Departure and Comfort
Press the edit button fordeparture and comfort settings.
Setting departure times allows you tocontrol charging schedules and warm orcool your cabin and the high voltagebattery when your vehicle is plugged in, soyour vehicle is ready to drive when you are.By setting a departure time, your vehiclecan use your charge time settings tominimize your electricity costs but stillprioritize finishing charging before yourscheduled departure. The calendar viewallows you to program two departure timesper day for each day of the week.
Note:By using energy from your chargingsource while plugged in, batterytemperature can be managed for bestdriving performance and less energy will beneeded for heating or cooling of the cabinat the start of your drive. This helpsmaximize your driving range.

This switch is visible when your vehicle isat a saved charging location. Use thisswitch to turn your settings off and on forthis location only. Switching off for thislocation does not delete your settings,however, you must switch back on tore-enable them.

On/Off Switch for Departure andComfort
This switch is visible when you have atleast one departure time set. Use thisswitch to turn all departure times off andon. Switching off departure and comfortdoes not delete your settings, however,you must switch back on to re-enablethem.
Charging Location Setup
Follow these steps to set time and chargelevel preferences for a charging location.
Press the edit button forcharging locations on the chargesettings screen.
1.Select an address from the list ofrecent charge locations. If thepreviously saved charge locations arenot listed, then you must first selectadd new location. You can also editsettings for previously saved locations.
2.Confirm that this is the location youwant to save with the help of the mapview. Edit the location name if desiredand set a maximum charge level. Pressnext.
Note:Charging will stop when your vehiclereaches the maximum charge level setting.
3.Set preferred charging times forweekday and/or weekend by pressingand dragging along the 24 hour timewheel. You can set up to two blocks oftime (charge windows). Press nextonce you have your desired timesettings for weekday and weekend.
Note:Selecting all or none of the 24 hoursresults in any time of day given equal priorityfor charging.
4.The summary screen displays yoursettings for this location. Press save orpress the left arrow to go back andchange your settings. Whenever yourvehicle is at a saved charging location,the charge settings screen displays thelocation name, and the charging timesare based on your preferred timesettings for that location plus the nextdeparture time.
Note:Reaching your max charge level byyour next departure time is always thepriority. When charge times are set, chargingoutside your preferred charging timewindows could be necessary in order tofinish by your next departure time. In thiscase, the vehicle will typically begin chargingright away after plugging in.
Departure and Comfort Setup
Follow these steps to set departure timesand cabin comfort level.
1.Press the edit button for departure andcomfort on the charge settings screen.
2.Select a time for each day of the weekyou want your settings to apply. Selectthe hour and minutes as well as yourdesired comfort level. Your selecteddays/times now display your departureand comfort settings. Press Save toapply your settings. The next departuredisplay on the charge settings screenwill update appropriately.

Note:Save your departure settings beforeselecting additional days/times. Theprocess must be repeated in order to addadditional unique departure times andcomfort levels.
Note:Cabin conditioning comfort level mayvary depending on if you plug into a normalhousehold outlet or a higher power outletor charging station. The power available forconditioning is limited to the chargingstation power available. At low ambienttemperatures and low charge power, asmall amount of high voltage battery powerin addition to the charging power could beused to heat the cabin.
Note:The departure and comfort settingscan also be accessed through the separatevehicle settings departure and comfortbutton. Press the edit button from thisscreen to begin the settings process outlinedabove.
USING FORDPASS AND
CHARGING
The FordPass app allows you to do thefollowing:
•Monitor and manage your vehicle'scharging, including charge schedulesand preferences.
•Locate a charger and activate a chargeron the BlueOval Charging Network.
•Plan a trip and charging options alongyour route.
•Check charging station plug availability.
•Initiate a charge session automaticallyat Plug and Charge capable chargestations.
•Control your Ford Connected ChargeStation remotely.
•Override charge preferences andstarting and stopping charging.

CHARGING YOUR VEHICLE
HINTS
Use AC charging when possible andminimize the use of DC charging. It helpsto preserve your high voltage battery'sefficiency and lifespan.
We recommend ending DC charges at80% state of charge.
Note:The system could reduce DC fastcharging rate to preserve the battery. Thisis based on battery temperature, batterystate of charge and battery health.
In cold temperatures, you may notice thatDC charging takes longer when theambient temperature drops below 50°F(10°C). Shutting off climate control orreducing climate control temperature andfan settings for the first 10 to 15 minutes ofDC charging allows the battery to warmup and improve the charging rate.
Note:When the temperature is belowfreezing, fully turning off cabin heat for thefirst 10 to 15 minutes of DC charging couldsignificantly improve the charging rate.
When AC charging, keep your vehicleplugged in when outside temperatures arevery high or low. This enables the systemto maintain the high voltage battery forbest performance.

CHARGING YOUR VEHICLE –FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why does my vehicle not charge withthe mobile power cord?
Ensure you properly connect theconnector and control box. Unplug thecharge coupler from the vehicle andunplug the connector from the walloutlet. Then check the connector tobe sure that the connector isconnected properly into the mobilepower cord control box. If the mobilepower cord is warm or in a hotenvironment, try charging in a coolerarea. Try a different outlet or adifferent connector if you have oneavailable. If the problem persists,contact an authorized EV certifieddealer.
Why does my vehicle have a hum or fannoise when charging?
A hum or a fan noise could be presentwhen charging the high voltagebattery. This is a normal operation asyour vehicle is keeping the battery coolwhile charging.

