Only the passenger's front airbag can be deactivated:

ith the ignition off ,
 insert  the  key  in  the Â
p
assenger's  airbag  deactivation  switch,
F
t
urn it to the "OFF" position,
F
Â
t
hen,  remove  the  key  keeping  the  switch  in Â
t
he  new  position.
This
 warning  lamp  comes  on  in  the Â
i
nstrument  panel  when  the  ignition Â
i
s  on  and  until  the  airbag  is  re-
activated. To
 assure  the  safety  of  your  child, Â
t
he  passenger's  front  airbag  must  be Â
d
eactivated  when  you  install  a  rear ward Â
f
acing  child  seat  on  the  front  passenger Â
sea
t.
Other wise,  the  child  would  risk  being Â
s
eriously  injured  or  killed  if  the  airbag Â
w
ere  deployed.
Reactivation
When you remove a child seat that has been f
itted  rear ward  facing,  turn  switch  to  the Â
"On"Â p
osition  to  re-activate  the  airbag  and  so Â
a
ssure  the  safety  of  your  front  passenger  in  the Â
e
vent  of  an  impact.
Operating fault
If this warning lamp comes on in the instrument  panel,  you  must  contact Â
a
 CITROËN  dealer  or  qualified Â
w
orkshop  to  have  the  system Â
c
hecked.  The  airbags  may  no  longer Â
b
e  deployed  in  the  event  of  a  serious Â
im
pact.

Curtain airbags
System which contributes towards improving the  protection  of  the  driver  and  passengers Â
(
with  the  exception  of  the  rear  centre Â
p
assenger)  in  the  event  of  a  serious  side Â
i
mpact  in  order  to  limit  the  risk  of  injury  to  the Â
s
ide  of  the  head.
Each
 curtain  airbag  is  built  into  the  pillars  and Â
t
he  upper  passenger  compartment  area.
deployment
The curtain airbag is deployed at the same time  as  the  corresponding  lateral  airbag  in  the Â
e
vent  of  a  serious  side  impact  applied  to  all  or Â
p
art  of  the  side  impact  zone  B,  perpendicular Â
t
o  the  longitudinal  centreline  of  the  vehicle  on  a Â
h
orizontal  plane  and  directed  from  the  outside Â
t
owards  the  inside  of  the  vehicle.
The
 curtain  airbag  inflates  between  the  front  or Â
r
ear  occupant  of  the  vehicle  and  the  windows.
Operating fault
In the event of a minor impact or bump on  the  side  of  the  vehicle  or  if  the Â
v
ehicle  rolls  over,  the  airbag  may  not  be Â
d
eployed.
In the event of a rear or front collision,
the
 airbag  is  not  deployed.
If this warning lamp comes on in the instrument  panel,  accompanied  by  an a
udible  signal  and  a  message  in  the
 s
creen,  contact  a  CITROËN  dealer  or  a
 q
ualified  workshop  to  have  the  system
 c
hecked.  The  airbags  may  no  longer  be
 d
eployed  in  the  event  of  a  serious  impact.

Deactivating the passenger's front airbag
Never install a rear ward facing child restraint  system  on  a  seat  protected  by Â
a
n  active  front  airbag.  This  could  cause Â
t
he  death  of  the  child  or  serious  injury.The
 warning  label  present  on  both  sides  of  the  p
assenger's  sun  visor  repeats  this  advice.  In Â
l
ine  with  current  legislation,  the  following  tables Â
c
ontain  this  warning  in  all  of  the  languages Â
r
equired.
Passenger airbag OFF
For information on deactivating the passenger's  front  airbag,  refer  to  the Â
"
Airbags" Â section.

Fuel tankFuel tank capacity: approximately 50 litres (petrol) or 46 litres (diesel);
(dep ending on version: approximately 30 litres (petrol or di esel)).
Low fuel level
Filling
A label affixed to the inside of the flap reminds you  of  the  type  of  fuel  to  be  used  depending  on Â
y
our
 eng
ine.
Additions
 of  fuel  must  be  of  at  least  7  litres,  in Â
o
rder  to  be  registered  by  the  fuel  gauge.The
 key  cannot  be  removed  from  the Â
l
ock  until  the  cap  is  refitted.
Opening
 the  filler  cap  may  create  a Â
n
oise  caused  by  an  inrush  of  air.  This Â
v
acuum  is  entirely  normal,  resulting Â
f
rom  the  sealing  of  the  fuel  system.
To
 fill  the  tank  safely:
F t he engine must be switched off,
F o pen the fuel filler flap,
F
Â
i
nsert  the  key  in  the  cap,  then  turn  it  to Â
t
he
left,F
Â
r
emove  the  cap  and  hook  it  onto  the  clip  l
ocated  on  the  inside  of  the  flap,
F  f ill  the  tank,  but do not continue after the
3rd cut- off of the pump ;
 this  could  cause Â
m
alfunctions.
When
 you  have  filled  the  tank:

ut  the  cap  back  in  place,
F
Â
t
urn  the  key  to  the  right,  then  remove  it Â
f
rom  the  cap,
F
Â
c
lose  the  flap.
When the fuel tank minimum level is reached  this  warning  lamp  comes  on o
n  the  instrument  panel.  When  it  first
 c
omes  on  there  remains  approximately
5 litres
 of  fuel  in  the  tank.
With Stop & Start, never refuel with the
system in  STOP  mode;  you  must  switch Â
o
ff  the  ignition  with  the  key.
You

must  refuel  as  soon  as  possible  to  avoid Â
r
unning  out  of  fuel.

In the event of a fault with the SCR emissions control system
If it is a temporary fault, the alert disappears  during  the  next  journey, Â
a
fter  self-diagnosis  of  the  SCR  system.
A
 system  that  prevents  engine  starting  is  activated  automatically  from  650  miles  (1  100  km)  after  confirmation  of  a  fault  with  the  SCR  emissions Â
c
ontrol  system.  Have  the  system  checked  by  a  CITROËN  dealer  or  a  qualified  workshop  as  soon  as  possible.
In the event of the detection of a fault

isplay  of  a  message  (e.g.:  "Emissions  fault:

tarting  prevented  in  150  miles")  indicating  the

emaining  range  express  in  miles  or  kilometres.
While  driving,  the  message  is  displayed  every

0  seconds  while  the  fault  with  the  SCR  system
 p
ersists.
The  alert  is  repeated  when  switching  on  the ig
nition.
You
 should  go  to  a  CITROËN  dealer  or  a
 q
ualified  workshop  as  soon  as  possible.
Other wise, you will not be able to restart your

 have  exceeded  the  authorised Â

riving  limit:  the  starting  prevention Â

ystem  inhibits  engine  starting.

Rapid flashing of the direction indicator warning  lamp  (right  or  left)  indicates  the Â

ailure  of  a  bulb  on  that  side.
