Carrying long or voluminous objects
If you want to drive with the boot open, you
should press the central locking button
to lock the doors. Other wise, every time
the speed of the vehicle exceeds 6 mph
(10 km/h), the locks will rebound and the
alerts mentioned above will appear.
Pressing the central locking button
unlocks the vehicle.
Above 6 mph (10 km/h), this unlocking is
te m p o r a r y.
Activation/Deactivation
You can activate or deactivate this function
permanently.

ith the ignition on, press the central
locking button until an audible signal is
triggered and a corresponding message of
confirmation is displayed.
The state of the system stays in the memory
when the ignition is switched off. Driving with the doors locked may render
access by the emergency services to the
interior difficult in an emergency.
Alarm
(Depending on version)
This system protects and provides a deterrent
against theft and break-ins.
Exterior perimeter monitoring
The system checks for opening of the vehicle.
The alarm is triggered if anyone tries to open a
door, the boot, the bonnet, etc.
Interior volumetric monitoring
The system checks for any variation in the
volume in the passenger compartment.
The alarm is triggered if anyone breaks a
window, enters the passenger compartment or
moves inside the vehicle.
Anti-tilt monitoring
The system checks for any change in the
attitude of the vehicle.
The alarm is triggered if the vehicle is lifted or
moved.
When the vehicle is parked, the alarm will
not be triggered if the vehicle is knocked.
Self-protection function
The system checks for the putting out of
ser vice of its components.
The alarm is triggered if the battery, the central
control or the siren wiring are put out of ser vice
or damaged.For all work on the alarm system, contact a
PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
Locking the vehicle with full
alarm system
Activation
F Switch off the engine and exit the vehicle.
F L ock the vehicle using the remote control or
the "Keyless Entry and Starting" system.
The monitoring system is active: the red
indicator lamp in the button flashes every
second and the direction indicators come on for
about 2 seconds.

Following an instruction to lock the
vehicle, the exterior perimeter monitoring
is activated after 5 seconds and the
interior volumetric and anti-tilt monitoring
after 45 seconds.
If an opening (door, boot or bonnet) is not
closed properly, the vehicle is not locked
but the exterior perimeter monitoring will
be activated after 45 seconds at the same
time as the interior volumetric and anti-tilt
monitoring.
Deactivation
F Press the unlocking button on the remote control.

nlock the vehicle with the Keyless Entry
and Starting system.
The monitoring system is deactivated: the
indicator lamp in the button goes off and the
direction indicators flash for about 2 seconds.
When the vehicle automatically locks
itself again (as happens if a door or the
boot is not opened within 30 seconds of
unlocking), the monitoring system is also
reactivated automatically.
Locking the vehicle
with exterior perimeter
monitoring only
Deactivate the interior volumetric and anti-tilt
monitoring to avoid unwanted triggering of the
alarm in certain cases such as:

eaving a pet in the vehicle,

l
eaving a window or sunroof partially open,
-
w
ashing your vehicle,
-
c
hanging a wheel,
-
h
aving your vehicle towed,
-
t
ransport by ship.
Deactivating the interior
volumetric and anti-tilt
monitoring
F Switch off the ignition and within 10 seconds, press this button until the
red
indicator lamp is on continuously.

mmediately lock the vehicle using the
remote control or the "Keyless Entry and
Starting" system. To be taken into account, the system must
be deactivated every time the ignition is
switched off.
Reactivating the interior
volumetric and anti-tilt monitoring
F Deactivate the perimeter monitoring by
unlocking the vehicle with the remote
control or the Keyless Entry and Starting
system.
The indicator lamp in the button goes off.
F

eactivate all monitoring by locking the
vehicle with the remote control or the
Keyless Entry and Starting system.
The red indicator lamp in the button once again
flashes every second.
Triggering of the alarm
Only the exterior perimeter monitoring is
activated. The red indicator lamp in the button
flashes every second.
This is indicated by sounding of the siren
and flashing of the direction indicators for
30
seconds.
Depending on the country of sale, certain
monitoring functions remain active until
the alarm has been triggered eleven times
consecutively.

