Creep function
(depending on equipment)
This function allows the vehicle to be
manoeuvred more  easily  at  low  speeds  (when Â

arking,  in  traffic  jams...).
With
 the  gear  selector  in  position  A, M or R ,
the vehicle moves as soon as you take your
foot off the brake pedal ,
 at  low  speed  and Â
w
ith  the  engine  at  idle.
Automated mode
AUTO and  the  gear  engaged  appear  i
n  the  instrument  panel.
The

gearbox  then  operates  in  auto-adaptive Â

ode,

without  any  action  on  the  part  of  the Â

The gear change requests are only carried out if  the  engine  speed  permits.
It is not necessary to release the accelerator
pedal
 during  gear  changes.
When
 braking  or  slowing  down,  the  gearbox Â

hanges  down  automatically  so  that  the  vehicle Â

icks  up  in  the  right  gear.
Under
 full  acceleration,  the  change  up  will  not Â
t
ake  place  unless  the  driver  operates  the  gear Â
s
elector  or  steering  mounted  control  paddle Â
(
unless  the  engine  is  close  to  its  maximum Â

peed).
Reverse
To engage reverse, the vehicle must be immobilised  with  your  foot  on  the  brake.

Automatic operation

The
 gearbox  then  operates  in  auto-adaptive Â

f  the  driver.  It  continuously  selects  the  most Â

uitable  gear  according  to  the  style  of  driving, Â
t
he  profile  of  the  road  and  the  load  in  the Â
v
ehicle.
For
 maximum  acceleration  without  touching Â
t
he  selector,  press  the  accelerator  pedal  down Â
f
ully  (kick  down).  The  gearbox  changes  down Â
a
utomatically  or  maintains  the  gear  selected Â
u
ntil  the  maximum  engine  speed  is  reached.
On
 braking,  the  gearbox  changes  down Â
a
utomatically  to  provide  efficient  engine Â
b
raking.
If you release the accelerator sharply, the
gearbox
 will  not  change  to  a  higher  gear  for Â

afety  reasons.

Sport and snow programmes
These two special programmes supplement the automatic  operation  in  very  specific  conditions Â

f  use.
Sport programme "S"
F Press button "S" ,  after  starting  the  engine.
The  gearbox  automatically  favours  a  dynamic Â
s
tyle  of  driving.
S
 appears  in  the  instrument  panel.
Snow programme "T"
F Press button " T",  after  starting  the  engine.
The  gearbox  adapts  to  driving  on  slippery Â
r
oads.
This
 programme  improves  starting  and  drive Â
w
hen  traction  is  poor.
T
 appears  in  the  instrument  panel.
Return to standard
automatic operation
F At any  time,  press  the  button  selected  a
gain  to  quit  the  programme  engaged  and Â
