Seats and Seat Controls
This section tells you about the seats -- how to adjust
them, and fold them
up and down.
Manual Front Seat
You can lose control of the vehicle if you try to
adjust
a manual driver’s seat while the vehicle is
moving. The sudden movement could startle and
confuse you, or make you push a pedal when you
don’t want to. Ad.just the driver’s seat only when
the vehicle is not moving.
where you want it. Then
release
the lever and try to
move the seat with your
body
to make sure the seat
is locked into place.
Move the lever under the
front
of the easy entry seat
up to unlock it. Slide the
seat
to where you want it.
Then release the lever and
try to move the seat
with
your body to make sure the
seat
is locked into place.

Turn and Lane Change Signals
The turn signal has twio upward (for right) and two
downward (for left) positions. These positions allow
you
to signal a turn or LI lane change.
To signal a tum, move the lever all the way up or down.
When the turn is finished. the lever will return automatically.\
An arrow on the instrument
panel will flash
in the
direction
of the turn
or lane change.
To signal a lane change, just raise or lower the lever
unt.il the arrow starts to flash. Hold it there until you
complete
your lane change. The lever will return by
itself when
you release it.
As you signal a turn or a lane change, if the arrows don't
flash but just stay
on, a signal bulb may be burned out
and other drivers won't see your turn signal.
If a bulb is burned out, replace it to help ac.oid an
accident.
If the arrows don't go on at all when you
signal
a turn, check the fuse (see "Fuses and Circuit
Breakers"
in the Index) and for burned-out bulbs.
If you have a trailer towing option with added wiring for
the trailer lamps.
a different turn signal flasher is used.
With this flasher installed, the signal indicator will flash
even
if ;I turn signal bulb is burned out. Check the front
and rear turn signal
lamps regularly to make sure they
are working.
Headlamp HighLow Beam Changer
To change the headlamps from low-beam to high or
high
to low. pull the multifunction lever all the way
toward you. Then release
it.

Accessory Power Outlets (If Equipped)
If you have accessory power outlets, you can plug in
auxiliary electrical equipment. The accessory power
outlets are located below the cigarette lighter. Just
pull
down from the top of the door and follow the proper
installation instructions that are included
with any
electrical equipment you install.
These circuits are protected by
a fuse and have
maximum current levels.
I NOTICE:
When using the accessory power outlets, nlaximum
electrical load must not exceed
25 amps. Always
turn
off any electrical equipment when not in use.
Leaving electrical equipment on for extended
periods
will drain your battery.
Sunroof (If Equipped)
Your vehicle may be equipped with a power sliding
sunroof.
Press and release the rear side of the button in
the miniconsole to open the sunroof. You can press the
forward side
of the button to close the sunroof. Once the
sunroof
is closed. press the forward side of the button to
open the sunroof to the vent position.
The sunroof
is also equipped with a sunshade which you
can
pull forw;~rd to block sun rays.

Your vehicle has an air bag system. Before attempting to
do your own service work, see "Servicing Your Air
Bag-Equipped Vehicle'' in the Index.
You should keep a record with all parts receipts and list
the mileage and the date of any service work you
perfonn. See "Maintenance Record" in the Index.
I--
A CAUTION:
You can be in-jured and your vehicle could be
damaged if you try
to do service work on a
vehicle without knowing enough about it.
Be sure you have sufficient knowledge,
experience, the proper replacement parts and tools before you attempt any vehicle
nlaintenance task.
Be sure to use the proper nuts, bolts and
other fasteners. "English" and "metric"
fasteners can be easily
confused. If you use
the wrong fasteners, parts can later break
or fall off. You could be hurt.
Service
Your GM dealer knows your vehicle best and wants yc.)u
to be happy with it. We hope you'll go to your dealer for
all yo~~r service needs. You'll pet genuine, GM parts and
GM-trained and supported service people.
We hope
~011'11 want to keep yo~~r GM vehicle all GM.
Genuine. GM parts have one of these marks:

Doing Your Own Service Work
If you want to do some of your own service work. you'll
want to get the proper GM Service Manual. It tells you
much more about
IIOW to service your vehicle than this
tnanual can. To order the proper service manual, see
"Service and Owner Publications"
ill the Index.

Headlamps
The headlamp wiring is protected by an internal circuit
breaker. An electrical overload
will cause the lamps to go
on and
off, or in some cases to remain off. If this happens,
have
your headlamp wiring checked right away.
Windshield Wipers
The windshield wiper motor is protected by a circuit breaker
and a fuse.
If the motor overheats due to heavy snow, etc.. the
wiper will stop
until the motor cools. If the overload is caused
by some electrical problem, be sure
to get it fixed.
Power Windows and Other Power Options
Circuit breakers protect the power windows and other
power accessories. When the current load is too heavy.
the circuit breaker opens and closes, protecting the
circuit
until the problem is fixed or goes away.
Fuses and Circuit Breakers
The wiring circuits in your vehicle are protected from
short circuits by
a combination of fuses, circuit breakers
and fusible thermal links. This greatly reduces the
chance of fires caused by electrical problems.
Look
at the silver-colored band inside the fuse. If the
band is broken
or melted, replace the fuse. Be sure you
replace a bad fuse
with a new one of the identical size
and rating.
If you ever have a problem on the road and don't have a
spare fuse.
you can borrow one that has the same
amperage. Just pick
some feature of your vehicle that
you can get along without
-- like the radio or cigarette
lighter
-- and use its fuse, if it is the correct amperage.
Replace
it as soon as you can.
Instrument Panel Fuse Block
The fuse block is at the
driver's end of the
instrument panel.
Remove the
toller by turning the fastener
counterclockwise. Extra fuses and the fuse extractor are
provided
in the cover. To reinstall the fuse panel cover.
push in and turn the fastener clockwise.
