ing a vehicle from mud or snow.
WARNING/INDICATOR LIGHTS
(other)
For additional information on warnings
and indicators, see “Vehicle information
display–7 inch (18 cm) Type A” (P. 2-22) or
“Vehicle information display—12.3 inch (31
cm) Type B” (P. 2-45).
Automatic brake hold
indicator light (white/green)
(if so equipped)
The automatic brake hold indicator light
(white) illuminates when the automatic
brake hold system is on standby.
The automatic brake hold indicator light
(green) illuminates when the automatic
brake hold system is operating.
For additional information, see “Automatic
brake hold” (P. 5-25).
Front fog light indicator
light (green) (if so
equipped)
The front fog light indicator light illumi-
nates when the front fog lights are on. For
additional information, see “Fog light

High Beam Assist indicator
light (green) (if so equipped)
This indicator light illuminates when the
headlights come on while the headlight
switch is in the AUTO position with the high
beams selected and the engine running.
This indicates that the high beam assist is
operational.
For additional information, see “Headlight
and turn signal switch” (P. 2-78).
High beam indicator light
(blue) (if so equipped)
This blue light comes on when the head-
light high beams are on and goes out when
the low beams are selected.
The high beam indicator light also comes

Electric shif t control
system indicator
This indicator appears when a malfunction
occurs in the electric shif t control system.
When the master warning indicator ap-
pears, the chime sounds and the following
message is displayed in the vehicle infor-
mation display: “When parked apply park-
ing brake”.
When the ignition is placed in the OFF posi-
tion, the chime sounds continuously. En-
sure the parking brake is applied
Have the system checked. It is recom-
mended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for
this service.
Front fog light indicator
(green)
The front fog light indicator appears when
the front fog lights are on. For additional
information, see “Fog light switch” (P. 2-84).
Headlight System Error: See Owner’s
Manual
This warning appears when there is an er-
ror with the system. For additional informa-
tion, see “Headlight and turn signal switch”
(P. 2-78).
High Beam Assist indicator
(green)
This indicator appears when the head-
lights come on while the headlight switch
is in the AUTO position with the high beams
selected and the engine running. This indi-

operational.
For additional information, see “Headlight
and turn signal switch” (P. 2-78).

Follow me home lighting (if so
equipped)
The follow me home feature allows you to
provide lighting from the vehicle af ter the
ignition switch has been placed in the OFF
position. Pulling the headlight stalk toward
you once will activate the headlights for
approximately 30 seconds. Af ter that pe-
riod of time, it will automatically switch off. It
is possible to pull the headlight stalk up to
four times to increase the lighting period
up to 2 minutes.
NOTE:
The follow me home feature can be can-
celed by placing the ignition switch in
the ON position.Headlight beam select
1To select the high beam function, push
the lever forward while the low beams
are on. The high beam lights come on
and the
indicator light illuminates.
2Pull the lever back to return to the low
beam.
3Pulling and releasing the lever flashes
the headlight high beams on and off.
The low beams do not need to be on
for this to function.
High Beam Assist
The High Beam Assist system will operate
when the vehicle is driven at speeds of ap-
proximately 25 mph (40 km/h) and above.
If an oncoming vehicle or leading vehicle
appears in front of your vehicle when the
headlight high beam is on, the headlight
will be switched to the low beam
automatically.
WARNING
• The High Beam Assist system is a
convenience but it is not a substitute
for safe driving operation. The driver
should remain alert at all times, en-
sure safe driving practices and
switch the high beams and low beam
manually when necessary.
• The high beam or low beam may not
switch automatically under the fol-
lowing conditions. Switch the high
beam and low beam manually.
– During bad weather (rain, fog,
snow, wind, etc.).
– When a light source similar to a
headlight or tail light is in the vi-
cinity of the vehicle.

Move the lever up or down until the turn
signal begins to flash, but the lever does
not latch, and release the lever. The turn
signal will automatically flash three times.

a lane change based on road and traffic
conditions.
FOG LIGHT SWITCH (if so

•The I-LI system will not operate at
speeds below approximately 37 mph
(60 km/h) or if it cannot detect lane
markers.
• Do not use the I-LI system under the
following conditions as it may not
function properly:
– During bad weather (rain, fog,
snow, etc.).
– When driving on slippery roads,
such as on ice or snow.
– When driving on winding or un-
even roads.
– When there is a lane closure due to
road repairs.
– When driving in a makeshif t or
temporary lane.
– When driving on roads where the
lane width is too narrow.
– When driving without normal tire
conditions (for example, tire wear,
low tire pressure, installation of
spare tire, tire chains, non-
standard wheels).
– When the vehicle is equipped with
nonoriginal brake parts or sus-
pension parts. –
When you are towing a trailer or
other vehicle.
– On roads where there are multiple
parallel lane markers; lane mark-
ers that are faded or not painted
clearly; yellow painted lane mark-
ers; non-standard lane markers;
or lane markers covered with wa-
ter, dirt, snow, etc.
– On roads where discontinued lane
markers are still detectable.
– On roads where there are sharp
curves.
–
On roads where there are sharply contrasting objects, such as shad-
ows, snow, water, wheel ruts, seams
or lines remaining af ter road re-
pairs. (The I-LI system could detect
these items as lane markers.)
– On roads where the traveling lane
merges or separates.
– When the vehicle’s traveling direc-
tion does not align with the lane
marker.
– When traveling close to the ve-
hicle in front of you, which ob-
structs the lane camera unit de-
tection range. –
When rain, snow or dirt adheres to
the windshield in front of the lane
camera unit.
– When the headlights are not
bright due to dirt on the lens or if
the aiming is not adjusted
properly.
– When strong light enters the lane
camera unit. (For example, the
light directly shines on the front of
the vehicle at sunrise or sunset.)
– When a sudden change in bright-
ness occurs. (For example, when
the vehicle enters or exits a tunnel
or under a bridge.)
While the I-LI system is operating, you may
hear a sound of brake operation. This is
normal and indicates that the I-LI system is
operating properly.
