MULTIFUNCTION DISPLAYS
General menu "Audio functions" menu
Press the "MENU" button to gain
access to the general menu :
- audio functions,
- vehicle diagnostics,
- p e r s o n a l i s a t i o n - c o n fi g u r a t i o n ,
- telephone (hands-free kit).
Press the " " or " " buttons to select
t h e m e n u r e q u i r e d , t h e n c o n fi r m b y
pressing the "OK" button.
With the WIP Sound switched on, once
t h i s m e n u h a s b e e n s e l e c t e d y o u c a n
activate or deactivate the functions
linked with use of the radio (RDS, REG,
RadioText), the CD or the CD changer
( i n t r o s c a n , s h u f fl e , C D r e p e a t ) .
For further details concerning the
"Audio functions" application, refer to
the WIP Sound part of the "Audio and
Telematics" section.
MONOCHROME SCREEN C (WITH WIP SOUND)
Displays on the screen
T h i s d i s p l a y s t h e f o l l o w i n g i n f o r m a t i o n :
- the time,
- the date,
- t h e o u t s i d e t e m p e r a t u r e ( t h i s fl a s h e s if there is a risk of ice),
- the status of the accesses (doors, boot...),
- the audio sources (radio, CD...),
- the trip computer (refer to the end of the section).
Warning messages (e.g.: "Emission
c o n t r o l s y s t e m f a u l t y " ) o r i n f o r m a t i o n
messages (e.g.: "Automatic switching
o n o f t h e h e a d l a m p s a c t i v a t e d " ) m a y
a p p e a r t e m p o r a r i l y . T h e s e c a n b e
c l e a r e d b y p r e s s i n g t h e "ESC" button. Controls
F r o m t h e W I P S o u n d c o n t r o l p a n e l , y o u
can:
press the "MENU" button to gain
access to the general menu ,
press the " " or " " buttons to scroll
through the items on the screen,
press the "MODE" button to change
the permanent application (trip
computer, audio source...),
press the " " or " " buttons to
change a setting value,
press the "OK" b u t t o n t o c o n fi r m ,
or
press the "ESC" button to abandon
the operation in progress.

"Vehicle diagnostics"
menu
Press the "MENU" button to gain
access to the general menu.
Press the arrows, then the "OK"
button to select the " Vehicle
diagnostics " menu.
On the " Vehicle diagnostics
" menu,
select the following application:
Warnings log
This summarises the active warning mes-
s a g e s , d i s p l a y i n g t h e m i n s u c c e s s i o n o n
t h e m u l t i f u n c t i o n d i s p l a y .
Once this menu has been selected,
y o u c a n c o n s u l t i n f o r m a t i o n c o n c e r n i n g
the status of the vehicle, such as the
warnings log.

O n c e t h i s m e n u h a s b e e n s e l e c t e d , y o u
can activate or deactivate the following
equipment:
- selective unlocking (refer to the
"Access" section),
- "follow-me-home" and welcome l i g h t i n g ( r e f e r t o t h e " V i s i b i l i t y "
section),
- ambient lighting (refer to the " V i s i b i l i t y " s e c t i o n ) ,
- d a y t i m e l i g h t s ( r e f e r t o t h e " V i s i b i l i t y " section). "Personalisation-

QUESTION SOLUTION RESPONSE
The TRAFFIC INFO box is ticked. However, c e r t a i n t r a f fi c j a m s along the route are not indicated in real time.
On starting, it is several minutes before the system begins to receive the t r a f fi c i n f o r m a t i o n .
W a i t u n t i l t h e t r a f fi c i n f o r m a t i o n i s b e i n g r e c e i v e d c o r r e c t l y ( d i s p l a y i n g o f t h e t r a f fi c i n f o r m a t i o n s y m b o l s o n t h e m a p ) .
I n c e r t a i n c o u n t r i e s , o n l y m a j o r r o u t e s ( m o t o r w a y s , . . . ) a r e l i s t e d f o r t h e t r a f fi c i n f o r m a t i o n .
The time taken to calculate a route sometimes seems longer than usual.
This phenomenon is normal. The system is d e p e n d e n t o n t h e t r a f fi c i n f o r m a t i o n a v a i l a b l e .
The performance of the system may slow down tempor arily if a CD is being copied onto the Jukebox at the same time as a route is being calculated.
Wait until the CD has been copied or stop the copying before starting the guidance function.
Does the emergency call function work without a SIM card?
No, European regulations impose the presence of a SIM card in order to make an emergency call. Insert a valid SIM card in the slot on your WIP Com.
My SIM card is not recognised. The audio equipment accepts 3.3 V SIM cards, the o ld 5 V and 1.8 V SIM cards are not recognised. Contact your telephone operator.
After changing a wheel, the system loses its location.
Your WIP Com uses the wheel rotation information to improve the GPS l o c a t i n g f u n c t i o n . I f a w h e e l i s c h a n g e d o r d e fl a t e s s u d d e n l y , t h e s y s t e m recalculates the location. For approximately ten mi nutes, this recalculation may affect the quality of the locating function.
Wait until the system has completed its recalculation.

The location on the map is incorrect or inaccurate.
The altitude is not displayed.
On starting, the initialisation of the GPS may take up to 3 minutes to receive more than 3 satellites correctly.
Wait until the system has started up completely. Check that there is a GPS coverage of at least 3 satellites (long press on the MENU button, then select AUDIO/TELEPHONE DIAGNOSTICS, then G P S C O V E R A G E ) .
D e p e n d i n g o n t h e g e o g r a p h i c a l e n v i r o n m e n t ( t u n n e l , . . . ) o r t h e w e a t h e r , the conditions of reception of the GPS signal may vary.
This phenomenon is normal. The system is dependent on the conditions of reception of the GPS signal.
