•When using a wheel without the TPMS
such as the spare tire, the TPMS will not
function and the low tire pressure
warning light will flash for approxi-
mately 1 minute. The light will remain on
after 1 minute. Have your tires replaced
and/or TPMS system reset as soon as
possible. It is recommended that you
visit an INFINITI retailer for these
services.
• Replacing tires with those not originally
specified by INFINITI could affect the
proper operation of the TPMS.
CAUTION
• The TPMS is not a substitute for the
regular tire pressure check. Be sure to
check the tire pressure regularly.
• If the vehicle is being driven at speeds of
less than 16 mph (25 km/h), the TPMS
may not operate correctly.
• Be sure to install the specified size of
tires to the four wheels correctly.
Malfunction Indicator Light
(MIL)
If this indicator light comes on steady or
blinks while the engine is running, it may indi-
cate a potential emission control
malfunction.
The MIL may also come on steady if the
fuel-filler cap is loose or missing, or if the
vehicle runs out of fuel. Check to make sure
the fuel-filler cap is installed and closed
tightly, and that the vehicle has at least 3
gallons (11.4 liters) of fuel in the fuel tank.
After a few driving trips, the
light should
turn off if no other potential emission control
system malfunction exists.
If this indicator light comes on steady for 20
seconds and then blinks for 10 seconds when
the engine is not running, it indicates that the
vehicle is not ready for an emission control
system inspection/maintenance test. For ad-
ditional information, see “Readiness for
Inspection/Maintenance (I/M) test”
(P. 10-24).
Operation
The MIL will come on in one of two ways:
• MIL on steady — An emission control sys- tem malfunction has been detected. Check
the fuel-filler cap. If the fuel-filler cap is
loose or missing, tighten or install the cap
and continue to drive the vehicle. The
light should turn off after a few driving
trips. If thelight does not turn off
after a few driving trips, have the vehicle
checked. It is recommended that you visit
an INFINITI retailer for this service. You do
not need to have your vehicle towed to the
retailer.
• MIL blinking — An engine misfire has been detected which may damage the emission
control system. To reduce or avoid emis-
sion control system damage:– Do not drive at speeds above 45 mph (72 km/h).
– Avoid hard acceleration or deceleration.
– Avoid steep uphill grades.
– If possible, reduce the amount of cargo being hauled or towed.
The MIL may stop blinking and come on
steady. Have the vehicle checked. It is recom-
mended that you visit an INFINITI retailer for
this service. You do not need to have your
vehicle towed to the retailer.

1. Vehicle speed (MPH or km/h)
The vehicle speed mode shows the current
vehicle speed and the average vehicle speed
since the last reset.
Average vehicle speed:
Push the
orswitch on the steering
wheel for longer than 1.5 seconds to reset.
The average vehicle display is updated every
30 seconds. the first 30 seconds after a rest,
the display shows “– – –’
2. Elapsed time and trip odometer
Elapsed time:
The elapsed time shows the time since the
last reset. Push the
orswitch on
the steering wheel for longer than 1.5 sec-
onds to reset. The trip odometer is also reset
at the same time.
Trip odometer:
The trip odometer shows the total distance
the vehicle has been driven since the last
reset. Push the
orswitch on the
steering wheel for longer than 1.5 seconds to
reset. The elapsed time is also reset at the
same time.
3. Fuel economy display
Current fuel consumption:
The current fuel consumption mode shows
the current fuel consumption.
Average fuel consumption:
The average fuel consumption mode shows
the average fuel consumption since the last
reset. Push the
orswitch on the
steering wheel for longer than 1.5 seconds to
reset.
The display is updated every 30 seconds. For
about the first 1/3 of a mile (500 m) after a
reset, the display shows “– –.”
The average fuel consumption is also rest in
the lower display. For additional information,
refer to the separate INFINITI InTouch
TM
Owner’s Manual.
4. Navigation (if so equipped)
When the route guidance is set in the naviga-
tion system, this item shows the navigation
route information.
5. Audio
The audio mode shows the status of audio
information.
6. Driving Aids
The driving aids mode shows the operating
condition for the following systems (if so
equipped):

7. Tire Pressures
The tire pressure mode shows the pressure of
all four tires while the vehicle is driven.

When the “Tire Pressure Low — Add Air” or
“Flat Tire — Visit dealer” warning appears, the
display can be switched to the tire pressure
mode by pushing the
orswitch to
reveal additional details on the displayed
warning.