PRECAUTIONS
WARNING: When your vehicle isstationary, keep the brake pedal fullypressed when shifting gears. Failure tofollow this instruction could result inpersonal injury, death or propertydamage.
WARNING: Do not apply the brakepedal and accelerator pedalsimultaneously. Applying both pedalssimultaneously for more than a fewseconds will limit power, which mayresult in difficulty maintaining speed intraffic and could lead to serious injury.
WARNING: Apply the parkingbrake, shift into park (P), switch thevehicle off and remove the key or remotecontrol before you leave your vehicle.Failure to follow this instruction couldresult in personal injury or death.
Note:You may not be able to shift out ofpark (P) unless the intelligent access key isinside your vehicle.
SELECTOR POSITIONS
PARK (P)
WARNING: Shift into park (P) onlywhen your vehicle is stationary.
In park (P) power is not transmitted to thedriven wheels.
Note:A tone sounds if you attempt to exityour vehicle without the selector in park (P).
Note:Your vehicle may not shift out of park(P) if the vehicle battery has run out ofcharge. See Jump Starting the Vehicle(page 309).
Note:Your vehicle may not shift out of park(P) if a fuse is blown. See Fuses (page 314).
Note:The electronic parking brake couldapply when the selector is in park (P). SeeAutomatically Releasing the ElectricParking Brake (page 200).
Note:Your vehicle could shift into park (P)if you attempt to exit your vehicle withoutthe selector in park (P). See How DoesAutomatic Return to Park (P) Work (page194).
Note:A tone could sound when you selectpark (P).
REVERSE (R)
WARNING: Shift into reverse (R)only when your vehicle is stationary.
In reverse (R) power is transmitted to thedriven wheels.

In neutral (N) power is not transmitted tothe driven wheels.
DRIVE (D)
In drive (D) power is transmitted to thedriven wheels.

LOW (L)
In low (L) your vehicle decelerates morenoticeably than in drive (D) when yourelease the accelerator pedal.
Note:We recommend using this mode fordriving on hilly or mountainous roads orwhen towing a trailer. See Towing a Trailer(page 300).
SHIFTING YOUR VEHICLE INTO
GEAR
The selector is on the center console.
1.Press and hold the brake pedal.
2.Rotate the outer ring to select aposition.
Note:The position illuminates on theselector.
Note:Your vehicle cannot shift from drive(D) to park (P) with a clockwise rotation.Your vehicle cannot shift from park (P) todrive (D) with a counterclockwise rotation.
3.Press the low (L) button when yourvehicle is in drive (D) to enter or exitmode.
TEMPORARY NEUTRAL MODE
WHAT IS TEMPORARY NEUTRALMODE
This mode keeps your vehicle in neutral(N), for a limited time, when you exit yourvehicle or switch your vehicle off.
Note:Do not tow your vehicle in this mode.
HOW DOES TEMPORARYNEUTRAL MODE WORK
Use this mode to keep your vehicle inneutral (N) when you exit your vehicle orswitch your vehicle off. For example, if youexit your vehicle before an automatic carwash.
Note:You do not need to use this mode atan automatic car wash if you stay in yourvehicle with power on.
Note:Do not tow your vehicle in this mode.
Note:Automatic return to park (P) isdelayed when your vehicle is in this mode.See Electric Motor Audible Warnings(page 194).
TEMPORARY NEUTRAL MODELIMITATIONS
Your vehicle could shift to park (P) after30 minutes, or when the vehicle batterycharge level is low. Prolonged use of thismode can cause the vehicle battery to runout of charge.
Do not tow your vehicle in this mode.Failure to follow these instructions couldresult in vehicle damage not covered bythe vehicle warranty.
ENTERING TEMPORARYNEUTRAL MODE
1.Power your vehicle on.

WHAT IS AUTOMATIC RETURN TOPARK (P)
Your vehicle shifts into park (P) if youattempt to exit your vehicle without thevehicle in park (P).
HOW DOES AUTOMATIC RETURNTO PARK (P) WORK
Your vehicle shifts to park (P) when yourvehicle is stationary and any of thefollowing occur:
•You switch the vehicle off.
•You open the driver door with the driverseatbelt unfastened.
•You unfasten the driver seatbelt withthe driver door open.
Note:Do not use automatic return to park(P) when your vehicle is moving, except inan emergency. See Powering Off (page164).
AUTOMATIC RETURN TO PARK(P) LIMITATIONS
Automatic return to park (P) may not workif the door ajar sensor or seatbelt sensorare malfunctioning.
See an authorized dealer if any of thefollowing occur:
•Seatbelt indicator illuminates or tonesounds with the seatbelt fastened.
•Door ajar indicator does not illuminatewith the driver door open.
•Door ajar indicator illuminates with thedriver door closed.
•Transmission not in park messageappears with the driver door closed,after you shift out of park (P).

HOW DOES ALL-WHEEL DRIVE
WORK
The all-wheel drive system is designed tocontinuously monitor and adjust powerdelivery to the front and rear wheels tooptimize both traction and handling.
There is further information on driving inunique driving conditions. See DrivingHints (page 301).
ALL-WHEEL DRIVE
PRECAUTIONS
WARNING: Do not becomeoverconfident in the ability of all-wheeldrive vehicles. Although an all-wheeldrive vehicle may accelerate better thana two-wheel drive vehicle in low tractionsituations, it won't stop any faster thantwo-wheel drive vehicles. Always driveat a safe speed.
ALL-WHEEL DRIVE
LIMITATIONS
The all-wheel drive system is not intendedfor use with mismatched tires.
Different tire sizes between the front andrear axles can cause system damage.