When the vehicle is unlocked using the remote
control or the "Keyless Entry and Starting"
system, rapid flashing of the red indicator
lamp in the button informs you that the alarm
was triggered during your absence. When
the ignition is switched on, the flashing stops
immediately.
Failure of the remote
control
To deactivate the monitoring functions:
F u nlock the vehicle using the key (integral to
the remote control) in the driver's door lock,

o
pen the door; the alarm is triggered,
F
s
witch on the ignition; the alarm stops; the
indicator lamp in the button goes off.
Locking the vehicle without
activating the alarm
F Lock or deadlock the vehicle using the key (integral to the remote control) in the driver's
door lock.
Malfunction
When the ignition is switched on, fixed
illumination of the red indicator lamp in the
button indicates a malfunction of the system.
Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a
qualified workshop.
Automatic activation
(Depending on the country of sale)
The system is activated automatically 2 minutes
after the last door or the boot is closed.

o avoid triggering the alarm on entering
the vehicle, first press the unlocking button
on the remote control or unlock the vehicle
using the "Keyless Entry and Starting"
system.
Doors
Your vehicle has doors with frameless windows.
A window micro-descent system is activated
when the door is opened and closed, as soon
as an action is per formed on the outer or inner
door handle.
Opening
From outside
If you leave the door open for more than
one minute, the window goes back up; pull
the handle again to reactivate the system.
In freezing temperatures, the presence of
ice may inter fere with the window micro-
descent system; remove any ice that may
have formed along the seal at the base of
the window, then gently open the door.
When the selective unlocking is activated,
the first press of the remote control
unlocking button permits unlocking of the
driver's door only.
From inside
F After unlocking the vehicle or with the electronic key of the Keyless Entry and
Starting system in the recognition zone, pull
the door handle. The window automatically comes down by a
few millimetres, allowing you to open the door.

this unlocks the vehicle completely.

With the selective unlocking activated:
- o pening the driver's door unlocks the
driver's door only (if the vehicle has not
already been completely unlocked),

pening one of the passenger doors
unlocks the rest of the vehicle.
Closing
Beware of the risk of trapping your fingers
when the window comes up automatically. When a door is not closed correctly:

ith the engine running or the
vehicle moving (speed below
6 mph (10 km/h))
, this warning
lamp comes on, accompanied
by an alert message for a few
seconds.

ith the vehicle moving (speed
above 6 mph (10 km/h))

addition to the warning lamp and
alert message, an audible signal
sounds for a few seconds.
When washing your vehicle:

ock the vehicle using the remote
control or remove the electronic key
from the recognition zone, with the
doors closed.

void spraying the upper part of the
windows.
- k eep the end of the high pressure
lance at least 1 metre away from the
door windows and seals.
The window automatically goes back up after
a few seconds and adjusts to seal the window
perfectly.

Folding

the control A from the central position
rearwards.
If the mirrors are folded using control A ,
they will not unfold when the vehicle is
unlocked. Pull again on control A .
Unfolding
F From outside: unlock the vehicle using the
remote control or the Keyless Entry and
Starting system.

A from the central position rear wards.
Automatic tilting in reverse gear
System which automatically tilts the mirrors
downwards to assist with parking manoeuvres
in reverse gear.
With the engine running, on engaging reverse
gear, the mirror glasses tilt downwards.
They return to their initial position:

via the " Vehicle settings " tab in the

Rear view mirror
Equipped with an anti-dazzle system, which
darkens the mirror glass and reduces the
nuisance to the driver caused by the sun,
headlamps of other vehicles, etc.
Automatic "electrochrome"
model
This system automatically and progressively
changes between day and night use by means
of a sensor measuring the light coming from the
rear of the vehicle.
In order to ensure optimum visibility during
your manoeuvres, the mirror lightens
automatically when reverse gear is
engaged.
The automatic folding and unfolding of the
door mirrors with the remote control can
be set in the Driving/Vehicle
menu of the
touch screen.
If necessary, the mirrors can be folded
manually.

