For reasons of safety and for your comfort, START mode is invoked automatically when:

ou open the driver's door,

ou unfasten the driver's seat belt,

he speed of the vehicle exceeds 7 mph

km/h) with the electronic gearbox

ystem,

ome special conditions (battery charge,

ngine temperature, braking assistance,

mbient temperature...) where the engine is

eeded for control of a system.
The "ECO"
warning lamp flashes for
a
few seconds, then goes off.
This operation is perfectly normal.
With
a
manual
gearbox
in
STOP
m
ode,
if
you
engage
a
gear
without
f
ully
depressing
the
clutch
pedal,
a
m
essage
is
displayed
asking
you
to
f
ully
depress
the
clutch
pedal
so
that
t
he
engine
can
restart.
STOP
mode
is
not
invoked
when:
-
t
he
driver's
door
is
open,
-
t
he
driver's
seat
belt
is
not
fastened,
-
t
he
vehicle
has
not
exceeded
6
mph
(10
km/h)
since
the
last
engine
start
using
t
he
key,
-
t
he
engine
is
needed
to
maintain
a
c
omfortable
temperature
in
the
passenger
c
ompartment,
-
d
emisting
is
active,
-
s
ome
special
conditions
(battery
charge,

temperature,
braking
assistance,
a

temperature...)
where
the
engine
is

eeded
to
assure
control
of
a
system.

Stop & Start requires a 12 V battery with a special specification and

echnology.
All
work on this type of battery must

nly be done by a CITROËN dealer or

qualified workshop.

Operating fault
In the event of a fault with the system, the "ECO OFF" switch warning lamp flashes for a
f
ew moments then comes on continuously.
Have
it checked by a CITROËN dealer or a
q
ualified
w
orkshop.
In
the event of a fault in STOP mode, the
v
ehicle may stall. All of the instrument panel
w
arning lamps come on. It is then necessary
t
o switch off the ignition and start the engine
a
gain using the key.
Press
this
switch
to
deactivate
the
system.
The
deactivation
is
confirmed
by
the
switch
w
arning
lamp
coming
on
accompanied
by
a
m
essage.
Pressing
this
switch
again
reactivates
the
f
unction.
The
switch
warning
lamp
goes
off,
a
ccompanied
by
a
message.
In
certain
circumstances,
such
as
maintaining
a
comfortable
temperature
in
the
passenger
c
ompartment,
it
may
be
useful
to
deactivate
S
top
&
Start.
You
can
request
deactivation
at
any
time,
once
t
he
ignition
is
switched
on.
If
the
engine
is
in
STOP
mode,
it
restarts
i
mmediately.
Stop
&
Start
reactivates
automatically
each
t
ime
the
ignition
is
switched
on.

Opening the bonnet

Before
driving through a flooded road,

t is strongly recommended that you

eactivate the Stop & Start system.
For
more advice on driving,

articularly on flooded roads, refer to

Before
doing anything under the bonnet,

eactivate the Stop & Start system to
a
void the risk of injury related to an
a
utomatic change to START mode.

Exceeding the programmed speed
Pressing the accelerator pedal to exceed the programmed speed will not have any effect unless you press the pedal firmly past the point of resistance .
The
speed limiter is deactivated temporarily and the programmed speed,
w
hich is still displayed, flashes.
Returning
to the programmed speed, by means of intentional or unintentional
d
eceleration of the vehicle, automatically cancels the flashing of the
pro
grammed
s
peed. On
a steep descent or in the event of s
harp acceleration, the speed limiter w
ill not be able to prevent the vehicle
from
exceeding the programmed
s
peed.
To
avoid any risk of jamming of the
ped
als:
-
e
nsure that the mat is secured
c
o r r e c t l y,
-
d
o not fit one mat on top of another.
Leaving limiter mode
F Turn thumb wheel 1 to the "0" position: t
he speed limiter mode is deselected. The
d
isplay returns to the distance recorder.
Operating fault
In the event of a speed limiter fault, the speed is cleared resulting in flashing of the dashes.

Cruise control
System which automatically maintains the speed of the vehicle at the value programmed

y the driver, without any action on the

The cruise control is switched on
m
anually:

equires a minimum vehicle speed of 25 mph
(
40 km/h), as well as the engagement of:

f
ourth gear on a manual gearbox,
-
s
econd gear on a or automatic or electronic
g
earbox, in sequential mode,
-
p
osition A on an electronic gearbox or
p
osition d on an automatic gearbox.
The cruise control is switched off
m
anually
o
r by pressing the brake or clutch pedal or on
t
riggering of the trajectory control systems for
s
afety reasons.
It
is possible to exceed the programmed speed
t
emporarily by pressing the accelerator pedal.
To
return to the programmed speed, simply
r
elease the accelerator pedal.
Switching
off the ignition cancels any
p
rogrammed speed value. The
controls of this system are grouped

Reversing camera
The reversing camera cannot in any c
ircumstances be a substitute for

Clean
the reversing camera regularly

sing a soft, dry cloth.

The
colour image is provided in the navigation

reen. The space between the blue lines represents the
width of your vehicle except for the door mirrors.
The blue lines represent the general direction o

The red line represents a distance of about

ear bumper. The audible signal becomes

ontinuous from this limit.

green lines represent distances of about

and 2 metres beyond the edge of your

ehicle's rear bumper.

Programming
In some weather conditions (e.g. low temperature or humidity), the presence

f misting on the internal sur face of the

lass of the headlamps and rear lamps

good or rainy weather, by both day

nd night, the front foglamps and the

ear foglamp are prohibited. In these

ituations, the power of their beams

ay dazzle other drivers.
Do not forget to switch off the front
f
oglamps and the rear foglamp when
t
hey are no longer necessary.

automatically

when
the
dipped

switched

the

f activation of the windscreen wipers.
