INSTRUMENT PANELS
Panel grouping together the vehicle operation indication dials and warning lights.
Dials
1. Rev counter.
Indicates the speed of rotation of the engine (x 1 000 rpm).
2. Coolant temperature.
Indicates the temperature of the en- gine coolant (° Celsius).
3. Fuel level.
Indicates the quantity of fuel remain- ing in the tank.
4. Vehicle speed.
Indicates the current speed of the moving vehicle (km/h or mph).
5. Display.
6. Display zero reset or service indi-
cator re-display button.
Resets the selected function to zero (trip distance recorder or service
indicator) or displays the service in-
dicator again.
7. Instrument panel lighting rheostat.
Adjusts the brightness of the light- ing of the instruments and controls,
if the lights are on.

Engine autodiagnostics system
fi x e d . The emission control system is faulty.
This light should switch off when the engine is started.
If it does not switch off, contact a P E U G E O T d e a l e r .
fl a s h i n g .
The engine management system is faulty, there is a risk of destruction of the catalytic converter.
You must stop immediately where it is safe to do so.
Park, switch off the ignition and contact a P E U G E O T d e a l e r .
Low fuel level fi x e d w i t h t h e n e e d l e in the red zone. The fuel tank contains approximately 5 litres.
Depending on your style of driving and your engine, you have enough fuel left to drive approximately 30 miles (50 km).
Fill your fuel tank as soon as possible. Capacity approximately 60 litres.
Never continue to drive until you run out of fuel, this could damage the emission control and injection systems.
Coolant temperature fi x e d w i t h t h e n e e d l e in the red zone. The temperature of the cooling system is too high.
You must stop immediately where it is safe to do so.
Wait until the engine has cooled down before topping up the level, if necessary.
If the problem persists, park, switch off t h e i g n i t i o n a n d c a l l a P E U G E O T d e a l e r .
Engine oil pressure fi x e d . The engine lubrication circuit is faulty.
You must stop immediately where it is safe to do so.
Park, switch off the ignition and contact a P E U G E O T d e a l e r .
Battery charge fi x e d .
The battery charging circuit is faulty (dirty or loose terminals, slack or cut alternator belt, ...).
This light should switch off when the engine is started.
If it does not switch off, contact a P E U G E O T d e a l e r .

Once the "Options" menu has been
selected, you can start diagnostics of
the status of the equipment (active, not
active, faulty).
Languages
Once the "Languages" menu has been
selected, you can change the language
used by the display (Français, Italiano,
Nederlands, Portugues, Portugues-Brasil,
Türkçe, Deutsch, English, Espanol).
Display settings
Once the "Display settings" menu has
been selected, you can gain access to
the following settings:
- year,
- month,
- day,
- hour,
- minutes,
- 12 or 24 hour mode. Units
Once the "Units" menu has been se-
lected, you can change the units of the
following parameters:
- temperature (°C or °F),
- fuel consumption (l/100 km, mpg or
km/l).
Once you have selected a setting,
press the "OK" button to change its
value.
Wait for approximately ten seconds
without any action to allow the changed
data to be recorded or press the "ESC" button to cancel.
The display then returns to the normal
display.
O n c e t h e " V e h i c l e c o n fi g u r a t i o n " m e n u
has been selected, you can activate or
deactivate the following equipment:
- wiper linked with reverse gear (refer
to the "Visibility" section),
- selective unlocking (refer to the "Accesses" section),

"follow-me-home" and welcome light-

- ambient lighting (refer to the "Visibility" section),
- daytime lights (refer to the "Visibility" section),
- directional headlamps (refer to the "Visibility" section),

Display settings
Once the "Display settings" menu has
been selected, you can gain access to

REAR SCREEN DE-ICING
Switch off the de-icing of
the rear screen and exte-
rior mirrors as soon as you
consider this necessary as
lower current consumption
results in reduced fuel con-
sumption.
S w i t c h i n g o n
The rear screen de-icing can only ope-
rate when the engine is running.
Press this button to de-ice the rear
screen and the exterior mirrors. The
indicator light associated with the
button comes on.
S w i t c h i n g o f f
The de-icing switches off automatically
to prevent an excessive consumption of
current.
It is possible to stop the de-icing
operation before it is switched off
automatically by pressing the button
again. The indicator light associated
with the button switches off.
5. Air conditioning On/Off
The air conditioning is designed
to operate effectively in all sea-
sons, with the windows closed.
It enables you to:
- lower the temperature, in summer,
- increase the effectiveness of the demisting in winter, above 0 °C.

ated indicator light comes on.

The key cannot be removed
from the lock until the cap is
put back on the tank.
Opening the cap may trigger a vacu-
um. This is demonstrated by a noise
which is caused by the sealing of the
fuel circuit.
FUEL TANK
Capacity of the tank: approximately
60 litres. T o fi l l t h e t a n k s a f e l y :
it is essential that the engine is
switched off,
o p e n t h e f u e l fi l l e r fl a p ,
insert the key in the cap, then turn it
to the left,
W h e n fi l l i n g i s c o m p l e t e :
put the cap back in place,
turn the key to the right, then remove
it from the cap,
c l o s e t h e fl a p .
remove the cap and secure it on the
hook, located on the inside of the
fl a p ,
fi l l t h e t a n k , b u t do not continue
after the 3rd cut-off of the nozzle ;
this could cause malfunctions.
Low fuel level
Operating fault
A fuel gauge malfunction is indicated by
the return of the fuel level indicator nee-
dle to zero.
Consult a PEUGEOT dealer.
Filling
A l a b e l a f fi x e d t o t h e i n s i d e o f t h e fl a p
reminds you of the type of fuel to be
used according to your engine.
More than 5 litres of fuel must be add-
ed in order to be registered by the fuel
gauge.
When the fuel tank minimum level
is reached (approximately 5 litres),
this warning light comes on on the
instrument panel, accompanied by
an audible signal and a message
on the multifunction display.
You have enough fuel left to drive
approximately 30 miles (50 km).
If you run out of fuel (Diesel),
refer to the "Checks - § Run-
ning out of fuel" section also.

All-terrain mode (mud, wet grass, ...)
Mode which, when moving off, permits
considerable skidding on the wheel with
the least grip to favour clearing of the
mud and regain "grip". At the same time,
the wheel with the most grip is control-
led in such a way as to pass as much
torque as possible.
When moving, the system optimises the
skidding to respond to the driver's re-
quirements as fully as possible. Sand mode
Mode which permits little skidding on
the two driving wheels at the same time
to allow the vehicle to move forward
and limit the risks of getting stuck in the
sand.
Driving advice
Your vehicle is designed prin-
cipally to drive on tarmacked
roads but it allows you to drive on other
less passable terrain occasionally.
However, it does not permit all-ter-
rain activities such as:
- crossing and driving on terrain which could damage the under-
frame or strip away components
(fuel pipe, fuel cooler, ...) due to
obstacles or stones in particular,
- driving on terrain with steep gra- dients and poor grip,
- crossing a stream.