8. Chassis Control
The chassis control mode displays the status
of the Active Trace Control, Active Engine
Brake, and Active Ride Control.

9. Oil control system
Engine oil information informs the distance
to oil change. Never exceed one year or 7500
miles (12000 km) between oil change
intervals.

The oil change interval cannot be adjusted
manually.
The distance to oil change interval is calcu-
lated depending on the driving conditions and
set automatically by the oil control system.
CAUTION
If the oil replacement indicator is displayed,
change the engine oil within two weeks or
less than 500 miles (800 km).
Operating the vehicle with deteriorated oil
can damage the engine. To reset oil control system:
1. Place the ignition switch in the “ON”
position.
2. Push the trip computer switches
andlocated on the right side of the steer-
ing wheel to change the display.
3. Select the Engine Oil Service due in xxx miles display.
4. Push and hold the
orswitch for
longer than 1 second. Hold until the re-
maining distance changes to – – – miles
(km).
10. Variable Compression Turbo
Your engine is equipped with a variable com-
pression ratio system called “Variable Com-
pression Turbo”. This system can vary the
engine compression ratio continuously.
According to driving conditions, the system
applies optimum compression ratio auto-
matically to achieve both high output and
high fuel economy efficiency.
This is not a physical gauge. It is a display
option in the vehicle information display that
can be selected. For additional information,
see “Vehicle information display” (P. 2-19).

1Compression ratio status display
Displays the status of compression ratio
controlled by Variable Compression
Turbo. The lowest compression ratio
(8:1) and the highest (14:1) are displayed
as “Power” and ”Eco” respectively.
2Turbo charger boost pressure gauge
Displays the turbo charger boost
pressure.
NOTE:
Under some conditions, the compression ra-
tio may not change. This is not a malfunction
of the system.
CAUTION
If the Variable Compression Turbo be-
comes faulty, the Malfunction Indicator
Light (MIL) may come on. For additional
information, see “Malfunction Indicator
Light (MIL)” (P. 2-15).
11. ProPILOT Assist
The ProPILOT Assist mode shows operating
conditions for the following systems:
• Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC)
• Steering Assist The display will also be shown when the Pro-
PILOT Assist is turned on. For additional in-
formation, see “ProPILOT Assist” (P. 5-73).
12. Traffic Sign Recognition (if so
equipped)
The Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) system
provides the driver with information about
the most recently detected speed limit.

13. Compass
This display indicates the direction the vehicle
is heading.
RESETTING THE TRIP
COMPUTER
1. Press thebutton until you reach the
trip computer mode.
2. Press the
button again for more
than 1.5 seconds to reset average fuel
consumption, average speed, distance to
empty, and journey time.
TIRE PRESSURE INFORMATION
(Display Settings)
The tire pressure mode shows the pressure of
all four tires while the vehicle is driven.
When the “Tire Pressure Low-Add Air” or
“Flat Tire-Visit dealer” (if so equipped)
warning appears, the display can be switched
to the tire pressure mode by pushing the
orswitch on the steering wheel.
The tire pressure unit can be changed in the
lower display.
1. Touch the “Settings” key.
2. Select “Meter” and then select “TPMS settings”.

rate INFINITI InTouch™ Owner’s Manual.
NOTE:
After the ignition switch is placed in the ON
position, it may take a period of time for the
tire pressure to be displayed while the ve-
hicle is driven. Depending on the radio wave
circumstance, tire pressure may not cor-
rectly be displayed.

