To turn the front fog lights on, rotate the switch to
theposition.
To turn them off, rotate the switch to the OFF
position.
The headlight switch must be in the
posi-
tion (low beam headlights on) for the fog lights to
operate. The fog lights automatically turn off
whenever the highbeam headlight function is se-
lected.Push the switch on to warn other drivers when
you must stop or park under emergency condi-
tions. All turn signal lights flash.WARNING
cWhen stalled or stopped on the road-
way under emergency conditions, move
the vehicle well off the road.
cDo not use the hazard warning flashers
while moving on the highway unless
unusual circumstances force you to
drive so slowly that your vehicle might
become a hazard to other traffic.cTurn signals do not work when the haz-
ard warning flasher lights are on.
The flashers will operate with the ignition switch
in any position.
Some state laws may prohibit the use of
the hazard warning flasher switch while
driving.

To turn on the cargo bed lamp, push the switch to
the ON position when the ignition key is turned to
the ACC, ON or START position. The indicator
light in the switch will illuminate.
The cargo lamp will turn off if the switch is pushed
to the off position or the ignition key is turned to
the LOCK position.To sound the horn, push the center pad area of
the steering wheel.
WARNING
Do not disassemble the horn. Doing so
could affect proper operation of the
supplemental front air bag system. Tam-
pering with the supplemental front air bag
system may result in serious personal
injury.The vehicle should be driven with the Vehicle
Dynamic Control System (VDC) on for most driv-
ing conditions.
When the vehicle is stuck in mud or snow, the
VDC system reduces the engine output to re-
duce wheel spin. The engine speed will be re-
duced even if the accelerator is depressed to the
floor. If maximum engine power is needed to free
a stuck vehicle, turn the VDC system off.
To turn off the VDC system, push the VDC OFF
switch. The
indicator will come on.
Push the VDC OFF switch again or restart the
engine and the system will operate normally. See
“Vehicle dynamic control system (VDC)” in the
“Starting and driving” section.

The power outlets are for powering electrical
accessories such as cellular telephones. They
are rated at 12 Volts 120 Watts maximum.

GLOVE BOX
Open the glove box by pulling the handle. When
locking
s1or unlockings2the glove box, use the
master key.
WARNING
Keep glove box lid closed while driving to
help prevent injury in an accident or a
sudden stop.
CONSOLE BOX
WARNING
The center console box should not be
used while driving so full attention may be
given to vehicle operation.
CAUTION
cThis power outlet is not designed for
use with a cigarette lighter unit.
cDo not use accessories that exceed 12
volt, 120W (10A) power draw. Do not use
double adapters or more than one elec-
trical accessory.
Upper half
Pull up on the lever to open the upper half of the
console box. The rubber mat may be removed for
cleaning.
The upper half of the console box may be used for
storage of cellular phones. An access hole is
provided at the bottom of the upper half of the
console box for phone cord routing to the power
socket.
To route a phone cord to the power socket:
1. Open the upper half of the console box.
2. Remove the rubber mat, and then remove
the cutout area from the mat.

The side windows can be opened or closed by
turning the hand crank on each door.

the window open

operates regardless of ignition key position.

On some King Cab models, the dome light can
be used as a cargo light by simply pulling the light
down. This light is convenient at night when load-
ing cargo.
For information regarding interior light bulb re-
placement, refer to “Bulb replacement” in the
“Maintenance and do-it-yourself” section of this
manual.
CAUTION
Leaving the dome light switch in the ON
position for extended periods of time will
result in a discharged battery.

To turn the map lights on, press the switches. To
turn them off, press the switches again.
CAUTION
Do not use for extended periods of time
with the engine stopped. This could result
in a discharged battery.The interior lights illuminate when a front or rear
door (Crew Cab only) is opened. Once the doors
are closed, these lights turn off in 30 seconds or
turn off immediately when the key is turned to the
ON position.
BATTERY SAVER
If the vehicle doors are not fully closed and the
interior lights remain illuminated, they eventually
turn off automatically to prevent the battery from
becoming discharged. Interior lights that illumi-
nate when doors are opened turn off after ap-
proximately 30 minutes.

CHILD SAFETY REAR DOOR LOCK
(Crew Cab models only)
Child safety locks help prevent the rear doors
from being opened accidentally, especially when
small children are in the vehicle.
The child safety lock levers are located on the
edge of the rear doors.
When the lever is in the lock position, the
door can be opened only from the outside.It is possible to lock/unlock all doors, turn the
interior light on, and activate the panic alarm by
using the keyfob from outside the vehicle.
Be sure to remove the key from the vehicle
before locking the doors.
The keyfob can operate at a distance of approxi-
mately 33 ft (10 m) from the vehicle. The effective
distance depends on the conditions around the
vehicle.
As many as 4 keyfobs can be used with one
vehicle. For information concerning the purchase
and use of additional keyfobs, contact a NISSAN
dealer.
CAUTION
Listed below are conditions or occur-
rences which will damage the keyfob:
cDo not allow the keyfob to become wet.
cDo not drop the keyfob.
cDo not strike the keyfob sharply against
another object.
cDo not place the keyfob for an extended
period in an area where temperatures
exceed 140°F (60°C) .
HOW TO USE REMOTE KEYLESS

Locking doors
1. Close all windows.
2. Remove the key from the ignition switch.
3. Close the hood and all doors
4. Push the
button on the keyfob. All
the doors lock. The hazard lights flash twice
and the horn beeps once to indicate all
doors are locked.

minder that the doors are already locked.
The horn may or may not beep once.
Refer to “Silencing the horn beep fea-
ture” later in this section for details.
cIf a door is open and you push
the
button, the doors will lock
but the horn will not beep and the hazard
lights will not flash.
Unlocking doors
Push thebutton on the keyfob once.
cOnly the driver’s door unlocks.
cThe interior lights illuminate for 30 seconds
when the interior light switch is in O or DOOR
position.
Push the
button on the keyfob again with 5
seconds.
cAll doors unlock.
The interior lights can be turned off without wait-
ing 30 seconds by inserting the key into the
ignition and turning to the ON or START position,locking the doors with the keyfob or pushing the
interior light switch to the OFF position.
Auto relock
When thebutton on the keyfob is pushed,
all doors will lock automatically within 5 minutes
unless one of the following operations is per-
formed:
cAny door is opened.
cA key is inserted into the ignition switch and
the key is turned from OFF to ON.

Using the panic alarm
If you are near your vehicle and feel threatened,
you may activate the panic alarm to call attention
by pushing and holding the
button on the
keyfob forlonger than 0.5 second.
The panic alarm and headlights will stay on for 30
seconds.
The panic alarm stops when:
cit has run for 30 seconds, or
cthe
orbutton is pushed on the
keyfob.
Silencing the horn beep feature
If desired, the horn beep feature can be deacti-
vated using the keyfob.
To deactivate:Press and hold the
andbuttonsfor at least 2 seconds.
The hazard lights will flash three times to confirm
that the horn beep feature has been deactivated.
To activate:Press and hold the
andbuttonsfor at least 2 seconds
once more.The hazard lights will flash once and the horn will
sound once to confirm that the horn beep feature
has been reactivated.
Deactivating the horn beep feature does not si-
lence the horn if the alarm is triggered.
