Opening
After unlocking the vehicle using the
remote control or the key, with the
rear screen closed, pull on the han-
dle A and raise the tailgate.

when the engine is running ,
this warning lamp comes on,
accompanied by a message
on the multifunction screen
for a few seconds,

when the vehicle is moving (speed
above 6 mph (10 km/h)), this warning
lamp comes on, accompanied by an
audible signal and a message on the
multifunction screen for a few seconds.
Closing
Lower the tailgate using the interior
grab handle.
If the tailgate is not closed correctly:
REAR SCREEN (SW)
Opening
After unlocking the vehicle using the
remote control or the key, with the boot
closed, press the control B and raise
the rear screen using the base C of the
wiper arm.
The boot and the rear screen can-
not both be open at the same time.
If the rear wiper is in a wiping posi-
tion, the rear screen will not open
until the end of the cycle. Closing
Close the rear screen by pressing at
the centre of the glass.
If the rear screen is not closed correctly:

when the engine is running ,

accompanied by a message
on the multifunction screen
for a few seconds,

when the vehicle is moving (speed

If the rear screen is open, the central
locking does not take place.

STATIC DIRECTIONAL
LIGHTING
When the dipped or main beam head-
lamps are on, this function enables the
beam to light the inside of the turn with
an additional angle of approximately 30°.
The use of this lighting is optimum above
all at low and average speed (city dri-
v i n g , w i n d i n g r o a d s , . . . ) .

Switching on
The system is switched on from a cer-
tain speed and a certain angle of rota-
tion of the steering wheel.
Operating fault The function is activated or
deactivated via the multi-
f u n c t i o n s c r e e n c o n fi g u r a -
tion menu.
This function is activated
by default.
In the event of a malfunction,
t h i s w a r n i n g l a m p fl a s h e s o n
the instrument panel, accom-
panied by a message on the
multifunction screen.
Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer.
Switching off
The system is switched off below a
certain angle of rotation of the steering
wheel.
It is switched off when reverse gear is
engaged.
HEADLAMP ADJUSTMENT
T h i s p o s i t i o n i s s u f fi c i e n t t o a v o i d
causing dazzle.
Higher settings may limit the spread
of light from the headlamps.
The initial setting is position
"0" .
To avoid causing a nuisance to other
road users, the height of the headlam-
ps should be adjusted in relation to the
load in the vehicle.

CHANGING A WHEEL *
Procedure for changing a faulty wheel
for the spare wheel using the tools pro-
vided with the vehicle.
The tools are installed in the boot under
t h e fl o o r .

open the boot,
r a i s e t h e fl o o r ,
s e c u r e i t b y h o o k i n g t h e c o r d ( s ) o n
t h e h o o k ( s ) o n t h e r e a r p a r c e l s h e l f
support,
r e m o v e t h e b o x c o n t a i n i n g t h e
tools.

1. Wheelbrace.
For removing the wheel trim and r e m o v i n g t h e w h e e l fi x i n g b o l t s .
2. Jack with integral handle.
For raising the vehicle.

"Bolt cover" tool.
For removing the bolt protectors ( c o v e r s ) o n a l l o y w h e e l s .
4.
Socket for the security bolts
( l o c a t e d i n t h e g l o v e b o x ) .
For adaptating the wheelbrace to the special "security" bolts.
5. Removable towing eye.
Refer to the paragraph "Towing

Other accessories
Wheel with trim
When removing the wheel ,
d e t a c h t h e t r i m fi r s t u s i n g t h e
wheelbrace 1 pulling at the valve
passage hole.
W h e n r e fi t t i n g t h e w h e e l , r e fi t t h e
trim starting by placing its notch
facing the valve and press around
its edge with the palm of your
hand.
A l l o f t h e s e t o o l s a r e s p e c i fi c t o y o u r
vehicle. Do not use them for other
purposes.

Access to the spare wheel
(Saloon)
The spare wheel is installed in the boot
u n d e r t h e fl o o r .
To gain access to it, refer to the para-
graph "Access to the tools" on the previ-
ous page. Fitting the steel spare wheel
I f y o u r v e h i c l e i s fi t t e d w i t h a l -
loy wheels, it is normal to notice,
w h e n t i g h t e n i n g t h e b o l t s o n fi t t i n g ,
that the washers do not come into
contact with the steel spare wheel.
The wheel is secured by the coni-
cal contact of each bolt. Taking out the wheel
Unscrew the yellow central bolt.
Raise the spare wheel towards you
from the rear.
Take the wheel out of the boot.
Putting the wheel back in place
Put the wheel back in its housing.
Unscrew the yellow central bolt by a
few turns then put it in place in the
centre of the wheel.
Tighten fully until the central bolt
clicks to retain the wheel correctly.

Access to the spare wheel (SW)
The spare wheel is installed in the boot
u n d e r t h e fl o o r .
To gain access to it, refer to the para-
graph "Access to the tools". Fitting the steel spare wheel

loy wheels, it is normal to notice,
w h e n t i g h t e n i n g t h e b o l t s o n fi t t i n g ,

TOWING THE VEHICLE
Procedure for having your vehicle towed
or for towing another vehicle using a re-
movable towing eye.
Access to the tools Towing your vehicle
On the front bumper, pull on the cov-
er to unclip it.
Screw the towing eye in fully.
Install the towing bar.
Switch on the hazard warning lamps
on the towed vehicle.
On the rear bumper, unclip the cover
by pressing at the bottom.
Screw the towing eye in fully.
Install the towing bar.
Switch on the hazard warning lamps
on the towed vehicle.
Towing another vehicle
The towing eye is stowed in the boot
u n d e r t h e fl o o r .
T o g a i n a c c e s s t o i t :
open the boot,
r a i s e t h e fl o o r ,
secure it by hooking its cord on the
hook on the rear parcel shelf support,
remove the towing eye from the
holder. When towing with all four wheels
on the ground, always use a tow-
ing bar.
When towing with only two wheels
on the ground, always use profes-
sional lifting equipment.
When towing with the engine off,
there is no longer any braking or
steering assistance.
Place the gear lever in neutral
(position N on the 2 Tronic or
a u t o m a t i c g e a r b o x ) .
Failure to comply with this special
requirement may result in damage
to certain braking components and
the absence of braking assistance
