o l a n t l e v e l o r t e m p e r a t u r e w a r n i n g l a m p
both light up, accompanied by an audible signal and a
message on the multifunction screen.
It is essential to stop the vehicle. 1 - Low fuel level
warning

TION DISPLAY, you still
h a v e f u e l s u f i c i e n t f o r a p -
prox. 30 miles.

Lighting rheostat
When the vehicle lamps are on,
press on the button to alter the
b r i g h t n e s s f o r t h e w a r n i n g l a m p s
display, the instrument panel, the
air conditioning panel and the
multifunction screen. When the
lighting reaches the minimum (or
maximum) adjustment, release
the button then press again to
increase it (or decrease it).
As soon as the lighting reaches
the desired intensity, release the
button.
Night driving control
- A i r s t p r e s s o n t h e
DARK button puts the display to sleep. Only the time
and the temperature remain displayed.
- A s e c o n d p r e s s s w i t c h e s o f f t h e d i s p l a y a n d t h e i n s t r u m e n t p a n e l w i t h t h e
exception of the speedometer, its central display and the in formation on
automatic gearbox and cruise control / speed limiter if these ha ve been
activated.
Note: Timed lighting of functions if you:
- Press any of the display controls.
- Select Radio-CD.
- Operate any of the air conditioning controls.
All the displays light up if there is an alert.

Operation in sequential mode

- Selector on M,
- p u s h t h e s e l e c t o r t o w a r d s t h e “+” sign to engage a higher
gear,
- p u l l t h e s e l e c t o r t o w a r d s t h e “-”
t o e n g a g e a l o w e r g e a r .
A shift from D (automatic mode) to
M (sequential mode) is possible at
any time.
After selecting a gear, do not leave
your hand resting on the selector
for more than ten seconds ; risk of
cancelling the sequential function -
t h i s i s s i g n a l l e d b y a l a s h i n g o n
the instrument panel.

Changes from one gear to
a n o t h e r a r e o n l y a c h i e v a b l e w h e n
conditions of vehicle speed and
e n g i n e s p e e d a l l o w . I f t h e y d o n o t ,
t h e n t h e l a w s g o v e r n i n g o p e r a t i o n
of automatic gearboxes come into
play.
When you are stationary or moving
a t v e r y l o w s p e e d , t h e g e a r b o x
a u t o m a t i c a l l y s e l e c t s i r s t g e a r .
The programme “
” ( S n o w )
does not apply in manual mode. Operational anomaly
Any operational disturbance is
s i g n a l l e d b y a l a s h i n g i n t h e
display.
I n t h i s c a s e , t h e g e a r b o x w i l l
operate in emergency mode (third
g e a r i s b l o c k e d ) . Y o u w i l l f e e l a
s n a t c h i n g w h e n s h i f t i n g f r o m
P to
R and from N to R; this snatching
does no harm to your gearbox.
Do not exceed 100 km/h (approx.
0 mph).

This driving assistance device enables you to drive at a constant
speed of
y o u r c h o i c e , w i t h o u t a n y a c t i o n r e q u i r e d o n t h e a c c e l e r a t o r .
C r u i s e c o n t r o l i s a v a i l a b l e a b o v e s p e e d s o f 4 0 k m / h ( 2 5 m p h ) , i n t h e h i g h e r
gears only.
Control A f o r c r u i s e c o n t r o l i s l o c a t e d b e l o w t h e l i g h t i n g / s i g n a l l i n g s t a l k .
Note: The information relating to the cruise control is displayed on the
instrument panel screen at B.
To select the function
Turn the control 1 to the “CRUISE” position.
To select a cruise speed On selection of the function via control 1, no cruise
speed has yet been memorised .
Once you have accelerated to reach your desired speed, give a short
press on button 2 or 4.
The cruise speed is then memorised. It is displayed
on the instrument panel screen B.

keep to that chosen speed.
Notes:
The vehicle speed may vary slightly from that memorised.

