NOTESSpecial note:
The fault is declared present if the battery voltage is less
than 8 V.
Manipulate the wiring harness between the instrument panel and the battery in order to produce a change in fault
status (Present → Stored).
Look for any harness damage, and check the connection and condition of the battery and its connections.
If there is a repair method (see Technical note 6015A, Repairing electrical wiring, Wiring: Precautions for
repair) repair the wiring, otherwise replace it.
Check the condition of the battery and the charging circuit (see Technical Note 6014A, Checking the
charging circuit).
Check the condition of the vehicle earths.
Check for + 12 V on track 13 of the instrument panel.
If there is a repair method (see Technical note 6015A, Repairing electrical wiring, Wiring: Precautions for
repair) repair the wiring, otherwise replace it.
With the ignition on, check for + 12 V on track 14 of the instrument panel.
If there is a repair method (see Technical note 6015A, Repairing electrical wiring, Wiring: Precautions for
repair) repair the wiring, otherwise replace it.
Check for earth on track 1 of the instrument panel.
If there is a repair method (see Technical note 6015A, Repairing electrical wiring, Wiring: Precautions for
repair) repair the wiring, otherwise replace it.
If the fault is still present, contact the Techline.
