CHANGING A BULB
Front lights
In the engine compartment, remove the style cover secured
by one or two butterfly screws, a plastic retainer clip and
two screws.
Note:
handle the bulbs with a dry cloth.
1 Dipped beam headlamps: H755W or Xenon bulb.
WARNING: RISK OF ELECTROCUTION
Xenon bulbs must be replaced by a PEUGEOT
dealer.
2 Main beam headlamps: H155W.
 Turn the protective cover of the faulty bulb a quarter
of a turn and remove it.
 Disconnect the connector.
 PPress the end of the securing clip to free it. Change
the bulb.
 When fitting the new bulb, ensure that the direction
notches are positioned correctly and the securing
clip is fixed properly. 
Reconnect the connector.
 Refit the protective cover.
The headlamps are fitted with polycarbonate glass with a
protective coating. Do not clean them with a dry or abra
sive cloth, nor with a detergent or solvent product.
3 Side lights: W 5 W.
 Pull the socket rearwards, remove the bulb and
change it.
4 Direction indicators: PY 21 W (amber).
 Turn the bulb holder a quarter turn and remove it.
 Change the bulb.
 Refit the style cover.
Front foglamps: H1 55 W.
Note: In certain climatic conditions (low temperature,
humidity), condensation on the inside surface of the
headlamp glass is normal ; it disappears a few minutes
after the lights are switched on.

Rear lights
Rear wing lights
1 Direction indicators: PY 21 W (amber).
2 Brake lights/side lights: P21/5 W.
 Detach the luggage net.
 Lift the boot carpet with the lifting
hook. Secure this hook behind
the boot seal.
 Unclip the lower part of the sill
trim, then dislodge it by pulling
upwards.
 Remove the plastic retainer clip
securing the side trim to the
floor. 
Unclip the side trim.
 Remove the two butterfly nuts
securing the light.
 Remove the eyelet.
 Take out the lamp.
 Turn the lamp holder a quarter
turn.
 Change the faulty bulb.
 Lock the bulb holder in place.
When refitting it, ensure that the
lamp is correctly positioned and
secured.

WY 5 W (amber).
 Push the repeater forwards or
backwards and release the
assembly.
 Hold the connector and turn the
transparent cover a quarter turn.
 Change the bulb.
Amber coloured bulbs
(direction indicators and
side repeaters) must be
replaced with bulbs of
identical specification and
colour.

Boot lid lights
1 Reversing lights: P 21 W.
2 Fog lamps: P 21 W.
 Remove the three plastic retain
er clips securing the cover trim
(those nearest to the lamp).
 Move aside the trim. 
Turn the bulb holder a quarter
turn.
 Change the faulty bulb. Number plate lights:
W 5 W.
 Remove the transparent cover
using a screwdriver blade.
 Change the faulty bulb.

Fascia panel fuse box
Loosen the screw a quarter turn
with a coin and tilt the cover to
access the fuses.
CHANGING A FUSE
The fuse boxes are located under
the fascia panel and in the engine
compartment.
The replacement fuses and pliers

cia panel fuse box cover.
Removing and fitting a fuse
Before changing a fuse, you must
establish the cause of the fault and
have it put right.

BATTERY
Vehicles fitted with a single battery
To charge the battery using a battery charger:
 Remove the style cover to gain access to the battery,
 Disconnect the battery. Follow the instructions for use given by the
battery charger manufacturer.
 Reconnect the battery, starting with the negative () terminal ,
 Check that the terminals and connectors are clean. If they are co vered with
sulphate (whitish or greenish deposit), disconnect them and clea n them,
 Refit the style cover.
To start the vehicle from another battery:  Remove the style cover to gain access to the battery,
 Connect the red cable to the positive (+) terminals of both ba tteries,
 Connect one end of the green or black cable to the negati ve () terminal of the
slave battery,
 Connect the other end of the green or black cable to an ea rth point on the
broken down vehicle, as far as possible from the battery,
 Start the engine and let it run,
 Wait for the engine to return to idle then disconnect the cables,
 Refit the style cover.
– Never disconnect a ter
minal when the engine
is running.
– Never charge a battery without first disconnect
ing the terminals.
– Close the windows and sunroof fully before disconnecting the
battery.
– After every disconnection of the battery, switch on the ignition
and wait for 1 minute before
starting, to allow the electronic
systems to be initialised. How
ever, if slight difficulties are
experienced after this, please
contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
If electrical work is carried
out, disconnect the starter battery.
It is advisable to disconnect the battery if the vehicle is
not to be used for a period of more than one month.

OWING A TRAILER,
CARAVAN, BOAT ETC...
Only use original PEUGEOTtow
bars which have been tested and
approved from the design stage of
your vehicle.
The tow bar must be fitted by a
PEUGEOTdealer.
Driving advice
Distribution of loads: distribute the
load in the trailer so that the heaviest
loads are as close as possible to the
axle and the nose weight is close to
the maximum authorised without,
however, exceeding it.
Cooling: towing a trailer on a slope
increases the coolant temperature.
As the fan is electronically con
trolled, its cooling capacity is not
dependent on the engine speed.
On the contrary, use a high gear to
lower the engine speed, and reduce
your speed. In all cases, pay attention to the
coolant temperature.
Note:
in certain cases of particularly
arduous use (towing the maximum
load up a steep slope in high tem
peratures), the engine automatically
limits its power. In this case, cutting
off the air conditioning allows the
engine power to be recovered, and
therefore the towing speed to be sig
nificantly increased (approximately
12mph [20 km/h] more).
If the coolant temperature warning
light comes on, stop the vehicle and
switch off the engine as soon as pos
sible.
Tyres: check the tyre pressures of
the towing vehicle and of the trailer,
observing the recommended pres
sure.
Brakes: towing increases the brak
ing distance. Drive at a moderate
speed, change down early and brake
gradually.
Side wind: sensitivity to side wind is
increased. Drive smoothly and at a
moderate speed. Lighting
Manual adjustment
Adjust your headlamps so as not to
dazzle other road users (see section
on ''Manual adjustment of head
lamps''). Check the electrical sig
nalling of the trailer.
Automatic beam correction
For vehicles with Xenon bulbs, this
system automatically corrects the
height of the beam, whatever the
load of the vehicle. The driver is then
assured of having optimum lighting
and not causing a nuisance to other
road users.
In cases of malfunction, the driver is
alerted by means of the warning light
on the instrument panel.
In this situation the system adjusts
your headlamps to the low position.
