To Use Maintenance MinderTM
Maintenance items, which should be serviced at the same time that you replace the
engine oil, appear on the driver information interface.
You can view them on the engine oil life screen at any time.
1. Set the power mode to ON.
2. Roll the right selector wheel until the Ma intenance Minder screen is displayed.
The engine oil life appears on the dr iver information interface along with
maintenance items due soon.

Based on the engine ope rating conditions, the
remaining engine oi l life is calculated and displayed
as a percentage.
There is a list of maintena nce main and sub items you
can view on the driver information interface.

after driving over 10 miles (U.S. models)
or 10 km (Canadian models). The
negative distance on the display blinks.

*4: Driving in mountainous areas at very low vehicle speeds results in higher transmission temperatures. This requires transmission fluid changes more frequently than recommended by the Maintenance
Minder. If you regularly drive your vehicle under these conditions, have the transmission fluid changed
every 47,500 miles (76,000 km) or 3 years.
*5: If a Maintenance Minder message does not appear more than 36 months after the display for item 7 is reset, change the brake fluid every 3 years.

Reset the maintenance minder informati on display if you have performed the
maintenance service.
1. Set the power mode to ON.
2. Roll the right selector wheel until the Ma intenance Minder screen is displayed.
3. Press and hold the right selector wheel for about 10 seconds to enter the reset
mode.
4. Roll the right selector wheel to select a maintenance item to reset, or to select All
due items (You can also select Cancel to end the process).
5. Press the right selector wheel to reset the selected item.
6. Repeat from step 3 for other items you wish to reset.

NOTICE
Failure to reset the Maintenance MinderTM display
after a maintenance servic e results in the system
showing incorrect maintena nce intervals, which can
lead to serious mechanical problems.
The dealer will reset the Maintenance Minder
TM
display after completing th e required maintenance
service. If someone other than a dealer performs
maintenance service, reset the Maintenance
Minder
TM display yourself.
You can also reset the Maintenance Minder
TM display

12-Volt Battery
Checking the 12-Volt Battery
The condition of the battery is monitored by a
sensor located on the negative terminal of the
battery. If there is a problem with this sensor,
the driver information in terface will display a
warning message. If this happens, have your
vehicle inspected by a dealer.
Check the battery terminals for corrosion
monthly.
If your vehicle’s battery is disconnected or goes dead:
• The audio system is disabled.

WARNING: Battery post, terminals,

■Reasons for the indicator to come on
• Comes on if there is a problem with the EPS system.
■What to do when the indicator comes on
• Stop the vehicle in a safe place and turn on the power system again.
If the indicator comes on and stays on, immediately have your vehicle
inspected by a dealer.
• If Do not drive displays on the driver information interface,
immediately stop in a safe place and contact a dealer.