Reactivation of cruise control
- By recalling the memorised cruise speed:
After a deactivation, press button 3.
Your vehicle returns automatically to the memorised
c r u i s e s p e e d w h i c h i s d i s p l a y e d o n t h e i n s t r u m e n t
panel screen B.
If the memorised cruise speed is higher than the speed
a t w h i c h y o u a r e c u r r e n t l y t r a v e l l i n g , t h e v e h i c l e w i l l
accelerate strongly to compensate.
- By selection of the current speed:
P r e s s b r i e l y on button 2 or 4 w h e n y o u a r e a t y o u r
desired speed.
The information “OFF” w i l l t h e n d i s a p p e a r f r o m t h e
screen.
To cancel the function
- By moving the control from “CRUISE” position to
position 0.
- By stopping the engine.
The speed previously chosen is no longer
memorised.
In the event of a malfunction , a message is displayed,
accompanied by a sound signal and lighting of the
S E R V I C E w a r n i n g l a m p .
Consult your CITROËN dealer.
Cruise control must only be used where road conditions permit driving at a constant speed.
Do not use it on congested roads or when weather and ro ad conditions are poor.
The driver must still remain attentive and in complete co ntrol of the vehicle.
You are recommended to keep your feet within range of the pedals.
To exceed the cruise speed temporarily
While cruise control is operating, it is still possible to
go above the cruise speed by actioning the accelerator
pedal (for example to overtake another vehicle). The
s p e e d d i s p l a y e d o n t h e s c r e e n l a s h e s . Y o u h a v e
only to release the accelerator pedal to return to the
memorised speed.
Adjusting the cruise speed while cruise control is
in operation
You can adjust the cruise speed,
displayed in zone B,
by pressing:
- Button 4 to increase the speed.
- Button 2 to reduce the speed.
Note: you can use successive presses to modify the
cruise speed in steps of 1 mph and a continuous press
to jump in steps of 5 mph.
Deactivation of cruise control with memorised
speed
- E i t h e r w i t h a p r e s s o n t h e b r a k e p e d a l o r c l u t c h pedal.
- Or if ESP or ASR are activated.
- O r w i t h a p r e s s o n b u t t o n 3.
Note: c r u i s e c o n t r o l i s d i s e n g a g e d w h e n t h e g e a r l e v e r
is in neutral position.

This has to be over 30 km/h (approx. 20 mph).
Control
A f o r t h e s p e e d l i m i t e r i s s i t u a t e d b e l o w t h e l i g h t i n g / s i g n a l l i n g
control stalk.
Note: The information relating to the speed limiter is displayed in the
instrument panel screen at B.
To select the function
Turn control 1 to position “LIMIT”.
On selection of the function via control 1, the last
speed memorised is displayed.
The information “OFF” then disappears from the
screen.
To adjust the maximum speed
Provided the engine is running, you can adjust the memorised spe
ed by
pressing:
- button 4 to increase the memorised speed,
- button 2 to decrease the memorised speed.
Note: you can use successive presses to modify the cruise speed in steps
of 1 mph and a continuous press to jump in steps of 5 mph.
To activate the speed limiter
If the desired limit speed is displayed, press button 3 to activate this limit.
W h i l e t h e f u n c t i o n i s a c t i v e , p r e s s i n g t h e a c c e l e r a t o r p e d a l w i l l n o t e n a b l e
you to go beyond the programmed speed unless you press the pedal
h a r d d o w n p a s t t h e t i g h t s p o t ( s e e “ T e m p o r a r y e x c e e d i n g o f t h e m a x i m u m
speed”).

To deactivate the speed limiter
Press button
3 located on the end of control A.
A mat not approved by CITROËN risks sliding under the a ccelerator pedal, thus preventing you
from pressing past the tight spot.
It will then be impossible to exit from your speed limita tion, unless by resorting to the control
under the steering wheel.
The driver must still remain attentive and in complete co ntrol of the vehicle.
This action causes the information
“OFF” to appear in the instrument panel screen.
The memorised speed remains displayed and is not cancelled.
Temporary exceeding of the maximum speed
Y o u c a n e x c e e d t h e m e m o r i s e d m a x i m u m s p e e d a t a n y t i m e b y p r e s s i n g t h e a c c e l e r a t o r p e d a l h a r d d o w n p a s t t h e
tight spot.

S i m p l y r e l e a s e t h e a c c e l e r a t o r p e d a l t o r e t u r n b e l o w t h e l i m i t s p e e d a n d m a k e t h e f u n c t i o n a c t i v e a g a i n .
Note: if during use of the speed limiter the system is not able to retain the memorised speed (e.g. on a steep
d e s c e n t ) , t h e n t h e s p e e d l a s h e s . I f n e c e s s a r y , a d j u s t y o u r d r i v i n g s p e e d .
T h e f u n c t i o n w i l l r e - e n g a g e w h e n y o u r s p e e d i s a g a i n b e l o w t h e d e s i r e d l i m i t s p e e d .
To cancel the function
- By moving the control from position “LIMIT” to position 0.
- By stopping the engine.