•When using a wheel without the TPMS
such as the spare tire, when a spare tire is
mounted or a wheel is replaced, tire pres-
sure will not be indicated, the TPMS will
not function and the low tire pressure
warning light will flash for approxi-
mately 1 minute. The light will remain on
after 1 minute. Have your tires replaced
and/or TPMS system reset as soon as
possible. It is recommended that you
visit an INFINITI retailer for this service.
• Replacing tires with those not originally
specified by INFINITI could affect the
proper operation of the TPMS.
• Do not inject any tire liquid or aerosol tire
sealant into the tires, as this may cause a
malfunction of the tire pressure sensors.
CAUTION
• The TPMS may not function properly
when the wheels are equipped with tire
chains or the wheels are buried in snow.
• Do not place metalized film or any metal
parts (antenna, etc.) on the windows.
This may cause poor reception of the sig-
nals from the tire pressure sensors, and
the TPMS will not function properly. Some devices and transmitters may tempo-
rarily interfere with the operation of the
TPMS and cause the low tire pressure
warning light to illuminate.
Some examples are:
• Facilities or electric devices using similar
radio frequencies are near the vehicle.
• If a transmitter set to similar frequencies is being used in or near the vehicle.
• If a computer (or similar equipment) or a DC/AC converter is being used in or near
the vehicle.
The low tire pressure warning light may illu-
minate in the following cases:
• If the vehicle is equipped with a wheel and tire without TPMS.
• If the TPMS has been replaced and the ID has not been registered.
• If the wheel is not originally specified by INFINITI.

RUN-FLAT TIRES
This vehicle is equipped with run-flat tires.
Run-flat tires can be used temporarily if they
are punctured. When the “Flat Tire — Visit
dealer” warning appears in the vehicle infor-
mation display, one or more of your tires is
punctured. For additional information, see
“Run-flat tires” (P. 8-36).
For additional information, refer to the tire
safety information in the Warranty Informa-
tion Booklet.
WARNING
• Although you can continue driving with a
punctured run-flat tire, remember that
vehicle handling stability is reduced,
which could lead to an accident and per-
sonal injury. Also, driving a long distance
at high speeds may damage the tires.
• Do not drive at speeds above 50 mph (80
km/h) and do not drive more than ap-
proximately 93 miles (150 km) with a
punctured run-flat tire. The actual dis-
tance the vehicle can be driven on a flat
tire depends on outside temperature, ve-
hicle load, road conditions and other
factors.
• Drive safely at reduced speeds. Avoid
hard cornering or braking, which may
cause you to lose control of the vehicle.
• If you detect any unusual sounds or vi-
brations while driving with a punctured
run-flat tire, pull off the road to a safe
location and stop the vehicle as soon as
possible. The tire may be seriously dam-
aged and need to be replaced.CAUTION
• Never install tire chains on a punctured
run-flat tire, as this could damage your
vehicle.
• Avoid diving over any projection or pot-
hole, as the clearance between the ve-
hicle and the ground is smaller than
normal.
• Do not enter an automated car wash
with a punctured run-flat tire.
• Have the punctured tire inspected by an
INFINITI retailer or other authorized re-
pair shop. Replace the tire as soon as
possible if the tire is seriously damaged.

