When driving
■
Driving distance
Displays the driving distance sinc e the hybrid system was started.
■ Average fuel consumption after refueling history
Displays the previous five av erage fuel consumption values.
■ Tire inflation pressure
Displays inflation pressure of each tire. There is no correlation
between the order of the displayed values and the tire positions.
It may take a few minutes to display the tire inflation pressure after the
“POWER” switch is turned to ON mode. It may also take a few minutes
to display the tire inflation pressure after inflation pressure has been
adjusted.
Setting up the displays
Display the set up screen on the
multi-information display when
the vehicle is stopped.
Press and hold the “DISP” button
to display the set up screen.
Select the desired item on the
menu screen.
Press and hold the “DISP” button
to enter the setting mode.

Setting the tire inflation pr essure information display
It is possible to set the tire inflation pressure information display so
that it is displayed when the hy brid system is first turned on.
Select “TIRE MONITOR INFO.” on the menu screen. Press
and hold the “DISP” button until the display changes.
Select “DISPLAY” on the menu screen. Press and hold the
“DISP” button until the display changes. Press the “DISP” button to select
“ON” or “OFF”.
After adjusting the tire monitor
information, wait 5 seconds to
allow the display to be automati-
cally input.
●Returning to the previous screen
Select “RETURN” on the menu screen. Press and hold the “DISP”
button until the display changes.

ules and treadwear.

■The tire pressure warning system
Your Toyota is equipped with a tire pressure warning system that
uses tire pressure warning valves and transmitters to detect low
tire inflation pressure before serious problems arise.
(→ P. 503, 509)
Vehicles with compact spare tire: The compact spare tire is not
equipped with the tire pressure warning valve and transmitters.

■When to replace your vehicle's tires
Tires should be replaced if:
●You have tire damage such as cuts, splits, cracks deep enough to
expose the fabric, bulges indicating internal damage
●A tire goes flat repeatedly or cannot be properly repaired due to the
size or location of a cut or other damage
If you are not sure, consult with your Toyota dealer.
■Replacing tires and wheels
If the ID code of the tire pressure warning valve and transmitter is not
registered, the tire pressure warni ng system will not work properly. After
driving for about 20 minutes, the ti re pressure warning light comes on
after blinking for 1 minute to indicate a system malfunction.
■Tire life
Any tire over 6 years old must be checked by a qualified technician even
if they have seldom or never been used or damage is not obvious.
■If the tread wears down below 0.16 in. (4 mm) on snow tires
The effectiveness of snow tires is lost.
■Maximum load of tire
Check that the maximum load of the re placed tire is greater than 1/2 of
the Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) of either the front axle or the rear
axle, whichever is greater.
As for the maximum load of the tire, see the load limit at maximum cold
tire inflation pressure mentioned on the sidewall of the tire, and as for the
Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAW R), see the Certification Label.
