when the LIM switch is pressed and
the ISA is activated.

▼Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA) Display
The setting status of the ISA is displayed in the active driving display or the display in
the instrument cluster.

Displays when the speed limiter switch is operated and the system
is turned on.
Turns off when the system is turned off.
Setting display
Displays when the RES switch up (SET+) or down (SET-) is operated
(while the ISA set indication is displayed), and the speed is set.
Cancel display
Displays when any of the following operations is done and the sys-
tem is temporarily cancelled.
xCANCEL switch is operated xAccelerator pedal is strongly depressed xAny door is opened xThe driver’s seat belt is unfastened
Warning display
If the vehicle speed exceeds the set speed by about 5 km/h (3
mph) or more, the ISA display
flashes.
The display flashes until the vehicle speed decreases to the set
speed or less.
A warning beep is activated at the same time as the warning dis-
play.

▼Activation/Deactivation
NOTE
When the ignition is switched
off, the
system status before it was turned
off is
maintained.
For example, if the ignition is switched
off while the ISA is operating, the
system will be operable when the
ignition is switched ON the next time.
Activation
Press the LIM switch to activation the
system. The ISA screen is displayed,
and the ISA standby indication displays
in white.
Deactivation
Press the LIM switch again to
deactivation the system. The ISA screen
is no longer displayed and the ISA
indication does not display.

▼Setting the System
WARNING
Always verify the safety of the
surrounding area when setting the
ISA:
If the speed is set lower than the
current vehicle speed, the vehicle
speed is decreased to the set speed.
Verify the safety of the surrounding
area and keep a safer distance
between vehicles ahead and behind
you.
NOTE
xThe system is temporarily cancelled
when the vehicle is accelerated by
depressing the accelerator pedal
strongly, however, it resumes when
the vehicle speed decreases to the
set speed or less.
xThe vehicle speed may exceed the
set speed on a down slope.
xIn the following cases, the system
cannot be set.
xAny door is open. xThe driver's seat belt is unfastened. xThe ISA setting can be changed to
MANUAL, or OFF*1.

Mazda Connect Owner's Manual.
*1 When OFF is selected, the
Adjustable Speed Limiter (ASL) is
set.

How to set the speed limit using the
RES switch
1. Press the LIM switch to turn the
system on.
2. Press the RES switch up (SET+) or
down (SET-) to set the speed.
When the current vehicle speed is
30 km/h (19 mph) or more, the
speed is set to the current vehicle
speed. When the current vehicle
speed is less than 30 km/h (19
mph), the speed is set to 30 km/h
(19 mph).
3. To increase the set speed, press the
RES switch up (SET+) continuously.
The set speed can be adjusted in 10
km/h (5 mph) increments. The set
speed can also be adjusted in
about 1 km/h (1 mph) increments
by pressing the RES switch up (SET
+) momentary. For example, the set
speed increases about 4 km/h (4
mph) by pressing the RES switch up
(SET+) switch 4 times.
4. To decrease the set speed, press the
RES switch down (SET-)
continuously. The set speed can be
adjusted in 10 km/h (5 mph)
increments. The set speed can also
be adjusted in about 1 km/h (1
mph) increments by pressing the
RES switch down (SET-)
momentary. For example, the set
speed decreases about 4 km/h (4
mph) by pressing the RES switch
down (SET-) 4 times.
NOTE
xWhen the vehicle set speed is
displayed in the active driving
display/instrument cluster and speed
limit sign is not displayed, press the
RES switch to set the displayed
vehicle speed.

1. Press the LIM switch to turn the
system on.
2. Press the RES switch while the ISA
set indication is displayed on the
active driving display/instrument