Summer tires
INFINITI specifies summer tires on some
models to provide superior performance on
dry roads. Summer tire performance is sub-
stantially reduced in snow and ice. Summer
tires do not have the tire traction rating
“M&S” on the tire sidewall.
If you plan to operate your vehicle in snowy or
icy conditions, INFINITI recommends the use
of SNOW tires or ALL SEASON tires on all
four wheels.
Snow tires
If snow tires are needed, it is necessary to
select tires equivalent in size and load rating
to the original equipment tires. If you do not,
it can adversely affect the safety and han-
dling of your vehicle.
Generally, snow tires have lower speed rat-
ings than factory equipped tires and may not
match the potential maximum vehicle speed.
Never exceed the maximum speed rating of
the tire.
If you install snow tires, they must be the
same size, brand, construction and tread pat-
tern on all four wheels.
For additional traction on icy roads, studded
tires may be used. However, some U.S. statesand Canadian provinces prohibit their use.
Check local, state and provincial laws before
installing studded tires. Skid and traction ca-
pabilities of studded snow tires on wet or dry
surfaces may be poorer than that of non-
studded snow tires.
Run–flat tires
Your vehicle is equipped with run-flat tires
and is not equipped with a spare tire, or a jack
and tool kit. The jack and tool kit may be
purchased at the dealer. Please consult an
INFINITI retailer for additional information.
You can continue driving to a safe location
even if the run-flat tires are punctured. Al-
ways use run-flat tires of the specified size on
all four wheels. Mixing tire sizes or construc-
tion may reduce vehicle handling stability. If
necessary, it is recommended that you visit an
INFINITI retailer for this service.
Frequently check the tire pressure and adjust
pressure of each tire properly. The tire pres-
sure can be also checked in the vehicle infor-
mation display.
It can be difficult to tell if a run-flat tire is
under-inflated or flat. Check the tire pres-
sures as described in this section. If the tire
becomes under-inflated while driving, the
low tire pressure warning light will illuminate
and the “Tire Pressure Low – Add Air”warning appears in the vehicle information
display. If the tire becomes flat while driving,
the low tire pressure warning light and the
“Flat Tire – Visit dealer" warning will appear.
Low tire pressure:
If the vehicle is being driven with low tire
pressure, the low tire pressure warning light
will illuminate and the “Tire Pressure Low –
Add Air” warning appears in the vehicle infor-
mation display.
Flat tire:
If the vehicle is being driven with one or more
flat tires, the low tire pressure warning light
will illuminate continuously and a chime will
sound for 10 seconds. A “Flat-Tire – Visit
dealer" warning also appears in the vehicle
information display.
The chime will only sound at the first indica-
tion of a flat tire and the warning light will
illuminate continuously. When the flat tire
warning is activated, have the system reset
and the tire checked and replaced if neces-
sary. It is recommended that you visit an
INFINITI retailer for this service. Even if the
tire is inflated to the specified COLD tire
pressure, the warning light will continue to
illuminate until the system is reset. It is recom-
mended that you visit an INFINITI retailer for
this service.

•If the wheels are changed for any reason,
always replace with wheels which have
the same off-set dimension. Wheels of a
different off-set could cause premature
tire wear, degrade vehicle handling char-
acteristics, affect the VDC system
and/or interference with the brake
discs. Such interference can lead to de-
creased braking efficiency and/or early
brake pad wear. For additional informa-
tion on wheel off-set dimensions, see
“Wheels and tires” (P. 10-9).
• When using a wheel without the TPMS,
such as the spare tire, the TPMS will not
function and the low tire pressure
warning light will flash for approxi-
mately 1 minute. The light will remain on
after 1 minute. Have your tires replaced
and/or TPMS system reset as soon as

• The TPMS sensor may be damaged if it is
not handled correctly. Be careful when
handling the TPMS sensor. •
When replacing the TPMS sensor, the ID
registration may be required. It is recom-
mended that you visit an INFINITI re-
tailer for ID registration.
• Do not use a valve stem cap that is not
specified by INFINITI. The valve stem cap
may become stuck.
• Be sure that the valve stem caps are cor-
rectly fitted. Otherwise the valve may be
clogged up with dirt and cause a mal-
function or loss of pressure.
• Do not install a damaged or deformed
wheel or tire even if it has been repaired.
Such wheels or tires could have struc-
tural damage and could fail without
warning.
• The use of retread tires is not
recommended.

formation” (US) or “Tire Safety Informa-
tion” (Canada) in the Warranty Informa-
tion Booklet.
Wheel balance
Unbalanced wheels may affect vehicle han-
dling and tire life. Even with regular use,
wheels can get out of balance. Therefore,
they should be balanced as required. Wheel balance service should be performed
with the wheels off the vehicle. Spin balanc-
ing the wheels on the vehicle could lead to
mechanical damage.

Care of wheels
• Wash the wheels when washing the vehicle to maintain their appearance.
• Clean the inner side of the wheels when the wheel is changed or the underside of the
vehicle is washed.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners when wash- ing the wheels.
• Inspect wheel rims regularly for dents or corrosion. Such damage may cause loss of
pressure or poor seal at the tire bead.
• INFINITI recommends waxing the road wheels to protect against road salt in areas
where it is used during winter.
