Note:Replacing the battery will not delete the remote control from your
vehicle. The remote control should operate normally after battery
replacement.
The remote entry transmitter uses one coin type three-volt lithium
battery CR2032 or equivalent.
To replace the battery:
1. Twist a thin coin between the two
halves of the remote entry
transmitter near the key ring.Note:
Do not take the rubber cover and
circuit board off the front housing
of the remote entry transmitter.
2. Do not wipe off any grease on the
battery terminals on the back
surface of the circuit board.
3. Remove the old battery.
4. Insert the new battery. Refer to the diagram inside the remote entry
transmitter for the correct orientation of the battery. Press the battery
down to ensure that the battery is fully seated in the battery housing
cavity.
5. Snap the two halves back together.
Replacing Lost Remote Entry Transmitters
If you would like to have your remote entry transmitter reprogrammed
because you lost one, or would like to buy additional remote entry
transmitters, you can either reprogram them yourself, or take all remote
entry transmitters to your authorized dealer for reprogramming.

ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE
Vehicles Sold in the United States: Getting Roadside Assistance
To fully assist you should you have a vehicle concern, Ford Motor
Company offers a complimentary Roadside Assistance program. This
program is separate from the New Vehicle Limited Warranty. The service
is available:
•24 hours a day, seven days a week.
•For the coverage period listed on the Roadside Assistance Card
included in your Owner’s Manual portfolio.
Roadside assistance covers:
•A flat tire change with a good spare, if provided with the vehicle
(except vehicles supplied with a tire inflation kit).
•Battery jump start.
•Lock-out assistance (key replacement cost is the customer’s
responsibility).
•Fuel delivery – Independent Service Contractors, if not prohibited by
state, local or municipal law, shall deliver up to 2.0 gallons (7.6 liters)
of gasoline or 5.0 gallons (18.9 liters) of diesel fuel to a disabled
vehicle. Roadside Assistance limits fuel delivery service to two
no-charge occurrences within a 12-month period.
•Winch out – available within 100 feet (30.5 meters) of a paved or
county maintained road, no recoveries.
•Towing – Independent service contractors, if not prohibited by state,
local or municipal law, shall tow Ford eligible vehicles to an authorized
dealer within 35 miles (56 kilometers) of the disablement location or
to the nearest authorized dealer. If a member requests a tow to an
authorized dealer that is more than 35 miles (56 kilometers) from the
disablement location, the member shall be responsible for any mileage
costs in excess of 35 miles (56 kilometers).
Roadside Assistance includes up to $200 for a towed trailer if the
disabled eligible vehicle requires service at the nearest authorized dealer.
If the towing vehicle is operational but the trailer is not, then the trailer
does not qualify for any roadside services.
Vehicles Sold in the United States: Using Roadside Assistance
Complete the roadside assistance identification card and place it in your
wallet for quick reference. This card is found in the owner’s manual
portfolio in the glove compartment.

or exceed Ford Motor Company’s specifications and are engineered for
your vehicle. Use of other parts may impact vehicle performance,
emissions and durability. Your warranty may be void for any damage
related to use of other parts.
If a Motorcraft oil filter is not available, use an oil filter that meets
industry performance specification SAE/USCAR-36.
For spark plug replacement, contact an authorized dealer. Replace the
