● Your vehicle is fitted with ai rbags to help protect you and
your passengers during a moderate-to-severe collision.
Child Safety (P48)
● All children 12 and younger should be seated in the rear seat.
● Smaller children should be properly restra ined in a forward-facing child seat.
● Infants must be properly restraine d in a rear-facing child seat.
Exhaust Gas Hazard (P60)
● Your vehicle emits dangerous exhaust gases that contain carbon
monoxide. Do not run the engine in confined spaces where carbon
monoxide gas can accumulate.
Before Driving Checklist (P27)
● Before driving, check that the front seats, head restraints,
steering wheel, and mirrors have been properly adjusted.
Seat Belts (P28)
● Fasten your seat belt and sit upright well
back in the seat.
● Check that your passengers are wearing

● Check engine oil, engine coolant, and windshield washer
fluid. Add when necessary.
● Check brake fluid.
● Check the battery condition monthly.
aPull the hood release handle under the corner of the
dashboard.
bLocate the hood latch lever, slide the lever and lift the
hood.
cWhen finished, close the hood and make sure it is firmly
locked in place.
Lights (P431)
● Inspect all lights regularly.
Wiper Blades (P440)
● Replace blades if they leave streaks
across the windshield.
Tires (P442)
● Inspect tires and wheels regularly.
● Check tire pressures regularly.
● Install snow tires for winter driving.

speeds and sudden braking. Take the

●Comes on when you set the
power mode to ON, and goes
off either when the engine
starts or after several seconds
if the engine did not start. If
“readiness codes” have not
been set, it blinks five times
before it goes off.
●Comes on if there is a problem
with the emissions control
system.
●Blinks when a misfire in the
engine's cylinders is detected.
●Readiness codes are part of the on
board diagnostics for the emissions
control systems.

vehicle checked by a dealer.
●Blinks while driving - Stop in a safe
place where there are no flammable
objects. Stop the engine for 10 minutes

●Repeatedly blinks - The system may
be malfunctioning. Have the vehicle
checked by a dealer.
●Do not attempt to alter this system or
add other devices to it. Electrical
problems can occur.

problem.●As a temporary measure, press and hold the
ENGINE START/STOP button for 15 seconds
while pressing the brake pedal and manually
start the engine.
Have the vehicle checked by a dealer.
●Appears if the keyless access remote battery is
too weak to start the engine or the key is not
within operating range to start the engine.
A beeper sounds six times.

●Appears after the driver’s door is opened when
the power mode is in ACCESSORY.●Press the ENGINE START/STOP button twice
with your foot off the brake pedal to change
