10GETTING TO KNOW YOUR VEHICLE
To Lock The Doors
Push and release the lock button on the key fob
to lock all doors. The turn signal lights will flash
once to acknowledge the signal. If a door is
open, the turn signal lights will flash at an
increased rate.
Locking Doors With A Key
1. Insert the key with either side up.
2. Turn the key to the right to lock the door.
3. Turn the key to the left to unlock the door.
Refer to “Dealer Service” in “Servicing And
Maintenance” for maintenance procedures.
Sound Horn With Lock
This feature will cause the horn to chirp when
the doors are locked with the key fob. This
feature can be turned on or turned off. To
change the current setting, refer to “Uconnect
Settings” in “Multimedia” for further informa -
tion.
Key Fob Battery Replacement
NOTE:
Perchlorate Material – special handling may
apply. See www.dtsc.ca.gov/hazardouswaste/
perchlorate . The recommended replacement battery is
CR2032.
1. Push the mechanical key release button
and release the mechanical key to access
the battery case screw located on the side
of the key fob.
2. Rotate the screw located on the side of the key fob using a small screwdriver.

3. Take out the battery case. Remove and replace the battery observing its polarity.
4. Refit the battery case inside the key fob and turn the screw to lock it into place.
Programming Additional Key Fobs
Programming the key fob may be performed by
an authorized dealer.

150IN CASE OF EMERGENCY
Proper towing or lifting equipment is required to
prevent damage to your vehicle. Use only tow
bars and other equipment designed for this
purpose, following equipment manufacturer’s
instructions. Use of safety chains is mandatory.
Attach a tow bar or other towing device to main
structural members of the vehicle, not to
bumpers or associated brackets. State and
local laws regarding vehicles under tow must be
observed.
If you must use the accessories (wipers,
defrosters, etc.) while being towed, the ignition
must be in the ON/RUN mode. If the key fob is unavailable or the vehicle's
battery is discharged, refer to “Gear Selector
Override” in this section for instructions on
shifting the automatic transmission out of PARK
(P) for towing.Automatic Transmission
The manufacturer recommends towing your
vehicle with all four wheels
OFF the ground
using a flatbed.
If flatbed equipment is not available, and the
transmission is operable, this vehicle may be
towed (with front wheels on the ground) under
the following conditions:
The transmission must be in NEUTRAL (N).
The towing speed must not exceed 25 mph
(40 km/h).
The towing distance must not exceed
15 miles (24 km).

Do not use sling type equipment when
towing. Vehicle damage may occur.
When securing the vehicle to a flat bed
truck, do not attach to front or rear suspen -
sion components. Damage to your vehicle
may result from improper towing.
