■Routine tire inflation pressure checks
The tire pressure w arning system does
not replace routine tire inflation pressure checks. Make sure to check tire inflation
pressure as part of your routine of daily
vehicle checks.
■Tire inflation pressure
●It may take a few minutes to display
the tire inflation pressure after the
power switch is turned to ON. It may also take a few minutes to display the
tire inflation pressu re after inflation
pressure has been adjusted.
●Tire inflation pre ssure changes with
temperature. The displayed values may also be different from the values
measured using a tire pressure
gauge.
■Situations in which the tire pres - sure warning system may not oper -
ate properly
●In the following cases, the tire pres -
sure warning system may not operate
properly. • If non-genuine Toyota wheels are
used.
• A tire has been r eplaced with a tire that is not an OE (Original Equipment)
tire.
• A tire has been r eplaced with a tire that is not of the specified size.
• Tire chains, etc. are equipped.
• An auxiliary-supporte d run-flat tire is equipped.
• If a window tint tha t affects the radio
wave signals is installed. • If there is a lot of snow or ice on the
vehicle, particularly around the wheels
or wheel housings. • If the tire inflation pressure is
extremely higher t han the specified
level. • If wheels without tire pressure warning
valves and transmitters are used.
• If the ID code on the tire pressure warning valves and transmitters is not
registered in the tire pressure warning
computer.
●Performance may be affected in the
following situations. • Near a TV tower, electric power plant,
gas station, radio station, large dis -
play, airport or ot her facility that gen- erates strong radio waves or electrical
noise
• When carrying a port able radio, cellu-
lar phone, cordless phone or other wireless communication device
If tire position information is not cor -
rectly displayed due to the radio wave conditions, the display may be cor -
rected by driving and changing the
radio wave conditions.
●When the vehicle is parked, the time

Light bulbs
You may replace the following
bulbs by yourself. The diffi -
culty level of replacement var -
ies depending on the bulb. As
there is a danger that compo -
nents may be damaged, we
recommend that replacement
is carried out by any autho -
rized Toyota retailer or Toyota
authorized repairer, or any reli -
able repairer.

■Condensation build-up on the
inside of the lens
Temporary condensation build-up on the inside of the lig ht lens does not indi-
cate a malfunction. Contact any autho -
rized Toyota ret ailer or Toyota authorized repairer, or any reliable
repairer for more inf ormation in the fol-
lowing situations:
●Large drops of wat er have built up on
the inside of the lens.
●Water has built up inside the light.
■When replacing an electronic com -
ponent, such as a lights, etc.

■Front turn signal lights
1 Turn the bulb base counter-
clockwise.
2 Remove the light bulb.
3 Install a new light bulb then
install the bulb base to the light
unit by inserting it and turning
the bulb base clockwise.
■Front fog lights
1 To allow enough working space,
turn the steering wheel.
2 Remove the screws.

8Reinstall the fender liner.
9 Reinstall the screws.
■Rear turn signal lights
1 Open the back door and remove
the cover.
2 Remove the screws and remove
the light unit.
Remove the light unit by pulling it
directly backward from the rear of the vehicle.
3 Turn the bulb base counter-
clockwise.
4 Remove the light bulb.
5 Install a new light bulb then
install the bulb base to the light

Press the switch.
All the turn signal lights will flash.
To turn them off, press the switch once
again.
■Emergency flashers
●If the emergency flashers are used for a long time while the hybrid system is
not operating (while the “READY” indi -
cator is not illumi nated), the 12-volt battery may discharge.
●If any of the SRS airbags deploy (inflate) or in the event of a strong rear
impact, the emergency flashers will
turn on automatically.
The emergency flashers will turn off automatically after operating for
approximately 20 m inutes. To manu-
ally turn the emerg ency flashers off, press the switch twice. (The emer -
gency flashers may not turn on auto -
matically depending on the force of the impact and co nditions of the colli-
sion.)
1 Steadily step on the brake pedal
with both feet and firmly depress
it.
Do not pump the brake pedal repeat -
edly as this will in crease the effort required to slow the vehicle.
2 Shift the shift lever to N.
If the shift lever is shifted to N
3 After slowing down, stop the
vehicle in a saf e place by the
road.
4 Stop the hybrid system.

pedal with both feet to reduce
vehicle speed as much as possi -

consecutive seconds or more, or press

The emergency flashers are
used to warn other drivers
when the vehicle has to be
stopped in the road due to a
breakdown, etc.

way, stop the vehicle using the
