•If the Forward Sensing Camera (FSC) detects that the windscreen is dirty or foggy, the
system functions related to the Forward Sensing Camera (FSC) are temporarily stopped
and the following warning lights turn on. Ho wever, this does not indicate a problem.
Remove the dirt from the windscreen or press the defroster switch and defog the
windscreen.
•High Beam Control System (HBC) warning light (amber)
•Adaptive LED Headlights (ALH) warning light (amber)
•Lane-keep Assist System (LAS) & Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) warning
light
•Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop & Go function (MRCC with Stop & Go
function) warning indication
•Smart Brake Support/Smart City Brake Support (SBS/SCBS) warning light (amber)
•If there are recognizable cracks or damage caused by flying gravel or debris on the
windscreen, always have the windscreen replaced. Consult an Authorised Mazda Repairer
for replacement.
•(With Advanced Smar t City Brake Support (Advanced SCBS))
•The Forward Sensing Camera (FSC) recognises pedestrians when all of the following
conditions are met:
•The height of a pedestrian is about 1 to 2 meters.
•An outline such as the head, both shoulders, or the legs can be determined.
•In the following cases, the Forward Sensing Camera (FSC) may not be able to detect
target objects correctly:
•Multiple pedestrians are walking, or there are groups of people.
•A pedestrian is close to a separate object.
•A pedestrian is crouching, lying, or slouching.
•A pedestrian suddenly jumps into the road right in front of the vehicle.
•A pedestrian opens an umbrella, or is carrying large baggage or articles.
•A pedestrian is in a dark location such as during the night, or blends into the
background by wearing clothes matching the background colour.

â–¼Replacing Exterior Light Bulbs
Headlights, Running lights/Position
lights (Type A), Ru
nning lights (Type
A), Front fog lights*, Side direction
indicator lights, Bra ke lights (Type A),
Brake lights/Tail lights (Type A),
Reverse lights, High-mount brake light
The LED bulb cannot be replaced as a
single unit because it is an integrated unit.
The LED bulb has to be replaced with the
unit. We recommend an Authorised Mazda
Repairer when the replacement is
necessary.
Front direction indicator lights, Position
lights (Type B)
1. Make sure the ignition is switched off,
and the headlight switch is off.
2. Lift the bonnet. Refer to Bonnet on page 6-22.
3. Turn the socket and bulb assembly anticlockwise and remove it.
4. Disconnect the bulb from the socket. Front direction indicator lights
Position lights
5. Install the new bulb in the reverse
order of the removal procedure.
Running lights (Type B)
*
1. Make sure the ignition is switched off, and the headlight switch is off.
2. If you are changing the right bulb, start
the engine, turn the steering wheel all
the way to the left, and turn off engine.
If you are changing the left bulb, turn
the steering wheel to the right.
3. Pull the centre of each plastic retainer
using a flathead screwdriver and
remove the retainers, and then partially
peel back the over fender.

3. Pull the fuse straight out with the fusepuller provided on the fuse block
located in the eng ine compartment.
4. Inspect the fuse and replace it if it is
blown.

5. Insert a new fu
se of the same
amperage rating, and make sure it fits
tightly. If it does not fit tightly, have an
expert install it. We recommend an
Authorised Mazda Repairer.
If you have no spare fuses, borrow one
of the same rating from a circuit not
essential to vehicle operation, such as
the AUDIO or OUTLET circuit.
CAUTION
Always replace a fuse with a genuine
Mazda fuse or equivalent of the same
rating. Otherwise you may damage the
electric system.
6. Reinstall the cover and make sure that it is securely installed.
Replacing the fuse s under the bonnet
If the headlights or other electrical
components do not work and the fuses in
the cabin are normal, inspect the fuse
block under the bonnet. If a fuse is blown,
it must be replaced. Follow these steps:
1. Make sure the ignition is switched off,
and other switches are off.
2. Remove the fuse block cover.

When the light is turned on
A problem in the system may be i ndicated under the following conditions. Have your ve-

•The light does not turn on when the ignition is switched ON.•The light continues to remain on even though the i-stop OFF swi tch has been pressed
while the engine is running.
When the light is flashing
The light continues to flash if the system has a malfunction. H ave your vehicle inspected
at an expert repairer, we recommend an Authorised Mazda Repaire r.
i-ELOOP Warning
Indication*
The Warning indication turns on if there is any malfunction in the i-ELOOP system. Con-
sult an expert repairer, we reco mmend an Authorised Mazda Repai rer.

The light remains turned on if th ere is a problem with the system. Have your vehicle in-

problem with the system.

can detect, the system may pause (The Bli nd Spot Monitoring (BSM) OFF indicator light
in the instrument cluster illuminates). However, it does not indicate a malfunction.