Heating
This is an additional and separate system
which heats the passenger compartment and
improves defrosting performance.
This indicator lamp is illuminated
when the system is programmed.
This indicator lamp flashes while
the heating is in operation or when
you carry out a remote start via the
remote control.
This indicator lamp goes off at the
end of the heating cycle or when the
heating is stopped using the remote
control.
Ventilation
This system allows ventilation of the passenger
compartment with exterior air to improve the
temperature experienced on entering the
vehicle in summer.
Programming
You can programme the heating or ventilation
to come on using the second page of the
"Air
conditioning " menu on the touch screen. Then press "
Temperature
preconditioning ".

Long range remote control

This enables you to switch the heating in the
passenger compartment on or off from a distance.
The range of the remote control is about 0.6 miles
(1
km) in open country.

" Heating " mode to heat the engine and
passenger compartment or " Ventilation"
to
ventilate the passenger compartment.
Switching on
F Press and hold this button to start the heating immediately.
The indicator lamp in the remote control comes
on in green for about 2
seconds to confirm that
the signal has been received by the vehicle.
Switching off
F Press and hold this button to stop the heating immediately.
The indicator lamp in the remote control
flashes for about 2 seconds if the vehicle
has not received the signal.
You should then move to a different
location and repeat the command.
Changing the battery
The indicator lamp in the remote control comes
on in red for about 2 seconds to confirm that
the signal has been received by the vehicle.
If the indicator lamp in the remote control
becomes orange, the state of charge of the
battery is low.
If the indicator lamp is not on, the battery is
discharged. F

se a coin to unscrew the cap and replace
the battery.
Do not throw the remote control batteries
away, they contain metals which are
harmful to the environment.
Take them to an approved collection
point.
The maximum heating period is about
45
minutes depending on the climatic
conditions.

Wireless smartphone
charger
It allows the wireless charging of a portable
device, such as a smartphone, using the
principle of magnetic induction, based on the
Qi 1.1 standard.
The portable device to be charged must be
compatible with the Qi standard, either by
design or by using a compatible holder or shell.
The charging zone is identified by the
Qi
symbol.
Operation
The charger works with the engine running and
in STOP mode of Stop & Start.
Charging is managed by the smartphone.
For versions with Keyless Entry and Starting,
operation of the charger may be interrupted
when opening a door or switching off the
ignition.

F First ensure that the charging zone is clear of other articles.

charging zone.
The system only supports charging one
portable device at a time.

The front and rear touch-sensitive reading
lamps also light up. It switches off:

The front and rear touch-sensitive reading
lamps also go off.
A long press on the courtesy lamp switches it
off completely. Once the finger is withdrawn
from the courtesy lamp, deactivation is effected
and the " OFF" symbol is displayed.

corresponding reading lamp.
Interior ambient lighting
The dimmed passenger compartment lighting
improves visibility in the vehicle when the light
i s p o o r.
At night, the interior ambient lighting comes
on
automatically when the sidelamps are
switched on.
Depending on version, the ambient lighting
includes:

wo LEDs located in the front courtesy lamp.

a l
ight source in the storage compartment at
the front of the centre console.

i
lluminated guides on the front door panels
and on the dashboard. The ambient lighting switches off automatically
when the sidelamps are switched off.
The interior ambient lighting can
be activated or deactivated, its
brightness adjusted and its colour
selected, depending on version, in
the Driving/Vehicle menu of the
touch screen.
The interior ambient lighting is also
managed by the i-Cockpit® Amplify
function.

Door mirror spotlamps
Switching on
The spotlamps come on automatically:

hen you unlock the vehicle,

n opening a door,
-
w
hen a request to locate the vehicle is
received from the remote control.
They also come on with the exterior welcome
lighting and the guide-me-home lighting.
Switching off
They go off automatically after 30 seconds.
To make your approach to the vehicle easier,
these illuminate:

he zones facing the driver’s and
passenger’s doors,
-
t
he zones for ward of the mirror and
rear ward of the front doors.
Automatic headlamp
dipping
System which automatically changes between
dipped and main beam according to the
brightness and driving conditions, using a
camera located at the top of the windscreen.
This system is a driving aid.
The driver remains responsible for the
vehicle's lighting, its correct use for the
prevailing conditions of light, visibility,
traffic and obser vation of driving and
vehicle regulations.
The system will be operational as soon as
you have exceeded 16 mph (25
km/h).
If the speed drops below 9 mph (15
km/h),
the system no longer operates.
