Headlights with Wipers (Available with Auto
Headlights Only)
When this feature is active, the headlights will turn ON
approximately 10 seconds after the wipers are turned on
if the Multi-Function Control Lever (on the left side of the
steering column) is placed in the (A) AUTO position. In
addition, the headlights will turn OFF when the wipers
are turned off if they were turned on by this feature.
The Headlights with Wipers feature can be turned on or
off through the Electronic Vehicle Information Center
(EVIC) Ð if equipped. For details, refer to ºHeadlights
On with Wipers,º under ªPersonal Settings (Customer
Programmable Features),º under ªElectronic Vehicle In-
formation Centerº in Section 4 of this manual.
Rain Sensing Wipers Ð If Equipped
This feature senses moisture on the windshield and
automatically activates the wipers for the driver. This
feature is especially useful for road splash or over spray
from the windshield washers of the vehicle ahead. Rotate
the end of the Windshield Wiper / Washer Control Lever
to one of the five intermittent wiper settings to activate
this feature.
The sensitivity of the system is adjustable from the
Windshield Wiper / Washer Control Lever. Wiper delay
position 1 is the least sensitive and wiper delay position
5 is the most sensitive. Choose position 3 or 4 for normal
rain conditions. Choose position 2 or 1 if you desire less
wiper sensitivity. Choose position 5 if you desire more
sensitivity. Place the lever in the OFF position when not
using the system.

WARNING!
²Drivers must be careful when backing up even when
using the Rear Park Assist System. Always check
carefully behind your vehicle, look behind you, and
be sure to check for pedestrians, animals, other
vehicles, obstructions, and blind spots before back-
ing up. You are responsible for safety and must
continue to pay attention to your surroundings. Fail-
ure to do so can result in serious injury or death.
²Before using the Rear Park Assist System, it is
strongly recommended that the ball mount and hitch
ball assembly is disconnected from the vehicle when
the vehicle is not used for towing. Failure to do so
can result in injury or damage to vehicles or obstacles
because the hitch ball will be much closer to the
obstacle than the rear fascia when the warning dis-
play turns the red LEDs ON. Also, the sensors could
detect the ball mount and hitch ball assembly, de-
pending on its size and shape, giving a false indica-
tion that an obstacle is behind the vehicle.
Enabling & Disabling the System
There are times when you may want to disable the Rear
Park Assist System, such as when towing a trailer.
Vehicles Equipped With the Electronic Vehicle
Information Center (EVIC)
You can turn the Rear Park Assist System on or off
through the EVIC. For details, refer to ªPersonal Settings
(Customer Programmable Features)º under ªElectronic
Vehicle Information Center (EVIC)º in Section 4 of this
manual.
Vehicles Equipped with Rear Park Assist Switch
You can turn the Rear Park Assist System on or off by
pressing the Rear Park Assist switch located the lower
switch bank below the climate controls.

CAUTION!
²Never attempt to open or close the Sky Slidertwhen
it is frozen. Wait until the Sky Slidertis thawed
before operating.
²Opening the Sky Slidertwhen damp, wet, or dirty
can cause stains, mildew, and damage to the soft-top
material and the inside of your vehicle. Make sure
the Sky Slidertis dry before opening.
²Always close the Sky Slidertwhen leaving your
vehicle so as not to leave the interior exposed to
potentially damaging outdoor conditions.
²Do not leave the Sky Slidertopen for several weeks
at a time. Close it occasionally to prevent discolora-
tion in the folds of the fabric and to allow the creases
to smooth out. This is especially important if the Sky
Slidertwas opened when not completely dry.
Failure to follow these cautions can cause damage to the
Sky Slider, tvehicle contents, and the vehicle interior.
WARNING!
²In an accident, there is a greater risk of being thrown from a
vehicle with the Sky Slidertopen. Always fasten your seat belt
properly and make sure all passengers are properly secured too.
²Before operating the Sky Slider, tmake sure that no moving parts
of the Sky Slidertcan injure a person or animal.
²Never place any extremities (hands, feet, etc.) near the Sky Slidert
components or the roof area while operating the Sky Slider.t
²If potential danger exists while opening or closing the Sky Slidert
in Automatic Mode, press and release the switch immediately to
interrupt the operation.
²If potential danger exists while opening or closing the Sky Slidert
in Operator Mode, release the switch immediately to interrupt the
operation.
²Do not allow small children to operate the Sky Slider.t
²Never leave children in a vehicle, with the key in the ignition
switch. Occupants, particularly unattended children, can become
entrapped by the Sky Slidertwhile operating the Power Top
switch. Such entrapment may result in serious injury or death.
Failure to follow these warnings can result in injuries that are serious
or fatal to you, your passengers, and others around you.

CAUTION!
To avoid damage to the roof rack and vehicle, do not
exceed the maximum roof rack load capacity. Always
distribute heavy loads as evenly as possible and
secure the load appropriately.
Long loads, which extend over the windshield, such
as wood panels or surfboards, should be secured to
both the front and rear of the vehicle.
Place a blanket or other protection between the
surface of the roof and the load.
Travel at reduced speeds and turn corners carefully
when carrying large or heavy loads on the roof rack.
Wind forces, due to natural causes or nearby truck
traffic, can add sudden upward loads. This is espe-
cially true on large flat loads and may result in
damage to the cargo or your vehicle.
WARNING!
Cargo must be securely tied before driving your
vehicle. Improperly secured loads can fly off the
vehicle, particularly at high speeds, resulting in per-
sonal injury or property damage. Follow the roof rack
Cautions when carrying cargo on your roof rack.

significantly under-inflated tire causes the tire to over-
heat and can lead to tire failure. Under-inflation also
reduces fuel efficiency and tire tread life, and may affect
the vehicle's handling and stopping ability.
Please note that the TPMS is not a substitute for proper
tire maintenance, and it is the driver 's responsibility to
maintain correct tire pressure, even if under-inflation has
not reached the level to trigger illumination of the TPMS
low tire pressure telltale.
Your vehicle has also been equipped with a TPMS
malfunction indicator to indicate when the system is not
operating properly. The TPMS malfunction indicator is
combined with the low tire pressure telltale. When the
system detects a malfunction, the telltale will flash for
approximately one minute and then remain continuously
illuminated. This sequence will continue upon subse-
quent vehicle start-ups as long as the malfunction exists. When the malfunction indicator is illuminated, the sys-
tem may not be able to detect or signal low tire pressure
as intended. TPMS malfunctions may occur for a variety
of reasons, including the installation of replacement or
alternate tires or wheels on the vehicle that prevent the
TPMS from functioning properly. Always check the
TPMS malfunction telltale after replacing one or more
tires or wheels on your vehicle to ensure that the replace-
ment or alternate tires and wheels allow the TPMS to
continue to function properly. (See page 346 for more
information.)
